This is my favorite Chinese restaurant in town by far. Would give it 5 stars if the facility was cleaner & more updated. Also the restrooms are less then to be desired. But the food is good & the employees friendly. They are also a cash only facility, so dont show up without it.

Ordered the spicy shredded chicken, shrimp chow mein and crab rangoon. The chicken wasn’t shredded and there were more onions than anything else. Overwhelming. The chow mein didn’t have any noodles like I expected and Rangoon wasn’t very good. Had a sour taste to it and they give the smallest sweet and sour sauce portions. Then charge if you want an actual serving.

Pros: Best Chinese food in town! Fairly priced. Cons: Cash only. Prefer to carry out(not eat there) since it could use some renovation. I’m local and this is our«go to» Chinese restaurant.

My favorite Chinese take-out place in town. A Chinese friend recommended this place and mentioned that this is the closest to authentic Chinese meal I can get in Columbus. I have tried several items here and everything was really delicious. House special lo-main and moo-shu shrimp are two of favorite dishes — they spice it up for you if you request. You can also get hot sauce for free. It’s a cash only place.

My wife and I were doing laundry at the nearby laundry mat there today. We checked with Each other and asked if we were hungry, and we decided to try Yee Kee. I tried to generals chicken and my wife just bought a quart of chicken and broccoli. My wife said her chicken and broccoli was great and by entrée was not too bad. She poured her chicken and broccoli onto a plate and it overflowed. She said wow that’s quite a bit! My dinner was chicken was supposed to be spicy, and at first it didn’t taste spicy, but then it snuck up on me. Mine came with pork fried rice. It was simply delectable. Pricewise it was pretty similar to the other Chinese restaurants in the area. I do believe my wife and I will continue to come here to eat lunch. Thank you for the great food!

It doesn’t get any better than Yee Kee. We’ve tried every Chinese takeout place in Columbus and nothing comes close. Vegetarian meals are usually a let down but their tofu is cooked perfectly(NOT mushy) and the portions are pretty big. Their lo mein is fantastic! PS. They don’t accept cards but I kind of like that.

Tried this for the first time today and it is the best Chinese I’ve had! Been in town for almost 2 years now and am sad we didn’t discover it until now. We had the orange chicken and sesame chicken me both were excellent. Th portions are huge too. Can’t wait to try other items on the menu! Make sure you have cash since they don’t accept cards.

This is the kind of Chinese food you typically find outside of large cities: bad. Potstickers that are gummy little turds. Lemon chicken that was so tough it was almost inedible. Shrimp with vegetables that left a greasy pool on your plate. I live in the San Francisco Bay Area so I know what good Asian food is and this is just plain gross. My son even said the soy sauce was bad.

Food is fine — basic hole-in-the-wall takeaway Chinese. Not particularly authentic or unique, but it scratches an itch for Chimerican, when necessary. Not a fan of the very large pieces of barely cooked onion in the fried rice. I’m all for varying texture in food, but biting into nearly raw white onion in a cooked dish doesn’t exactly improve the dining experience for me. Cash or check only, as others have said. Takeaway(even when you don’t order ahead) is super quick and service is friendly and patient. Prices are fair and portions are large. Definitely easy on the wallet, but sometimes an open container is problematic if you’re driving and containers that are overfilled tip over. If I visit again, I’ll try the noodle soups.

Yee Kee is my favorite Chinese takeout restaurant in Columbus. Veggies are always crisp and fresh, and their meat is always plentiful and cooked just right. Their hot and sour soup and their egg rolls are pretty fantastic and highly recommended. For a great deal, order the dinner meal which comes with your choice of entrée, choice of rice and an egg roll for a great price. Another plus is that unlike many other takeout places in Columbus, Yee Kee is pretty health conscience as they offer brown rice and do not use any MSG. The staff is extremely accommodating and willing to customize any order to meet your preferences or dietary restrictions. Writing this review is making me crave Yee Kee. I will have to get it tonight!

While the location and interior seem a little sketchy, this place is great for take-out. The food is always fresh and delicious. Heads up, they only take cash or check so plan ahead.

General Tso’s chicken Sweet and Sour Chicken Wonton Soup Egg rolls (inserrt Glazed Chicken Dish or meat in brown/white sauce) It’s great for basic take out Chinese. I’ve seen some people enjoying large bowls of what looked a spicy noodle soup, but I don’t think it’s offered on the menu. Don’t make the mistake of ordering double cooked pork. I was expecting a boiled/braised pork belly returned to the wok for some crispiness and seasoning those woks have, but it honestly looked and tasted like poorly cooked«offal»(not the good kind). Small strips of what I hoped were pork… Overall the basics are the best in Columbus. It’s very clean and the owners are extremely nice. Cash or if your carry checks only!

Yee Kee is full of Chinese guys at lunch and almost all of them are having the«soft noodle soup», which is pretty much the Chinese take on chicken noodle soup. It’s obviously popular, so I tried it a couple of times. It’s an enormous portion of soup — too much for me — so I moved back to the regular menu. Fresh ingredients well cooked. They capture«the taste of the wok» quickly cooking the food in very hot well seasoned woks. There’s almost a caramelized flavor that’s missing from lesser Chinese cooking. My usual is Cashew Chicken — a trivial dish — chicken, cashews, celery, carrots, and a few other veggies. Something this simple has to be cooked well to impress. Yee Kee is a mom & pop carry out place with a dozen tables. The owners are attentive and they’ll remember you after two visits. Yee Kee is cash only.
