This place is like a smaller Waterbeds and Stuff except instead of stuff they have things, and instead of waterbeds they have guitars. It is actually a combo shot of a music store, record store, and headshop. I’ve seen it for awhile on High Street across from the Kroger’s there south of tOSU. With time to blow and Christmas on my mind, I stopped in at least to get a whiff of the tyedyed, incense, rock-poster counter-culture that is dying out in the university district. It filled the void. The cozy space is filled with records, clothing, accessories, and sinful fun. The northern wall has a heavy selection of electric and acoustic guitars of various designs. They sell various brands of strings for catgut pluckers out there. There are tye-dyed tees, posters, hookahs, and toys for woman. I didn’t comb through the vinyl long, but I did see a few classic presses. They have a few pieces of tabletop décor, the usual counterculture items: Buddha, ect. The place is watched carefully by two guard animals. A long, healthy laguna, perching in a case, and a saggy faced bulldog ready to leap at one sniff of a shoplifter. I actually thought it was a garden gnome before it wrinkled its nose. Kinda made me jump. Good looking dog, though they always look to be grumpy. This is a nice shop for those neo-hippies out there, or for anyone else that just like to be around it for a change.
