This was some of the best Italian food I’ve had in a while. I had the chicken marsala and my husband had shrimp Feticini which he said was very good. We ordered a glass of the house red wine($ 6) expecting it to be average as they usually are. What a surprise! It tasted like other higher priced, better quality wines that I have had. You can also buy a bottle to take home and this was $ 15. Well worth it. I’ve read some other reviews that said the owner/waiter was rude. Well, he wasn’t to us. When I told him how good we thought the food and wine were, he chatted with us about it and offered to get the chef so that we could tell him ourselves how good the food was. Both of them were very pleased that we liked the food. I heard him talk to a customer about coupons on the phone and I heard him politely say«I’m sorry, that is for dine-in only». I’m sorry that others have had bad experiences but ours was quite the opposite. Now for the downside: It was very warm in there. It didn’t feel like they had air conditioning at all. My husband was very uncomfortable. I would suggest not going if it’s very hot out. If it weren’t for the temperature, I would have given this place 4 stars.

VERYRUDEANDARROGANT! I just called in to ask about the gift certificates to make sure they are still valid(I’ve heard that sometimes restaurants np longer take them and wanted to be sure). He proceeds to talk to me, not only like a child, but a stupid one at that. He spoke to me in the most condescending tone possible. «Well, coupon is it?» «it’s a restaurant.com» «and…what does it say?» «well, the one I’m looking at says it’s a $ 25 gift certificate for any order of $ 50 or more, is it still good?» «and what does the last part say?» «I’m sorry? do you mean the part about dine in only?» ” there you go, now you got it!“ idk where he learned his customer service skills, but speaking to people like that will tank his business quickly. we were going to easily spend that $ 50 he was so worried about, and then some. I got off the phone and said, «no freaking way, we will never go there» I will give my money to someone who has a little respect for their patrons.

The owner was friendly and I enjoyed the nice welcome. I found my meal to be very average however. The price of my meal was reasonable which was reflected in the quality. If it had been higher quality, it would have been reflected in the cost.

Rude service. We were the only ones there but were never checked on. We had to get our own plates and silverware and were not offered drink refills. The ravioli was good, but not worth the 35 minute wait with kids. Honestly, I’m not sure how this restaurant stays open.

Just completed our first visit. What an odd experience. Walked in the front door after driving by here many times and at first was supposed at how small the dining area was. Maybe only a dozen tabla at most. Looks much bigger from the outside. Someone came out and greeted us reasonably soon after we walked in the door. There was no one else eating there when we walked in the door. Waiter was not rude but also not overly friendly. Was also a little strange to see an Italian restaurant ran by Indians. Not that it matters to me just odd. I ordered lasagne and my wife ordered some sort of a pizza that appeared to have tomatoes and spinach as the two toppings. Lasagne was ok. Nothing good nothing bad but ok. Garlic bread seemed to be one slice of Texas toast that was cut into eight small pieces. A nice plus if you happen to be counting carbs. My wife did not care for the pizza. I also tried it and did not even finish one piece. Didn’t taste bad but rather had little taste at all. I’m not going to assume this is representative of all their pizza as my wife likely ordered a pizza that most no one would like even at its best. Dining room seemed to be reasonably clean. It was extremely hot in the dining room as it appears they were saving money by not running the hvac. For the price ok. On the whole we will likely not be back as there are other options in this price range that are much better.

It’s about as authentic of an east coast pizza place as you’ll find in these parts. Good real pizza at a great price.

I was driving through and love to support local establishments. We ordered a Stromboli and fettuccini Alfredo, two classics. Very happy with our dinner here. Service was spot on and fast. Food was delicious. Love the hometown feel.

Very similar experience as described by Roger R on 9÷17÷15. Arrived around 7:30 on a Tuesday evening; only 1 other customer in the restaurant. The server just tossed the menus across the table. No smile or welcome. Matter of fact, he threw everything on the table throughout the entire visit… menus, pile of wadded up linen napkins for us to sift through, plates of food, etc. Then he proceeds to ignore us for quite some time although we were clearly ready to order. It was clear he did not want to be there or have anything to do with us. Our group of 4 was very frustrated by the entire experience. The food was very good but the service was TERRIBLE! Now as I right a review on this site and the restaurant’s website, I find many other customers who had the exact same negative experience with the server. We will not be going back.

Arrived 815 on a Thursday evening; we were the only ones there. Server just tossed the menus across the table. No smile or welcome. Ordered the veal parmesan, and was told matter-of-factly by server they had no veal this night. Went with Plan B and got the lasagna. A rather small portion, and it was cold on the inside. Asked to have it reheated, and never saw it again. Wife had the«famous» chicken piccata, and was unimpressed. Salad did not come with the meal, had to order separately. Server was inattentive/rude, not at all personable, and perhaps didn’t understand English too well. The only saving grace was that I had a Prestige card. We won’t be back.

Took family last week. Lasagna ok, ravioli ok, chicken marsala and chicken picata like lean cuisine meals. Chicken in both was freezer burned! I was confused, is this a 1970’s pizza parlor with frozen dinners available or an Italian restaurant. Signs taped up everywhere and drinks served in paper cups!

This has to be the joke of the week !!! I have never had worst food than this in my life. I ordered chicken Alfredo, discussing !!! Indian guy serving Italian food that has no business been near it, not because he is Indian but has nothing to do with Italian.

I placed an order for take out through grub hub during normal business hours, then I drove over there to pick up my food only to find a sign on the door saying they’re out and they’d be back later. I was incredibly annoyed that I wasted a trip and it’s gonna take 3 or 4 days to get my money back.

This is quite simply the best Italian I’ve had in Ohio. We had the original stromboli and the proscuitto-portabella ravioli and both were amazing. The stromboli was so good we ordered a veggie one to go and ate it with dinner that night. Everything tasted fresh and was made to order. I can’t wait to try their hot subs and their pizza!

Not sure why there are any bad reviews on this place. I was just in the area to bid a job and stumbled upon it. The food was incredible. The owner/chef was very friendly and prompt. He was passionate about his food and his business. The sauce was very hearty, and zesty. The meatballs were full of flavor and tender. The pizza was like it was straight from a New York pizzaria. I will definitely stop and eat thete again while back in the area. Awesome experience… Highly recommended…

First time here, we had a gift certificate to try them out. Made it there for dinner so we didn’t try out the pizza buffet. Very small, maybe 6 booths and 5 two seat tables. Not crowded at all, calm atmosphere. Everyone else in the restaurant had already been served. Even so, it took about 10 or so minutes to get a menu. The waiter didn’t even ask if we wanted drinks or anything up front. In the mean time one person comes in for a pick up order. He is with him for a few then at least another 20 minutes before coming back just to ask for our drink order. Then in the midst of the drink order(everyone was just ordering fountain drinks) he says«get your own drinks over there» and points at the fountain drink machine as he swiftly turns around and disappears into the kitchen. He isn’t gone too long this time(we had been ready to order since before the drink order) and he takes our order. Two of them ordered an appetizer but wanted them with the meal, they came out(after 15 minutes) first even after letting him know they were supposed to be with the meal. Then it took yet another 25 – 30 minutes for the food to come out. Server was slow and rude. Okay, for the food. –The bread sticks were small twists of bread, they seemed to have forgotten to season them or they are just plain twists of white bread. It was a good sized serving. –The cheese sticks were NOT cheese sticks, it was just cheese melted on toasted bread. I’d say this was more like«cheesy bread» instead of a cheese stick. Maybe they got the order wrong? None of us like to complain. –The Greek salad was swimming in it’s dressing. Ruined it. –Calamari rings were just gross. Thick cut, dripping with grease. NO. –There was a small cheese pizza, good sized 10″ pizza. Soft crust but not soggy at all, good seasoning. The pizza got an A. –One calzone was soggy on the bottom and crisp on top like it had frozen food in it. When she bit into it water squirted out. She really didn’t like it at all, didn’t eat half. –Another calzone didn’t seem soggy or crisp, just kind of cold, bland and pretty tasteless. Also dripping a bit of what seemed to be water out of it. (The sauces were very thin watery marinara sauce, didn’t really even taste it unless you tried to scoop the bit of fiber from the bottom of the container) –Chicken parmesan looked like pre packaged chicken with a couple slices of cheese melted on top. The chicken was actually delicious, even though it had what looked like marinara water seeping out of it all over. The spaghetti with the chicken was thin and actually pretty tasty. The sauce on the spaghetti was much thicker than the marinara on anything else. Didn’t look great but it tasted pretty good. I gave them the extra star because some of the food was good. I wouldn’t really recommend it to anyone unless you’re just ordering a pizza of your own.

Interesting pizza place. The owner was incredibly nice, but I don’t think he knew what we doing. It’s an italian restaurant run by an Indian guy. The pizza was reasonably priced. Their large pizza was only $ 12 and it was an XL from most places. The crust style was like NY in the sense that it’s pretty thin and looked like it was meant to fold over; however, instead of being cut into 6 pieces like other NY pizzas it was cut into 8. The pizzas was pretty good, but there was garlic on the crust and hardly any cheese. Just a few tips: Don’t go in for the buffet. I know it says they have a buffet there was no food out for people to eat. Also, don’t try to pay with American Express if you go. The owner looked like he was about to have a panic attack when I told him I only had an AMEX card but luckily I had some loose change in my car to cover it so it was no problem.

Verdi is a nice local Italian restaurant close to our home. It’s never crowded and the staff are very attentive. You can really customize your order to eat there or for take home dinners. Here are the grandparents visiting with our kids at Verdi.

I’ve been here for the lunch buffet a few times. The first time I wasn’t too enthralled, but after having it a few more times I really crave it. Very good sauce which is both on the pizza and the pasta, stromboli is also very good. Small mom & pop shop, and some unique pizza that isn’t traditional from what you get at a chain. The food has grown on me, the pizza reminds me of what I have had in other real italian style restaurants. Good salad bar options as well.
