Swank Salon

Miranda has been my hairdresser for the last 10 years or so. I wouldn’t let anyone else do my color — she’s the only one who gets it right. I started with her when she worked at a salon in Belmar, and I stuck with her when she began working in Commerce City and then opened Swank Salon several years back. She’s fabulous, and she and her crew are top notch — all friendly, all very talented. If you’re local, go there. If you’re from Denver (I live in RiNo), make the drive (25 minutes every 6 – 8 weeks — totally doable).

Called one morning to book a last minute coloring. The young lady that answered the phone was so extremely informative and nice! She said they were available right now and I was able to coming in!!!
When I arrived at the salon, I was greeted with a warm smile in a very open and clean atmosphere. Katie was my hair stylist. She was amazing nice and answered all my questions, she knew what I wanted and delivered amazing customer service.

I’m thrilled to have a wonderful salon in my neighborhood, as I am not a fan of Denver traffic. Swank is nestled into a small strip mall in Commerce City. I called yesterday for an appointment, and they were able to get me in today.
The salon is clean and beautiful, very well decorated. Cayla was awesome. She listened to what I wanted, and then did it. I’m very happy with the entire experience, and will definitely return.

Had an appointment yesterday with Nate for a haircut. I wanted to somewhat fix my current haircut. I had a heavy layer that I didn’t care for and wanted to make it blend more. I explained this and showed pictures of what I wanted. I made it clear that I dislike choppiness. I washed and straightened my hair this morning to see what my haircut was like. It was not good. It’s very chopped on the top layer then smooth through the middle layers and the bottom is very uneven. Going to my old stylist in the morning to try to fix it.

She took the time to analyze my hair type and current color, made suggestions and confidently stated.
During the process she explained colors, what technique she was using, how we could crank it up a notch or stay conservatively within the range of what I currently have and options to fix a previously bad cut.
The price was great too!

Finding a great stylist in the suburbs is difficult — Ashley at Swank is just that. She faded, texturized, and made my hair perfect. She took her time and cut with precision. I couldn’t be happier — and the price is just unbeatable. The salon itself is very warm and inviting. They also keep records of the services and look you up when you call. It makes for a seriously great experience.

Love! This was my first time here, having just built a house down the street i love that it is so convenient. I loved that Elle was very knowledgable in all products and had great suggestions to give me the best color options for what we were working with. She was very attentive, knew exactly how to give me the look I wanted and I couldn’t be happier! The 50% off first time customers from Unilocal was a great perk and I will definitely be returning! Ashley is amazing! Beautiful cut and great pointers on styling my own hair!!! The interior is very hip. Prices appear steep but for the finished product well worth it!

I have a lot to say about this salon. It might sound crazy– but i want to love it. I feel beautiful just walking inside. From what I understand– Miranda is responsible for that– great job.
I have been disappointed largely in many ways. I am not sure why i have given the salon so many chances– I guess because it is so close to my house and I love the ambiance. The last cut I got was so awful that I cried for the whole weekend. I have had color done there twice and had to have it fixed both times. One time Nate fixed it– which I was satisfied with, the 2^nd time, I went somewhere else. Though I promised myself I would not get a cut or color done at Swank again– I went to get my eyebrows done– and was disappointed in that. I asked that the middle of me brows be waxed. The stylist said she doesn’t see many hairs and they are small. but she will try to tweeze them. I again said please wax it. She wouldn’t. As I was paying– I asked the woman at the front desk how much 2 different product cost. Her response– «I think they are the same price, i am not sure how much.» As she said this– i felt as though I was being a huge inconvenience pulling her eyes away from the IPAD. I went again this past weekend for a conditioning treatment. I felt it was a bit overpriced at 50.00; I would have appreciated more options.
Customer service is so so important, especially in this industry. I am willing to pay the price to keep my hair looking good.. I even gave multiple chances when my hair was messed up. But I refuse to deal with bad customer service
With this being said– Every time I have had an interaction with Miranda– she has been so informative, catering, professional and polite. The salon looks amazing. Miranda– In my opinion you have a staff that is doing a huge disservice to you. In my opinion– if you would pay more attention to the way your staff is treating clients (especially when you are not there) your salon would be a 5 in my book.

Overpriced. I went in for a $ 50 hair dye job and style. And ended up paying $ 110 for roots touch up and highlights. I told the guy that I was military and couldn’t have drastic highlights and I walked our with blonde ones and I’m a brunette. I had to use a box dye a few days later to fix it.

Swank Salon is a fantastic salon and I highly recommend it. The atmosphere is comfortable and friendly. Miranda has been doing my hair for over six years, and I won’t go anyplace else. I have very thin hair and was looking for someone who could help me with it and Miranda has been terrific. She and Nate also did the hair and make up for my bridal party last year and did an outstanding job.

I will never go back here to get my color done! I went in to get highlights and they were orange and I had chunks of brown within the highlight itself. I looked like a cheeta! And when I went back to get it fixed they didn’t fix it. However, I got my hair cut by Lauren and she did a great job! Plus she had a ton of energy and was really fun. DO NOT GO TO NATE! He was horrible! very lazy and seemed like he had no idea what he was doing. he didn’t want to fix my hair and therefor didn’t.

GREAT Salon and Stylist! I have found Elizabeth to be a top notch stylist that I completely trust to do my color, cut and extensions. I wanted to share my rave review and allow those interested in finding a great salon and stylist that I highly recommend. Also want to add the receptionist gives an appt reminder courtesy call that is so very appreciated.

Swank Salon is an excellent addition to the neighborhood! The place is clean, staff is friendly, and most importantly, they do an excellent job.
I used to see Felicia and once she left I went back to Floyd’s; what a mistake! The girl at Floyd’s totally butchered my hair. it was so bad my husband even noticed (lol)!
Desperate, I went to Swank and found Aimee. She did such a great job I was speechless. She listened to what I wanted, was honest about what she could do with the cut, and made my color shine. I’ve received so many complements on my hair. I’m extremely pleased!
Their prices are pretty good and they carry an excellent product line!

I’ve struggled to find a good hair salon since I moved to Colorado 5 years ago. I’ve tried about 5 different places and have been ok with most of them, but never really happy until I found Swank Salon. Swank opened up in December 2009 down the street from my house and in June I finally gave it a try. I’m so glad that I did. My first appointment was with Felicia for a color and highlight. She did a great job. I was immediately happy. My next appointment in July was with Elizabeth who colored, highlighted and cut my hair and again, I was happy. I have naturally curly hair and it’s difficult to find someone that does a proper cut. I just went in mid-​September and saw Felicia again for another color and highlight and she did a fantastic job. I have never had so many compliments on my hair color before.
I’ve also talked with Miranda, the owner, and she is extremely friendly and nice. The atmosphere in Swank is great. It’s got a polished look yet you don’t feel like you’re in a salon that’s too hoity toity. I would recommend their services to anyone. It’s a great place to go and feel confident that you’ll get what you asked for when you leave.
