Not very pleased at all. Had the shrimp fish and my friend had the steak. The rice tasted like it was frigerated for a long time before being re heated and served. Food just had a non fresh taste to it. Ordered 4 shots and found out they were $ 20 each. Bill was 120 for two small dinner plates and 4 shots. Won’t be going back.

Delicious Rojas enchiladas. Great presentation, and exceptionally nice waitress. If you ask they will allow you to try all the enchilada sauces before picking. Husband also enjoyed his shrimp fajitas. Perfect location for date night at the movies!

Great food and service. I highly recommend the agave salad with grilled chicken. It was phenomenal. My husband loved the carnitas fajitas. The marguerites were delicious as well. I definitely will be back.

In a word… unspectacular. Food was bland, price way too high, server a little too«lounge-singer-ish», floor either slippery or tacky… sorry!

Went in for Lunch this weekend. Had Shrimp appetizer(smelled fishy), ordered Carnitas & Fajitas both were dry, no salt, no flavor. Service was okay but the quality and value were not there. Limited menu. Lunch for 2 with no alcohol was over $ 40.00

Went here today using a Groupon. This place was really good. Very tasty food, nice service and overall experience. It’s a little sad that we were the only ones in this restaurant for quite a while. They deserve more business.

Almost ate enough chips and salsa to fill my tummy… they were super good. Nice warm chips and homemade salsa with just enough spice! The tortillas are homemade and spectacular! Last but not least, the drinks… had the mojito and margarita, yes ma’am! Great service, definitely recommend.

We came for lunch on a Saturday, hardly anyone there. Service was great and friendly. Husband had the Chile rellenos. Good twist, filled with fresh veggies. Cooked perfectly. Light and delicious. I had the sope. I really loved the freshness of this also. It could have been a little spicier. The Ceasars salad was perfectly dressed. I will definitely be back.

Such a nice little Mexican restaurant in the middle of concord. My fiancé and I came here with a friend after finding that The Pig & The Pickle was to small and way to busy(Another Place we found on Unilocal down the street). Agave staff was nice and friendly with fast service. We were seated right away and got to munchin on some chips and salsa lol. They played lovely salsa music as me a my guest sat and conversed. The menu seemed to be a bit pricey but some things were in a decent price range with more than enough to eat. I had the Sopa de tortilla… which was heavenly. I was so stuffed I packed to take it home. To sum it up this is a nice place with good service and even better food. I’ll definitely be back :)

The absolute best mole, served by great people. Reading the other reviews is cracking me up; it seems that other people need their hands held. Food for grown-ups.

Not a friendly place. The location is great — it’s near garage parking, next to a movie theater, and on a high traffic street. But I think that may be it. I walked in and there was no restaurant host. Here for a dinner party, so I just followed the crowd. I checked in on Unilocal, and oh wow I get a free margarita. I showed everyone my coupon. I walked up to the bar, and presented the coupon, they said they would honor it, because I had to come on another occasion. Food was ok, but maybe because we were hungry. I didn’t see any restaurant staff, except the people that served the food.

We have driven by this restaurant many many times and this evening we thought we should finally try it out. My family was very disappointed. When we arrived we were not sure what to do. There was no host and no sign saying seat yourself or anything of the like. After about 5 minutes I went to the bartender and asked for a table. He pointed us to a corner. The waiter was very nice. He brought out chips and salsa immediately; this was the best part of the meal. He was prompt getting us menus and filling drinks, but that’s about it. The food took a vey long time to come to the table just over 50 minutes. Unfortunately, when it did come to us it was almost all undercooked. The chicken was raw in the center and the shrimp was the same. We asked for things like black beans instead of refried and flour not corn tortillas and it all came out wrong. The whole experience was disappointing. Also, this is not really a family place. There is no options for kids. We brought the undercooked food to the attention of the server and he had it re-fired. Getting it back also took a long time. Because we sent something back to the kitchen the entire meal was comped. I appreciate that they recognized that they messed up the food and took care of it, but the experience was so poor that we will probably not be back.

This had to have been the best part of our weekend adventure in the bay area. the food was amazing and the chefs really know what they are doing, The place also was very clean with a unique décor. I loved the music and the vibe of the place. The service did need some work though. There was a long wait to bring us our check and for extra tortillas for our fajitas. I will be back to try again and hopefully for 5 stars next time. Maybe my phone will also be working better and we can take some pictures of the wonderful meal we had. It is the kind of food that makes you crave more!

We like it here. I think it could be more than it is but every meal we have had has been hot fresh tasty and served with a smile. The staff is always great. I think the menu is a bit limited and I’d like to see happy hour specials.

I would really like to give more stars, but sadly I can’t. I read the revues before we went. I’d read about slow service, but It was early on Cinco de Mayo, 5:30. It was’t very busy. We were graciously and quickly seated at the bar(our preference). The bartender was great – suggesting drinks and appetizers, telling us about a nice sipping Herradura that I planned for after dinner. The chocolate cake was calling out my name, too. We both ordered Chicken Fajitas(a long time family tradition), with a couple of changes. Everything I asked for, she simply answered«yes, Ma’am». Our food was quickly served, and really good. That is when things went downhill. Another bartender came in, a nice young man. The restaurant was starting to get busy. Our bartender was pulled from the bar and put into a section. The single bartender was caring for the bar while preparing drinks for all the guests. They were both slammed to the wall. We got little attention after that. Our original bartender continued to try to make it to us, as did the present bartender, but they simply couldn’t. We sat for a long time after we finished dinner to get our check. I never did get my Herradura or chocolate cake. Well, I did get my tequila, but elsewhere! Both of the bartenders were highly skilled, friendly, laughing… even while slammed to the wall. What happened to us was not their fault. They did every single thing they could. The fault lies with management. I don’t know what the management issue was. I never saw one. Patrons, please, if your service is slow, look around. If your server is standing around doing nothing, it’s on them. However, if the situation is as it was for us, tip your server/bartender properly. I guarantee you that they dislike not being able to properly serve you. Put the blame where it belongs, at the feet of the management.

IFUSING A GIFTCARD, DON’T COMEHEREWITHIT, THEYWON’T HONORIT!!! For starters, I’ve been using this website for many years, and I know that it’s up to the restaurant ‘s discretion to put their own limitations on how, when, and what to use it on. So the first thing I do is check for these. Didn’t see anything that would not let me use it, so let’s go and have a good time. Yes, service was slow. Yes, they had good chips and salsa. Yes, my shrimp sauce was a little cold. Yes, the waiter was attentive. Now let’s get to the part where all hell broke loose. I flagged down our waiter to let him know before he closed out our bill, I have a coupon to use. He goes on and tells me that they don’t accept coupons on holidays, it’s in their policy. Well where is the policy that says this info, and my coupon, which your restaurant signed up for, doesn’t have that it’s byline. So I asked for the manager. In comes this woman and spins the same story. Well me and family stood our ground and told her that we were not paying the full bill. Then she goes on and tells me that if we like, we can walk out without paying. I was born at night, not last night. If we do that, all you’re going to do is follow us out, and take down our license plate. I’m not going nowhere. Then she tells that it’s actually her dad’s place. Well I need you to call daddy. She didn’t. I think she knew daddy was going to go off on her. Then someone else came out and said that he’s the manager. Ok now their playing games. He then goes on and tells us that he called the Concord PD. Ok, fine, we’ll wait for them then. I guessed that shocked him because he walked away to gather with the other employees to figure something else out. Well they did. They tried to provoke my husband into hitting the waiter. The waiter walked past and asked my husband what did he say. My husband said he wasn’t even talking to him. He said he heard my husband say something, and if he was a man, he would say it to his face. That’s when he got loud, and my husband stood up. Me and my in law jumped up and told him that he was trying to get you to hit him so they could have something else besides this to tell them. Sorry charlie, but that plan failed, and it’s too late to think of another one, because Concord PD is here. (Note: they tried to provoke us 3 times. 1. Telling us to walk out without paying. 2. Trying to get my husband to hit an employee. 3. Pulled the race card by saying they were Mexican. Hoping we were going to call them racial slurs. Not knowing my husband, two sisters in laws are half Mexican. His mom, who was part of our group, is full Mexican.) So I knew it was going to end in our favor because the first thing that the officer said to us was, «How was your food.» lol! He was trying to figure out where his next lunch spot was going to be! So we told him our story, and that took barely five minutes. And one of the officers made sure to tell us his point about the holiday bit. He said that if it was truly a holiday, he would be getting paid time and a half, ha, preach it! He went to talk to them, came back within two mins with our revised bill showing our gift card discount of $ 100. I see that people got theirs not taken off, and some that did. I believe the one’s that did had a smaller denomination. They didn’t want to take that hit of our amount. That’s not my problem. I’m calling the website to see if they can deny them listing this debacle of a eatery . They are scamming for the free advertisement. They want to get you in the door, you buy you food, and present your gift card, then they’ll think of an excuse to not accept it. It’s a good scam because probably 9.8÷10 people will just pay their full bill and not come back. Well that’s okay with them because they’ll take that little hit because they got your money. Do this enough times and their good on their books. Well they just found the .2 of people they won’t sit down and take it. So Unilocalers, beware of this place if using the gift cards, they’ll find any way they can to not let you use it.

Came in for a drink after a long day. Met a very friendly lady bartender. She made a pretty decent martini! Unfortunately there was lipstick on my glass:(. Not the end of the world. Mistakes happen! I asked for another glass to pour my drink in. The new glass has lipstick on it too. This went from being a mistake to incompetence. I got a free drink with my check in and I’m not coming back to get it. I’m turning down free liquor. GETITTOGETHERAGAVE

Went here for lunch with some coworkers. Wasn’t sure what to do expect. Didn’t realize that it was a club at night. Interesting. Has plenty of seating and wasn’t very busy during lunch. That kind of scared me. But the food to be decent. It wasn’t remarkable, but it was good. I’d probably have to come back again and give it another try.
