I really like the tuna subs here! I was becoming a weekly customer until I went there on January 2, 2016 only to discover they are no longer there. I wish they would inform us if the are out of business or relocated???

Ordered a cake from here. Presentation was amazing. However, the cake not so much. I had ordered a tres leches cake and it was not as milky it was definitely more on the dry side.

First time we came they were closed, the bakery is run by the same people running the water store next door, so it is kind of a back and forth. Not the best area, they do have easy parking and the bakery itself is small but cute. Service was ok, selection small. I went with a few macarons and they were ok, not great, but priced fairly compared to most other places. A bit stale, not very fresh. Might have caught them on an off day, I’ll have to come back and try something else next time.

Went in to try this place since I was in Compton, I was in the mood for boba and Unilocal sent me here. I walked in 10 minutes before closing not sure if that was really a problem. Upon entering, I guess the lady was cleaning up we made eye contact I said hello but she continued walking to the back. I remained at the counter and once she came out she asked me what I wanted I tell her a smoothie and she stared at me like I was weird which made me feel like I said something wrong even had me looking back at the menu to make sure there was such thing and then she went on to say«we don’t have any smoothies today our ice machine is broken» to me that was like a I’m closing so I don’t feel like it but I brushed it off. I ended up just purchasing some macarons which were pretty good and the price on them are great, cheapest I’ve ever seen them for.

It could’ve been better. But it wasn’t all bad! The workers are nice! The macaroons are a bit to sweet for my taste and the boba was a no-no for me. I think it’s a super cute shop though! I’m glad there around I wanna try there sandwiches!

Delicious macarons! I was looking for the perfect gift for my landlord. This place was the solution — they had something colorful, sweet, and cute all in one package. I bought a dozen pre-selected macarons for $ 12 — pretty sweet deal for $ 1 per macaron. I know some other places in the area sell them for at least $ 2+ a piece, so this place is a pretty slick deal. You also have the option of selecting a dozen macarons for $ 12, or buying one macaron for $ 1.50 each. If you’re feeling adventurous, they sell macaron ice cream sandwiches!

Got a macaron ice cream sandwich, sadly it was NOT great at all… stale, hard, breaking apart all over and the ice cream kept falling out of it so I ended up just eating the ice cream and throwing the rest of the giant macaron away. :( The sandwiches are made fresh to order though, and even that was just«okay»… Didn’t have much flavor.(I ended up adding a ton of tapatio sauce just to give it some flavor!) I wanted to like this place since it was nearby compared to other locations with macarons available but sorry… won’t be coming back :(

The moment I found out that I would work near the Compton area, I immediately looked up bakeries that sold macarons. And I am so glad I found Happy Sweet Bakery! I have been here twice already, and I have nothing bad to say about the service, the quality of everything, and the price! The store is inside of the Ralph’s shopping plaza all the way towards the back near a water store. It’s not too big, with a few tables inside and a few barstools along the window. Because Happy Sweet Bakery sells a lot of different pastries, they have a lot of different things and signs inside of the store. They sell ice cream, ice cream sandwiches, chocolates, macarons, sandwiches, coffee, boba, macaron ice cream sandwiches, cookies, cupcakes … the list goes on! I primarily came for the macarons. One single macaron costs $ 1.50, a pre-assorted dozen costs $ 12, and a custom dozen costs $ 15. Wow, what a great deal when macarons are starting to become $ 2.50 each almost! I bought a pre-assorted dozen, and even though there were flavors that I probably wouldn’t have tried/bought, they were all very good. The macarons had that soft and chewy consistency which I really like, but they tasted really fresh, too. I ate like 5 on the way home. They were that good! A few favorites included salted caramel, peanut butter, raspberry, lemon, cassis. Even the spicy mango was interesting, but I don’t think it was a favorite. I loved the texture, and for that great of a price … a must-buy! I also had the opportunity to buy cupcakes from here. At $ 1.50 each where they frost it when you buy it — the cupcakes are amazing. I tried every single flavor, red velvet with cream cheese, vanilla with whipped frosting, and chocolate with the whipped frosting and they were all very moist and flavorful. But chocolate was my favorite! They come in individual cupcake boxes, too! I definitely want to come back and try their custom strawberry puff pastries, but I was advised that I need to preorder those. Credit card for $ 10 and up I believe. If you like macarons and sweets, you definitely have to check this place out!

Love bake goods? And for a decent price? Then this is your spot! I found this place thru Unilocal since I’ve been looking for a spot that makes canolis. I’ve had canolis from various spots and so far this place nails it. Their macaroons are great in texture and flavor. And the price is cheap compared to other bake shops. $ 12 for assorted dozen or for $ 3 more you can choose your own dozen. Some bake goods require 24 hours. But they’re definitely worth the wait. The bobas are good also. I’ll come in another day to try their sandwiches and soups. Since they make their own bread for the sandwiches. The young lady over the counter was super nice and friendly and answered all my questions. The Asian lady that came out from the back greeted me and was super sweet. I’m glad I found this spot. It’s just 5 mins driving distance from were I work. Now I don’t have to drive all the way to DTLA for bake goods.

I only came here because I was unfortunate enough to get summoned for jury duty at the Compton Courthouse. This was the only decent looking place within walking distance from the courthouse and has both food and desserts. Because the name is Happy Sweet Bakery it sounds like it only has desserts but it also serves sandwiches and wraps. Since this is a bakery it also bakes its own bread for sandwiches. I think I ordered the most boring sandwich from its menu — Grilled Chicken. The bread tasted pretty good but the filling was rather ordinary. The chicken tasted clean but didn’t have much flavor. It came with standard sandwich items like lettuce, tomato, pickles, and mayo. I probably should’ve gone with BBQ Pork or Pastrami. Price isn’t bad at just $ 5.00, and you can make it a combo for $ 1.50 more with soup or salad. For dessert I got some sort of blackberry/blueberry tart and six various flavors of macarons. The tart wasn’t too sweet and tasted ok, but nothing too special. The macarons were way too sweet and texture was inconsistent between flavors. I think I got peanut butter, hazelnut, green tea, raspberry, mocha, and passionfruit. The mocha was extremely bitter and sweet at the same time, and the macaron shell was too crispy and chalky. Peanut butter and hazelnut were the only two flavors I liked but they were also too sweet. At $ 1.50 a piece, price isn’t bad. It’s actually one of the lowest priced macarons I’ve seen. You can get dozen for $ 15 and $ 7.50 for half dozen. It’s located just east of the railroad tracks on Compton Blvd.

Was in the area and decided to give this place an actual try. I got there after their closing hours and the lady attending us was extremely nice and was in no rush to kick us out but on the contrary talked to us and even offered us some sample macaroons. I’m glad their business hours are updated and I will definitely be returning. A+ customer service

I live and work in Orange County for over 16 years. What really motivated me every time I crave for sweets especially macarons or cookies, I think of Happy Sweet Bakery. They have so many selections to choose from their menu and customize basically anything you can think of on your next event or party. This place is a hidden gem in Compton.
