I was surprised to see so many shoes and footwear in one place. I know a previous review mentioned the vast selection of boots, however, that was not the same for women’s boots. There was a small section in the back of the women’s footwear area. I had seen a boot I wanted to try on their website, however, they only had a couple sizes and not even close to mine. Very little selection of women’s boots. Lots of selection on shoes for everyone though. I was sorely disappointed with the customer service. This is a huge company and plenty of staff walking around or working, yet not one actually asked if we needed anything or was looking for anything until I made eye contact approaching someone concerning the boots. There were three staff that were near the back stocking and chit-chatting together who never acknowledged me when I passed. The only person who acknowledged us was the cashier when we checked out. There weren’t many customers in the store and plenty of staff milling around, so being busy with other customers is not the excuse. I would go back to look for sports items or shoes, but other than that, I wouldn’t bother. They need lessons on interacting with customers, making suggestions, and selling products.

If you are looking for boots this probably the best selection around for steel toe! I was looking for some western boots with a steel toe for horseback riding and was shocked with the selection. The tennis selection is novice at best which was disappointing! Also the camping section is really just weekend warrior stuff not backpacking gear. The gun selection and prices are almost as good and maybe better in some areas than gander mountain. The fishing selection had some really good points like the rattle traps and crank baits are cheaper than bass pro shop. But at the same time the rods were disorganized and difficult to find what you want.

This place is basically a crappy version of Dick’s Sporting Goods with a bunch of store brand stuff. They have a lot of athletic gear, as in Under Armour and Nike shirts and stuff, but their selection for jackets and things is poor — they don’t carry Patagonia or North Face and only have a couple Columbia jackets. They have a bunch of their store brand, however. I would recommend going somewhere else if you’re looking for anything but athletic wear. I was pretty disappointed. I didn’t look at the actual sporting goods, however.
