Awful customer service the manager was rude and obnoxious, I will never go back again

You get what is expected when you have kids running the store. They don’t know anything about customer service. The least they could do is fake a smile and not act like i’m bothering them when it comes to them doing their job. The best thing about the place is the print shop because they have adults working and managing. Don gets overwhelmed sometimes but that’s what happens when you’re understaffed and try to do 3 different projects at once. I had to go back 4 times because each time I went in my project wasn’t done.(They said another 15 minutes each time… but I gave them a half hour each time. Still wasn’t long enough.) He did realize he messed up and apologized for it in the end. It seems to me that upper management does not give their floor managers the propper resources or training to operate correctly.

This place is awful. I came here to photo copy some important documents, only to find that THREE of the four self service copy machines are out if Oder. When I go to the copy and print center to ask for copies the pink haired woman responds«um no. I can’t make you copies» I responded simply by just staring at her, as this is not an appropriate response. She then begrudgingly added«I can do it later. « So now I wait on line to use the one machine available as she stands around texting on her cell phone. Great customer service here.

So I go to stony brook staples and the scanner is broken not to mention there always running around with there head chopped off . Make the trip it commack staples and they now tell me that can’t scan color and there downloading a large file and it’s going to be :20 minutes to scan one piece of paper wtf I’m done with these box stores no service 20,000 sq with one computer great business plan oh and yes they sell computers dumb shits

I go to Staples to buy electronics because they are VERY good about their warranties and they always match competitors prices. The products such as binders, pens, paper etc can be found cheaper elsewhere so I tend not to buy those kind of items here. However, when it comes to Kindles, Camera, Laptops I always shop here. Customer service is great with returns, exchanges and again, replacing items damaged as long as you buy a warranty. Always spend the extra 50 bucks or so to get the warranty, it’s worth it. One thing I don’t like about this staples however is that anytime I use the fax machine and need assistance it is as if I’m invisible. I will stand at the fax copy center counter and nobody will get out of their chair to help. The staff in that area is quite different than the rest of the store because every employee behind the registers have always been helpful. One last perk about Staples, they are open later than any other store on Christmas Eve!!! Learned this last year when I was in tears trying to find a Kindle and Best Buy and Target had closed early, Staples saved me this Christmas!!!

I don’t go to this Staples all that often. But when I do, I find the place very messy, with shelves in disarray, similar products in different places, and customer service people difficult to locate for assistance. It’s very hard to find anything during the regular shopping season, but if you come here just before school and this place is 10x with long lines. I don’t find the prices here are worth having to wade through the mess.

One of the worst Staples I’ve been to. Poor training accounts for most of it. When you don’t know something, the answer is «I don’t know» or «Let me find out for you» not«There’s no such thing». The lines move incredibly slowly, and no matter how long the line, they never send anyone else up to the registers to ring. Customer service is horrible.

The management here is horrible at helping with customer service. They need to retrain their employees. Let me explain… Back to school shopping it was crazy and i already expected that(August 2008)… I needed a hard-drive for school and someone on the floor was able to help me and said he could hold the item for me. It was 5pm. He gave me his name & said i HADUNTILCLOSINGTIME to go to customer service and pick it up. I returned about 20 mins before closing time to pick it up. I went to customer service and told the young girl there that the hard drive was being held for me by so & so who said i can pick it up later. Her response? that they«werent allowed to hold any items for anyone and that the hard drive that was on the counter was sold it to someone else who wanted it because it was sitting there for 2 hrs.» Meanwhile my name was on it as per the sales associate from earlier who said i had until closing. if it wasnt allowed it should have NEVER been offered in the first place. But he was just being nice. *ahem* I was pissed off. I gave her the sales associates name that put it on hold for me and told her it technically was not even 9pm yet. The manager stepped in defending her employee and telling me that they are NOT allowed to hold any items for anyone and that the item was sitting there for a «couple» hours. Well excuse me. its not even 9 pm. The sales associate was doing me a favor and it was really nice of him to put it aside. As a manager she should then retrain her employees and learn to have better customer service skills. DONOTGOHERE I have worked in retail before and have held items for people. At least i was courteous and succeeded in customer service. I dropped my items i was going to buy on the customer service desk and in a bin in front of the manager and walked out. Have a nice night. =)

good place to buy your typical office supplies. Do not allow them to make copies or cut pre-printed paper for you. they are clueless.
