Trimendous Hair Care For Children

It’s a fun experience for our 2 year old. We’ve been here many times our son has very fast growing hair! When he started crying with the haircut, the stylist continued sipping away and did a great job. I found it funny reading the review of the guy who got his own hair cut there and complained that he paid 17 instead of 10 dollars. Did he sit in the red fire engine and ding the bell while they cut his hair? Anyway, great place for kids — not really designed for grown men lol.

I started bringing my son there when he was 20 months old. At the time, he was a super active, busy toddler, and nobody could so much as approach him with a pair of scissors. The girls at Trimendous did a fabulous job – I had never seen anyone cut a kid’s hair so quickly and so well at the same time. The stylist was practically flying around him and did a beautiful job. We have come back again and again, even after having moved and having to drive thirty to forty minutes to get there. They have kids’ chairs designed as cars, DVDs for them to watch, toys to play with while waiting and little prizes for afterwards.
Someone has complained that the front desk MADE them tip the stylist. This is ludicrous, nobody ever did that, and I’ve been there at least 10 times. Not that you wouldn’t want to tip them for a job well done.

My kid needed a real haircut in time for Easter family time pics (he usually gets a bathroom buzz cut hatchet job from his dad), so stopped in for the 2^nd time since he was about 2 y/​o.
Salon is still clean, well-​maintained, and decorated with kids in mind. There are car and pony chairs that are in front of a little TV at each styling station. They can choose a movie from the rack when it’s time for the cut. Any wait time can be spent playing with toys, a train table, fun house mirror, books, or vintage Nintendo video games.
After the cut the kids get a sucker and can play a game that will let them pick a small toy from colored bins.
Stylist who cut his hair was pleasant, quick, and precise (asked for a military high and tight deal). ~$ 13 was the damage before tip. I saw a sign that said if you buy 3 or so cuts 1 is free. They cut adult hair somewhere in the back.
Note to the reviewer who scoffed at the very nature of tipping: Hello, this is the United States and we TIP our servers, stylists, etc. who do a good/​great job! Sounds like you have a racial/​ethnic chip on your shoulder, too. I am a ‘person of color’ and was there with another fellow ‘minority’ and we were both treated well and simply like PEOPLE by the staff there.
To the other reviewer who clearly can’t read: There is indeed a sign on the door for $ 10 cuts for MEN on Mondays.

They are great at what they do. My son loves to sit in the firetruck and pick out a movie of his choice. They are great with kids and give really great haircuts. Then my son plays a game and gets a toy, a sucker and sticker. He loves it. I have always been treated with respect. Have been going here ever since my sons first haircut and he is almost 4 now.

Loved our experience here! Little Baby had her first haircut here and Miss Jessika did an awesome job with her. She was fast, efficient, gave us sound advice and spoke to Little Baby in a calm tone. Little Baby sat on a pink pony and watched a short video. She didn’t even fuss. I wish we lived in the area so we can go to her for regular cuts.

Took our son for his first haircut and they did a great job. No tears until right at the end. The price was great considering the excellent service. TVs with DVDs for every station– perfect to keep them distracted! We will definitely be back.

The owner is so rude and prejudice, they expect you to tip them over $ 5 all the time and if you don’t then they will tell you in ur face (it’s insulting if you don’t tip) what kinda of business is force to tip ??? If that the case have a sign posted saying please tip style …

This salon has a sign hair cut is $ 10 and they charged $ 17 for hair cut for my child now on top of that it’s very obvious this styles doesn’t have enough experience cutting hair because one side of my sun hair is up and the other side is down. Never coming back here again

I’ve never understood why, but from very early on, my five year-​old kid has been TERRIFIED of getting her hair cut. I want to say «but when we walked in the door…» but the truth is, once she realized those cars were barber chairs, she lost it.
Marina, however, was totally unfazed by this. She offered a DVD, a sucker, a calming voice… it took a long time, but by the end, my kid was ready to go back to the chair and finish watching the movie. I was pretty impressed, to say the least.
«But what about the haircut?» Well, it looks great. Marina offered helpful suggestions, listened to what my wife was asking for, and managed to pull it off with a very uncooperative kid. Short of providing complimentary beer to daddies, there’s nothing more I could have asked for.

Fantastic place. Took my fifteen month old son here after two horrible haircuts in a row at another children’s haircut place. The women there were friendly and the stylist was efficient and awesome. He loved the car chairs! His hair came out great and we’ll be getting his haircut there from here on out. So glad we found a place finally!

We have been going to Sara for a few years now and followed her to her salon opening. The salon is awesome, very kid friendly and Sara is the BEST hair stylist EVER! My kids always get compliments on their hair cuts, especially my son, since he has a very short hair cut and it really highlights the perfection of her cut! Everyone is very professional and very eager to please the customer. 10 stars!

Went here for my daughter’s first haircut. It was a wonderful experience! Jessika made my daughter comfortable and put in a Mickey Mouse dvd for her to watch. My daughter sat in the fire truck seat and had such an enjoyable time. At the end of the haircut, Jessika asked if she could add sparkles to her hair and my daughter still talks about the sparkles! Great place for kids. It is such a fun place for siblings or others who have to wait. It is very kid friendly. They have video games and other toys while waiting, if needed. They are super affordable, too! They take appointments and walk ins. They are located next to Sonic on Pontiac Trail and across from the big Wal Mart. They are in the same strip mall as an AT and T store. We will be returning! We loved it!

Went for my daughter’s first haircut. She had such a good time she cried when it was time to leave! Everyone was so friendly. They gave her a little toy to take home, and a certificate with some of her hair as a keepsake! Will definitely return.
