5 stars for a Waffle House, really? If you take for granted this iconic company that has been around for generations feeding the masses with wholesome, fresh and inexpensive breakfast(and, lunch and steaks) then I’ve overused my 5 star rating. However, if you sit there as I did and take in the following while enjoying breakfast: — the warm, friendly and local service, — fresh eggs, crispy bacon, choice of toast, waffles that are fantastic(pecan is my personal favorite), hash browns and continuous pour coffee for about $ 7.00(try that in a diner in NY) — the charm of Waffle House with its counter service and tables that straddle the counter to enable quick easy service Yes, 5 stars for this location and the chain in general as why should 5 stars be awarded to only upscale Michelin star restaurants. Thankfully there are no Waffle House locations drivable from my home in NY because my weight would probably double!

Went yesterday got out my car to get a to — go order — there was a awful smell that turnt my stomach and everybody exciting Waffle House was running to they car holding their nose. I pay for my order and there is syrup all over bag– like I know you see that??? Well when I left the smell was worse — so I didn’t eat at all wasted my 19.08 $

Anybody that gives more than a 1 star has to be fake profiles. This place is so filthy, the kitchen is mess with. The men’s room had vomit in the sink and was clogged. The quality of the food that I had was so nasty I could not finish it. Ham and cheese omelet that came with no ham. No way was the cheese real. I think it came out a can and was so over processed it was like yellow/orange melted putty. No way did any part of it come from a cow. The egg part seamed like it was pre-made, warmed up and then stuffed with the putty.

Traveling with Brie, sis and her kids to Denver. We are in Ohio for a 5 hours layover. Decided to find a place to eat. Went to try Waffle House. Staff: we were greeted with smiley faces and very welcoming. Ticara and Love were very attentive and helpful. Food: sis ordered pecan chicken salad and the portion is big. Brie ordered chocolate waffle and she said it was delicious. I ordered the Texas chicken melt and it was very tasty. The three adults drank the Alice teamonade. It’s pretty delicious Price: reasonable Cleanliness: floor needs to be swept and mopped but I can imagine traffic in this place is pretty busy. All in all I recommend this place for a quick brunch.

My hotel restaurant closed at 10:30 and re-opened at 5, didn’t want to take a can anywhere and this Waffle House was right down the street. I was really hungry, had been up since 2am to work and it was around 11:30. It was busy when I went in only had 4 chairs open & the seats next to me filled up as soon as I sat down. When I walked in everyone said hello. Coffee was great! I took forever to order because everything looked good and had so many variations. I decided on the grilled chicken sandwich w one slice of cheese and added jalapeños. It was simple, white bread, grilled chicken, cheese and jalapeño. It was SO good. Not too big, got a side of hash-browns to go w it and left happy! Waffles, biscuits and gravy egg biscuit sandwich all looked amazing. The chili seemed like it would be good too. Everyone was super friendly and by the time I left the restaurant wasn’t as busy. If you want a good simple meal and or breakfast all day, this is a great option. Don’t stay too long though, you’ll smell like grease forever! Lol

The Waffle House is a nice place to eat at during breakfast if you’re in a rush. I was out of there in about twenty minutes — when I visited they got right to it. Unfortunately, hence their name, they won’t make exceptions to deliver pancakes. Normally, I don’t like waffles, but I actually enjoyed the taste, so waffle-lovers will for sure be satisfied. From recent reviews, they aren’t the cleanest but not to a major consent where it becomes a large concern. Either way, if you need a quick, tasty breakfast, Waffle House is the place to go.

For those who give any Waffle House less than 4 stars you don’t understand this American institution. Cleanliness should not be a concern. The waffles are fantastic and this is one of the few places that serves grits in the north. Overall the food is fantastic and what u want for a solid breakfast. It’s no frills. If u want fancy go to the four seasons.

Meh, it’s Waffle House. It was close to the hotel. And the waitresses were quite friendly.

We went here for breakfast on a Saturday morning. We were seated quickly. That is about all the good I can say about this place. It is small and the blinds were not opened giving it the appearance of not being open for business. The service was quick. I ordered the egg and cheese on a biscuit and it was good although I would have liked the cheese melted and not just a regular piece of cheese hoping the egg would melt it. The orange juice was warm as if it had been left sitting out and not refrigerated. My husband ordered the pecan pancake and has browns. The pecan pancake was part burned although he said they were very good. The hash browns were not completely cooked. While we were having breakfast a worker came out from the back with meats on a card. One of the hamburgers fell off onto the floor. She picked it up and put it back on the other food and went about her business. I would NOT recommend this place. If I could give this less than one star I would. The health department should be inspecting this place.

The restaurant was dirty many tables not cleared. I ordered pecan waffle regular but was handed well done crunchy waffles. Staff was very unprofessional, they argued and cursed a each other in front of guest. I wont be coming back here no more.

Bad Day at the WH. Arrived at 10am, so it wasn’t busy at all. The restaurant was filthy and many tables not cleared. Wife placed her order; I ordered a waffle well done. She got hers fine, I never got my waffle. Seems they weren’t looking, and burned it; twice. We left. No waffle for me at the WH. Can you imagine that?! Six people on the staff, but service was still awful.

If you love laid back greasy dives, then you will not be disappointed. This place serves all the classics. Eggs, waffles, biscuits and waffles. and they have top worthy steaks and chops for the budget diner. great burgers, and you can’t do wrong with the hash browns. my fav is scattered smothered covered. Thats diner talk for spread on the grill, smothered with melted cheese and covered in grilled onions. woo Hoo!

I love Wa-Ho. I just love waffles. Or, Waffles. I think maybe Waffles should always be capitalized. They have earned that respect. I mean, as a Wa-Ho goes, this one is alright. It’s slightly clean and the people are definitely friendly. You’ll get the expected quick service and high calorie counts here, and they do make a delicious Waffle. Their breakfast sandwiches are also pretty good. The bacon could be better, it’s pretty floppy and I like mine crisp. Hash browns are a staple and can be ordered a multitude of different ways(chopped, smothered, covered, capped, please)

Small-ish, fun-ish, greasy-ish, good(–ish?) You know what you are going to get at a Waffle House, and you can always count on a value priced meal and a few extra calories. This particular night when visiting Columbus, I hopped aboard and down the greasy lane of a t-bone steak & eggs, hash browns, and 2 pancakes. That was a days worth of fat & calories in one sitting. Yikes! It was good, not great. With the jukebox playing songs from the 80’s, a fun waitress who was singing along… made it a nice and fun time.

Ok so this ain’t no 5 star restaurant. Don’t expect your water from a bottle service here… What you can expect though is: Friendly Waitresses who will bring you extra maple syrup for those delicious waffles! Waflles so fresh and delicious that you can ignore the dirty chairs and less than attractive décor. You can get a whole 8 person meal for less than 70beans…
