Amazing hot food for take out and a big selection of polish products. They have a really good $ 7 deal for a choice of meat, two sides and a salad. I highly recommend bigos ! I’m polish and I approve: D

Just a true gem in Commack, amazing hot food for low prices, great deli section. I use them whenever I can for parties and of all the chain fast food places we could choose, this is my 10 year old son’s favorite place to get dinner! Please check them out and support them, Commack needs more of these kind of mom and pop food merchants!

I’ve only been here once which was yesterday and I loved it. Excellent lunch special with sausage & onions, beet salad which was awesome and potatoes that were pretty plain but the other hot food looked very good too. Got myself 3 jars of pickles too, they have a great selection. Will be back many times.

Great meal for excellent price every single time. Enjoy an awesome $ 7 lunch that is enough food for two meals — how can you beat that? Highly recommend.

The pin on the map WILLNOTTAKETOTHESTORE! Look for the actual address. Disregard the map. Otherwise… eh. Decent products but very limited selection. Their hot food section is probably their strongest draw. Traditional Polish dishes prepared well and seemingly fresh. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. I’d just need to see about 4 times more cold cuts and smoked meats and such to consider this a worthwhile trip.

it’s no wonder that all six reviews i just read give this gem the highest rating! it should get a five star plus rating, but five is the highest i can give. the store just smiles at you when you enter. lots of european stock, many varieties of sauerkraut, beets, soups, cookies, candies, and various and sundry other delicious products. but the hot food is the best this area has to offer, and at very reasonable prices. all fresh, all made daily, all top quality ingredients and all delicious. pork, chicken and fish, perrogies, hunters stew(bigos in polish), potatoes, veggies, and meat cakes made with all the tender loving care any mother puts into her home prepared dinner fare. lunch specials and full dinners usually for $ 7 or less. enough to feed two, and i like to eat! i live 2 miles away, and my office is 1 mile away. at least twice a week, i go to the store and get the office lunch, and often bring home dinner. their baked fish is tender, spiced just right, and literally melts in your mouth. never overdone… most restaurants do not know how to properly make fish this tender, it’s obviously an art. newsday ran a small review a few months ago, and the next day the lines were out the door. get there on a friday, when jake goes to brooklyn at 5 am and returns with all kinds of specialty polish bakery products, cheese cakes, jelly and jam goods and rolls filled with poppy seeds. all soooooo good. i can’t say enough about this place. it is a small strip shopping center half a mile south of jericho turnpike in commack. go out of your way to get there; you’ll be so glad you did. thank you jake for making such a wonderful respite in an area that sorely needed just such a restaurant.

Visited here for the first time after hearing about it from my family who live locally. The gentleman was VERY friendly, helpful and eager to please. He gave me numerous recommendations, which I trusted. He also offered various hot food dishes for take out. What I bought(some baked goods) was fresh and tasted exactly like I would get from the Polish markets in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. The only thing is you may want to call ahead if you are looking for something specific, as they sell out of certain things fairly quickly. I can’t recommend this place enough and will certainly be back for what I couldn’t get today next time I am in town.

The owners also own a cleaning service so that is how I know them. I knew it took them forever to open due to all the county red tape. When they finally opened, my wife and I went to their grand opening. It was good but we live kinda far. My friend lives in East Northport so I told him about it. I saw him a few weeks later and he thanked me for telling him about the place. He has eaten there several times already and told me he loved it. A few months ago I visited again when I decided to do takeout for my family. When we arrived, Tomasz, looking exhausted, told us that he got wiped out– everything sold out. But then he did the most amazing thing, he asked us what we wanted and went in the back and started cooking. We got pierogis, hunters stew, kielbasa, amongst other things. Absolutely delicious! Now here is the best part– the price. Seriously, it is cheaper to eat here every night than to cook it yourself. God bless them.

It’s a game changer having a place like this near by… For me trying a different Polish store is not something to be taken lightly. Wide variety of kielbasas. Also sausages, franks, bacons, cold cuts. Try the Hetman pickles. They are awesome. Very friendly folks and happy to give samples. Still kind of getting set up, so can only see the place improving. Hot food section sets them apart from others. Had the homemade perogies today(potato and sauerkraut/mushroom) and they were the best I have ever had(sorry Mom). Prices are also very reasonable. Take a look for the fresh donuts on shelf behind counter. Not sure where they come from, but they are wonderful. Best of luck to this place!

Well… this was my first time going into this store since it opened last week. As soon as I walked inside, I knew that I had fallen in love! The smell of the fresh cooked Polish food filled my nostrils with delight. It is a small store, but it has a lot of quality stuff inside. The two dry shelves pack a lot of punch with a great assortment of teas, canned fish and desserts! Their refrigerator has kielbasa, kefir, yogurts and a few various Polish drinks. The man behind the counter(Jake, I believe) was very nice. He also informed me that they would soon be adding a bakery section. This will consist of breads and various Danishes. I haven’t even gotten to the FRESHFOOD yet! So, they have freshly made meals every day in addition to their impressive collection of deli meats. There were two kinds of soup, one of which was a mushroom soup that was out of this world! Cabbage rolls, sauerkraut and kielbasa, beef goulash, fish, pork with plums, rice, potatoes, a fried mushroom and sauerkraut«wrap», blintzes and a few other things that I am drawing a blank on at the moment. Ooo I forgot to mention that you can get lunch to go here for $ 5-$ 7!!! Unbelievable!!! I can safely say that I tried a great deal of this food today and it was absolutely outstanding. They also have fresh made pierogies that I am told, you have to go early for. I am getting my first taste of those potato and cheese pierogies tomorrow! Overall, this store is amazing and they will get to know me very very well. I can’t say enough good things about this store.
