It’s my second semester at CSCC and I still have to have someone walk me to the books I need as if I can’t get them for myself. I like to find the books I need for my class but since the staff are there they have to be the ones to get the books for you. Some are nice and will find the used books for you to save money others will just go for that full price new book to make you spend more than you want on your textbooks. I don’t like that the bookstore only accepts, Visa and Mastercard because I like using American Express. If you want to write a check you must provide two phone numbers, a drivers license number and a school ID number which basically takes up your entire check if you write all that out. Tip if you want to get your books on time come earlier before the semester starts, if you insist this bookstore is the only place you can find those textbooks and not online. Although if your smart you can find the textbooks cheaper on Amazon or in my case a medical website that sells the books for cheaper than the school bookstore’s price. Just as other Unilocaler’s said, only CSCC carries their items like sweats, sweatshirts, and school spirit stuff at their bookstore. So if you support CSCC come here to buy their school items.

I went to pick up books at 10 am two days after the semester started and even though the line was moderately long, I got through swiftly due to an abundance of cashiers. Mine was even friendly and chatty. I found it funny that sweats are«financial aid eligible». The sign on the rack says so.

For all things Columbus State … located on the west side of Columbus State’s downtown campus. Has all things you would need for your classes. Have to say though … the textbooks(new) are not as competitively priced as you would find with Internet based dealers. Shop around. They also sell the student /teacher versions of many software products needed for classes at significant discounts. But, if you are feeling the school spirit, you are not likely to find CSCC specific items other than here.

Avoid at all cost! This«bookstore» tends to not have or run out of the most popular text books. If by chance you are lucky enough to find your text book there you will more than likely file bankruptcy due to the ridiculously high pricing.
and other type of sites are by far a better choice and price

I remember Columbus State’s old bookstore when it was in the basement of Delaware Hall. This is a HUGE improvement. Even then, it’s so insanely busy when it’s time to buy books and sell old ones back. Protip: Only go to the bookstore if you absolutely CANNOT find your textbooks online at , and do your absolute best to buy your books used. You’ll save money that way. Unless your class calls for a kit(kits for some classes are sold in the bookstore), buy your supplies at Walmart or Target. I cannot stress this enough. I’ve sold a lot of my textbooks back to the DX and I’ve gotten a LOT of money back. By comparison, at SBX when I was at Ohio State, I got pennies back. Their prices for software, like PhotoShop, MS Office, and Windows 7, aren’t too bad either.

Prices are great on books here and clothes are OK too. They have big sales from time to time. I don’t go there to eat lunch, but picking up snacks are very convenient. Staff are friendly. The last time I was in this store I was picking out a greeting card. Since this stand has two sides I was looking for the perfect card from their small selection. I like to take my time. Then after a while I noticed a worker hovering over me,(trying not to act as if they were watching me.) as if I was planning on stealing something?!? I would have preferred if they asked if I needed help. I know there have been a lot of theft at that store, but it was just a little unnerving for a regular monthly customer.
