Have been to this BJ Wholesale several times. Why do I come to this one or any BJ Wholesale? For the gas. Being on the road and running low this is the place to come to fuel up when you up North Meck. Also, go to the BJ Wholesale up in Mooresville. As for their goods, Make sure you look at the coupon books. We are always on a grab and go mode due to time constraints there may be coupons for those items so check. Also buying bulk items so we have them in stock instead of running to the store everyday. Nice that they have samples. Gives you an opportunity to try the product on the spot and buy too.

I have been totally disappointed with my BJ’s membership which started in September 2014. Being a long-term Costco member, but now living too far from a Costco, I initially selected BJ’s because of the low gas prices. The people at BJ’s are very nice however I just have to assume that everything that they say is just blather and BJ’s is a bait and switch company. For example, they hit you with tons of coupons and brag that manufacturer coupons are recognized. That’s awesome, but on a ROUTINE basis, the products they advertise are NOT in stock; recently Oil of Olay soap(bar and liquid) was advertised but the bars were not on even in the store. I don’t mean sold out – I mean not even a place stocked. Same with with wax melts, Orville Redenbacher– and I can go on and on about how many products you can NOT buy. When you ask customer service at the desk this is the excuse: it’s the computer. For months on end??? Further, the tires are WAYOUTOFPRICE and the deal they have with Munro auto care is simply another scam. They checked something on my car and no surprise, a second opinion took care of that. To add insult to injury, I cancelled my Costco membership after going into a BJ’s on a temporary membership. They quickly converted me to an annual membership but guess what? The fine print: only six months and up for renewal at a huge price. Finally, there is a popular product at all the clubs – Premier Protein Shakes – 30 grams of protein. Costco constantly had them in stock in multiple flavors. BJ’s, that’s a big negative. Further, the front desk can’t even answer simple questions about the product – are they stopping carrying? Will they carry vanilla like they use to? What’s the answer? «I don’t know.» — further, the product looks like it’s been run over by a truck and this has been going on for months. Lastly, the food samplers are just short of carnival harkers and very aggressive and borderline crazy. I cringe when I have to go by two guys that are usually there. BJ’s management should be embarrassed by their behavior. All in all, I have been totally disattisfied with this store. It’s no wonder that BJ’s routinely close down. A real shame. It would be different if this was simply OPINION, but all of these statements are based on absolute fact: product not in stock, lame excuses for unavailable product, lack of integrity in membership.

This is where I get my gas a lot because it is usually the cheapest. Best prices for propane also. Clean parking lot and store. Friendly staff. It also has an automotive service shop if you need something repaired or serviced on your vehicle.

I used to be a member of the Sam’s club in the University; that place was always crazy busy with long lines and a so so selection of merchandise. Left all that behind when I discovered BJ.s. Their selection of ware’s is diverse; you can find lot’s of great deals. I’ve found cute clothing, books, and housewares. My favorite recent find is a humidifier that has a retro look like an old fifties appliance, and it works great! There are some seriously good prices on Bluray and other DVD’s; in particular older stuff. If you’re into classics they probably have a better selection than Best Buy for less than half the price. The main negative is related to the self check out registers. At least half the time when you scan something it beeps and you put it on the conveyor; then it announces that item was not scanned and you have to try again. Invariably you have to have one of the workers come over with their card and try and fix things; it’s maddening. Whoever laid out that whole shopping center needs to go back to design school or something. There is only one way in and one way out; it’s a mess to get out of on the weekends. I just bypass that and shop during the week.

The equivalent of California’s «Costco» warehouses .but with a bigger produce and meat section and significantly smaller lines. Wow… amazing! I can’t sum it up much better than that. If you are looking for family items in bulk(but please stay away from the unhealthy, processed foods, ok?) this is the place for you…
