Ewers Septic Service

This is my first time ever owning a home with a septic tank. Ewers Septic Company was recommended to me by neighbors. I was very pleased with their work. They were on time, efficient and true to their phone quote. I will definitely use them in the future!

What a disaster. I used them a few years ago and they were great but apparently the only competent worker left, because the idiost that came to my house this time were useless. They seemed like they didn’t know what they were doing and they were very grouchy (and profane with my 4 year old child at home) and it took them a good five hours to leave my house that day. I’m still a little nervous that my septic tank wasn’t even cleaned after all. I’ll be using someone else next time.

The service itself was fine but please make sure you have a price quote in writing before you let them begin the work because they will raise the price and then you are stuck paying.
I called them and was quoted $ 175 for my tank. I even reconfirmed the price because I used them the last time and still had the receipt for $ 155.00. The woman explained that the rates have gone up, which is reasonable because the last time my tank was cleaned was 5 years ago.
After the man finished the work, he told me my total was $ 265! I called the owner and explained the situation and she said, «Oh, I must have said the wrong price» and refused to even meet me half way on the new price. Very disappointing. If your rates go up, that is absolutely fine with me, but I would have called around to many companies for quotes but I was lied to about the final price until the work was actually done. Beware.

Our septic tank has a problem and they refuse to dig it up because it’s winter. What the hell, this is the most mild winter ever. They refuse to look at the real problem and instead just clean out our tank every so often (which obviously means there’s a problem). I refuse to ever get service from then again. They also blamed my boyfriend for not fixing the toilet (which he did, last week and the field is backed up again). They don’t care if people have emergencies like we do and can’t do the dishes or take showers.

Fast, decent prices and great service. I use them every 1 – 2 years and have never used anyone else. They are dependable and do what you pay for, clean out your septic tank! Owner is the guy that comes out and is very friendly and comes on time, what more can you ask for.
