Sigh. This store. Maybe it is just that I am spoiled to Lowes but I am just not loving this store. The plant selection always feels subpar, it is hard to find an employee to help when you need one, and it seems like if there is something specific I need, it will be the ONE thing that will be out of stock. The good news is their selection of appliances is great and they price matched a price I found on Amazon which saved me quite a bit of money. When you do find someone to help you, they are very helpful! Maybe I just need to let this place grow on me.

Really great service. Power to the ladies ;D I recently found a vanity for my bathroom at the Home Depot in Canal, a few days ago. I just so happened to be on the west side of town, so figured I’d go to this Depot and purchase that sucker. From the start, we were greeted by a lady. We first headed to the paint section — it’s super-awesome close to the front doors. The lady took our sample. She was so polite! While waiting, we decided next to get the vanity and faucet. We found a lady stocking in the aisle over, and she came right away. Man, she new her stuff. Had us clear out of the aisle, got the heavy box down and on a flat cart in no time. Directed us to the faucets so we could get one to match. Headed to the registers. Had to wait a few minutes because there were only two lines open. Rolled up to the register, and this lady was also fantastic! Friendly and personable. Fast. Efficient. Radioed a young man to load the giant box. Her met us out friend. Kind gentleman! What a successful day ;p

This store is terrible!!! None of the employees no where anything is at if you need help finding something. Other Home Depots I have been too are better but no where near as good as Lowes. I went here to have a new bolt lock rekeyed and the guy only keyed the one side(double sided bolt lock). Then i went to have a key made and it took 6 people to figure it out and the employee said that my key was cursed. OooooK Its not the employees fault, its the management and corporate because they hire anyone and don’t train them.

This location is God Awful and that’s putting it lightly. I love at the end of the night they have the closing roll calls, but when it comes to the«Please assist any customers with their purchases or questions» part. they seem to just figure standing around at the service desk and grumbling about people still shopping is a more effective route and solution. The only service we had here that was pretty impeccable, was back in appliances when we had to order a new gas range and needed installation. Lowes fails on their installation charges, and HD can’t be beat. The girl who helped us was extremely friendly and got us in and out fairly quickly. However, the rest can not be said for the employees of this store. Many associates walked by without asking if we needed help. Many of them when we asked for locations just decided that it’d be best that they point their finger in the direction of said item instead of walking us to it.(Like their Customer Service training manuals tell them, too.) The cashiers were very complain-ey and yawn-ey. When we asked for assistance in the saw area to get some wood cut. we were blatantly ignored by the customer service desk. They just totally don’t care here. I’m advising the same as other Unilocalers… go to Lowe’s. Take the extra 5 minutes and drive down 270, because this place doesn’t want, and frankly, isn’t deserving of your business. Oh and by the way, the range that was installed and purchased from here? It doesn’t even work. It has to be swapped out. So perhaps I should have just saved my time and the extra aspirin I had to take for my stress headaches and just went to Lowe’s in the first place. CRAP, I say! CRAP!!!

If anyone at Home Depot advises you to use Sevin dust in your home(against what it says on the package), leave the store immediately. You cannot trust those people. This happened to us and we had to throw away many things(couch/recliner and many other things). Now it seems we will have to replace our carpet. The real bad part: Home Depot takes no responsibility.

First off, let me state that I don’t actually live in Columbus. I live is Los Angeles. But I recently made a trip to Columbus to visit my father for about a week. My dad doesn’t keep up with his house and there was a lot of cleaning & repairs that needed to be made. Fortunately, this Home Depot was right across the street from the hotel I was staying. I’m a big«fix-it-myself» kinda guy so I visit Home Depots all the time. But this Home Depot was probably the best in terms of selection and customer service. While I was shopping for a new toilet, I must’ve been approached by at least half a dozen people, asking if I needed any help. And they genuinely seem like the want to help you. This is not the case with the Home Depot near my house. You often have to flag down an employee and hope to God they have some knowledge of what you’re looking for. My dad’s house is pretty old and it seemed like a lot of things were not standard(pipes with different valve/nozzles, etc). I ended up having to make several trips back & forth to Home Depot to get the toilet installed and have everything fixed. The friendly & knowledgeable staff made the constant trips a lot easier. It’ll probably be years before I see this location again, but I’ll be wishing I was there the next time I’m lost at my local Home Depot and I’m trying to chase down an employee for help.

I’ve been here many times since moving into our new house in this area. I usually have no problem finding someone to help with my many questions. The last time I was here, just a few days ago, I was buying PVC tubing and the guy helping me stuck around for over 30 minutes while we debated size/type. They do cut things for you here, but I felt he really went out of his way to do ALL the cutting we needed for our project. I was so pleased with his help! It’s not the first time either, in December I went with my fiancé to pickup some things and ran into an older man working there who gave us all kinds of information and tips on the in’s and out’s of our fireplace! Yay for Home Depot!
