Tasty Donuts

I was alerted to Tasty Donuts on a local Facebook page for our city. The main selling points were the small town atmosphere, good prices, and cake donuts. I love me some cake donuts.
So I hopped in the car and drove myself down there. Not surprisingly, it’s in a pretty run down, old part of town. Most of the businesses look abandoned, but aren’t! There’s a wonderful dentist the next street over, too.
I walked in and it was so cute. A little cluttered, but very old school. Who do I see behind the counter? An adorable lady who was so happy to see me and welcome me to her business. She was a little low on goodies as she had been cleaned out earlier, but still have about a dozen goodies. I saw plain cake donuts and I wanted them, but I like frosting. She sensed this and offered to frost them. To which I was completely grateful! I walked out with some donuts and a couple sodas for later. It was nice to see somewhere that time hasn’t changed in all the best ways.
I will be back… often!

As a followed the map on my phone, I feel dread start to creep as I look around the area I’ve been guided into. I thought I had driven into an abandoned town from the wild, wild West. Dust was thick in the air and a lone tumbleweed rolled across the road in front of me. The whole place appears to be abandoned until I notice the neon «open» sign in the window. I circled the block because my intentions were to just move on and chuckle about what I saw but I circled back and stopped!
Inside, the shop were some farmers in bib overalls having their morning coffee. It was like being in another time!
My suggestion if you’re remotely close… GET IN AND TRY THESE DONUTS!!!

These donuts are made fresh by hand every single day. The interior decoration is a bit plain but the donuts are so inexpensive and have high quality! Its $ 5.99 a dozen, 59 cents for 1, and the best deal is the day old donuts which are 4 for $ 1!
The owner is also really nice and sometimes her daughters come in to work too.

Someone from work brought donuts from this place and by far the best donut I have had. Don’t bother driving all the way to VooDoo Donuts this place is the bomb!!!
