I ordered the double cheese burger and it was so soggy and mushy I couldn’t eat it ! Gross !

Being from California, White Castle is. HUGE novelty. I was very excited that my hotel was a few miles away. I had tried White Castle in Vegas but was told that the east coast ones are exceptionally better. As a result, I gave White Castle another chance. I got a few dif sliders — original, bacon cheeseburger, chicken, fish, and jalapeño cheese. The original ones tasted somewhat better than the Vegas ones but they still did not wow me by any means. The ret of the sliders were worse than the original ones. The chicken and fish were over fried and were too hard for me to even finish. I also got the onion rings which were soggy. I get that is fast food but man the food here tasted exceptionally artificial. This Californian will no longer fantasize about White Castle — sticking to my In-n-Out! Btw service here is very very very slow.

Nice, clean location. Not all White Castles are clean. They always get my order correct and cook my food properly here. Inside has a lot of tables and bathrooms. Big parking lot and nice drive thru set up that can accommodate a line of cars. Your money and food go thru a little tunnel system and you never see the person who took your order. It scares me sometimes that the cup will tip over in the tunnel with my credit card in inside but no problems so far. This is my White Castle of choice.

Been here literally 25 times or more! Thank goodness I have one relatively close to home, I wouldn’t want to go through what Harold and Kumar went through! My favs are the double cheese burgers, chocolate milkshake, sac of fries and onion rings… sometimes I’ll get the fried clams when I’m in the mood. My son loves the jalapeño burgers and my daughter will have the traditional slides. I have always bought them through the drive through, it’s fast and they take credit cards… they have this old bank style set up where you drop your money in a cup on the drivers side, and an elevator takes the cup up and across to the right where the cashier is… shortly, your food is bagged and sent back with change in the same cup!!! Genius! I remember when slides were .29 cents… I don’t care if they were $ 2.99 ! Gimme! Shoot…I’m going to get some now! It’s what I crave! LOL!

Very clean and fresh products! I was very much pleased! The sliders were fresh as well as the French fries. However the drive setup was a bit awkward as the food comes down a pipe.

I LOVE White Castles. Born and raised in Missouri, I ate them all the time… in the early morning to midnight! In NY, they actually put ketchup on them for you so that is one less step for me! This particular location always deliver fresh products, but the drive-thru can be slow at times. If you do decide to order through the drive-thru, be prepared for your food to travel through a «tube» instead of the normal window. Hey, it’s not the worst… and the food is hot and fresh. They do tie the bag up so your food is not just open while traveling to get to you. Everytime I come to LI, I WILL visit this location!

Its White Castle, its horrible for you but it hits the spot. They have a ghetto belt for drive thru(reminder that this is Commack). I believe the sitting area is open technically until 10 pm but I’ve been inside many times after 11 and midnight. If you have a good digestive system, you will shit this out the next day and if you don’t then prepare for the battle between white, red, and white castle blood cells.

I’m a fan. Cheap, greasy lil burgers. Highly Addictive. This location has been here as long as I can remember. Its just like the other locations. It’s not clean nor does it really matter. The point is these burgers are intoxicating you should eat em at least once in awhile. Don’t eat too many or you’ll be sitting on your own throne.

went there last night and got the hamburgers, service was great. we got 10 hamburgers and 10 chicken rings and fries and a drink it was around 16 dollars. the only thing i can say is that the bread on the bottom of the hamburgers was wet and i thought if they toasted them it would be better and that the bun on the bottom would not be soggy. the parking was easy to get into and out.

What can I possibly tell you about White Castle? The burgers are amazing, the onion rings are divine and for cheap fast food, this place rules. This Commack, NY location is not in a bad neighborhood(for a change) and the restaurant is very clean and efficient. You rarely wait more than 5 minutes for your order, the tabletops are always wiped clean and the floor is not messy at all. If you have any issues whatsoever, tell the manager, Fritz. He is a very friendly guy(always gives my son a free dessert or something) and he will handle any problem you might have. The drive thru is also quick and efficient, although I do not like receiving my food through some weird overhead chute. But hey, its never gotten stuck… so thats good.

We hit this place up from time to time. I’ll get a couple of whilte castles and my son will get his chicken rings. The folks behind the counter have been changing over quite a bit recently. There was a period of time where you could barely put in an order because they couldn’t speak English, then there were these kinda freaky children of the corn looking people with blank stares that made you want to run out of the store… now it looks like they got normal people there again. lol Regardless, the food is pretty consistent

I miss these so bad! Why can’t we have them in Seattle? Seriously, the frozen stuff doesn’t cut it. Back, when I lived close by or when my folks were still living on the Island and I would visit, this place hit the spot! Cheap burgers, fish and fries, and oh so tasty! Something about the grilling, the shape, those onions…

Well, what can I say. I bought 10 small square burgers when I was in Long Island two weeks ago. Four regular(69 cents each) four with cheese(84 cents each), and two double regulars($ 1.22 each). I know what your thinking, I should have had twenty. I went to the one on Rt. 110, 540 Walt Whitman Rd., Huntington Station, but I just didn’t want to set up a new address, etc on Unilocal. This location on Huntington St. has been here for at least 25 years(we also visited Walt Whitman’s home built in 1810 which is about ½ mile from here). These exquisite jewels are steam grilled on a bed of onions and can become an obsession if you know that you are within 10 miles of one. I’ve been to many on Long Island, and others elsewhere like in Indianapolis. Watching them being grilled, then put into those small cardboard boxes just for me is… Gratifying.

I must agree with the previous reviews. I too grew up on long island and there’s nothing like White Castle. People watching is half the fun, especially if you are one if the few people at three am who hasn’t been drinking. I happen to like the drive thru just because it’s different, my wife thinks its creepy. I’ll be back on the Island the end of the month and a sack from here is definitely on my wish list. I would never ever even think about buying frozen sliders because they just can’t duplicate the real thing.

TRULYLIVESUPTOTHEWHITECASTLEPLEDGE: ‘Serving the finest products, for the least cost, in the cleanest surroundings, with the most courteous personnel.’ Commack White Castle has come a long way since the«silver age(1985 – 95) «when they had two counters to serve all the late-night huntington drunks. This place is a bit more«decorated» and has an elegant interior. As franco C. points out, the Drive-thru window is a highlight; but the real experience to be had here is more available in the dining area, even in the daytime, where the burgers still come on a paper plate, pump ketchups reign, and free refills on the cokes and coffee. Fried Clam Strips. The people-watching factor here is a bonus, as all Commackers reach their high-points of eccentricity when dining here.. . from 2 curvy girls with their mother(sharing forty burgers and 4 orders of fries) to the pissed-off dude who wanted no onions bad enough to scream about it. Man Alive!, by the way, the bathrooms have never been cleaner. ***** I brag I can eat about 1 – 10 white castle burgers in a visit, depending on my cocky mood and appetitie. There is usually a new limited-time-only item on the menu every few weeks, a variation on a tried-and-true staple, which keeps things interesting. Outdoor seating. Open 24 hours.

oh baby — been through this drive in a zillion times — mostly after an alcohol fueled night. They have this cool over head drive through bucket thing — you put your money in the cup, hit the button and the whole thing goes up and over your head to the window where the murder burgers are placed back in the tray and the return trip begins. It is always a source of amazement when hammered… I believe there is a credit card swipe there too in case you are really jonesing for a burger…
