Worst golf course in Columbus without a doubt. Combine the poor quality of this 9 hole disaster with the poor service from a staff of incompetent jack donkeys and you get one unpleasant and disappointing sunday afternoon.

WIlson Road’s 9 hole course is a good starter course. The first time I played Wilson Road, I made all the newbie mistakes: 1) I rented a golf cart. At Wilson Road, most holes are so small it makes no sense to use a golf cart, especially if the group in front of you is slow. They do have«rolling caddies» to put your club bag on, which make the walk much easier. 2) I golfed with just one other friend. At Wilson Road, pairs of people golf together in groups of 4. We were paired up in a group that was much slower than we expected. This was a little awkward for us, and those waiting on our group. Next time, I’ll bring 3 other friends to golf with, so we can form our own group. 3) I forgot to bring golf balls, so I bought a «Wilson Road» golf ball. Unfortunately, many other people were using«Wilson Road» golf balls too. This got quite confusing because each hole is divided by a thin rough or tree line– so if you slice, hit the rough, and another person from the hole to the side of yours does the same, there’s some discrepancy about whose«Wilson Road» golf ball is whose. 4) I overhit. A few of Wilson Road’s hole’s are only 150 yards or so. I’m not used to teeing off with my 8 iron. This felt sort of «miniature golf» to me, but certainly posed a new type of challenge. Time-wise, it took about 2 hours to get through the 9 holes during a June afternoon. This was partially because of those in front of us, and partially because of the group we were paired with. For a quick round, I’d recommend an early morning 6−7am start.

This is a 9 hole course as part of the Columbus Recreational Services. Three par 4 holes and 6 par 3s make this relatively easy as a par 35. Its fairly well kept up, but don’t expect a quick round. This place is inexpensive so local parents drop their kids off. When school is out expect long rounds. There are a lot of senior leagues here as well and they are very slow to follow. You can get a quick 9 in before work in the morning, but on weekends or after work, expect a long wait at the first tee. UPDATEDTOREFLECTNEWMORENORMALCREDITCARDPOLICY
