U-Haul Moving & Storage At East Main St

The folks at this U-​Haul are super nice, but they just don’t have their shtuff together. In their defense, I think they want to be great, but corporate is dragging them down.
I inherited an insanely-​overpriced storage unit across town in Grandview, and it was the bane of my existence (seriously, I70 can go to hell). I finally decided to move all my Unilocal schwag closer to me in Bexley, and U-​Haul seemed like the perfect fit. They were closer, cheaper, ²⁴⁄₇ access, and climate-​controlled.
I called 6 weeks in advance to schedule a moving truck and reserve my first level, climate-​controlled storage unit. On moving day, my reservation was nowhere to be found. When I showed them my reservation email, everybody was dumbfounded. They finally «found» me an empty unit, but it wasn’t climate-​controlled. Call me a wimp, but I hate loading and unloading boxes of Unilocal schwag in extreme temperatures.
Fast forward to today, when I make my umpteenth trip to my storage unit… in the heat. Why, yes, I would like to be a hot sweaty mess when I arrive at my event… said no CM ever.
This isn’t a «fancy’ storage unit. The latch on my door is mostly broken, and I have to jiggle it *just* right to get it open. There’s also a rat trap inside. Thanks… I think? But the people here are really friendly and helpful. That counts for something, right?

Don’t let the area fool you, this Uhaul store is great! Great customer service, very friendly environment. The two most stressful events are divorces and moving, this Uhaul made my move stress free. The 10′ box truck that rented was actually pretty good on gas I moved for 5 hours and my whole uhaul cost ended up right at the estimated $ 102 amount and that was with the extras I purchased.

This location provides propane, which is why I am a customer. It is usually busy and they are usually understaffed. They have remote pay with their handheld, so you don’t have to go back to the office to cash out.
