Probably the best Gyro I’ve ever eaten in my entire life. Would recommend it 1000 times to 1000 people

It was a decent gyro at a decent price. Probably the closest decent gyro to my house, it was pretty good but I’m not over the moon about it. The meat was a bit crunchy which I like but others might not be fond of. The tzatziki was thick and tasty, all the veggies were fresh. I’ll be back for more, its convenient and tasty.

This is my first review ever. And what I got to to say this place is amazing way better than other places where I have tried lamb gyros.

This is the first food truck that I have reviewed and I am ecstatic that Taste of Greece is the one that I get to review. This is truly a diamond among the thousands of Central Columbus based Mediterranean food establishments. The owner, Dimitri is a kind man that grew up in the tradition of gyro making in his home country — Greece. Food: In this area, Taste of Greece sets itself apart from the pack. In the majority of Columbus based Mediterranean places, one either pays $ 7 for a mediocre gyro on stale pita, or one pays $ 12 and gets a pretty decent gyro. ToG is the exceptional middle ground. The lamb-beef combination that is used is tender and moist, and his pita is always fresh. The owner makes the tzatziki sauce himself each day and is not afraid to give you a great portion. ToG also has baklava that is to die for. The best baklava I have had outside of Greece. Price: ToG has better prices than any greek restaurants around. Ultimately, it is not a difficult decision to say that this place is five star worthy. I have nothing negative to say about this place!

My son loves eating here and asks for it often! He’s a super picky eater so that’s really saying something about the food!!! Service is great and the owner is always very pleasant and kind!!!

I was starving and happened to run into this place. I seen a sign«Best Gyros in Town» And I love Gyros. I ordered 2 @ $ 5.50 each and it was way more than I could eat. I have to say it was as good if not better than any Gyro I have had.

Passed this place many times and never gave it much thought, read the reviews and decided to give it a try, SO glad I did, me and my friend each got a lamb gyro, absolutely delicious! I pretty much always have to ask for extra tzatziki when I order a gyro and I’m SO glad I did, I asked for extra on it and extra on the side… there was none left when I was done eating because this places is literally the best I’ve ever had, tangy with chunks of FRESH cucumber! Also ordered the frappé(Greek iced coffee)… it was kinda weird, not bad… much better when I added whole milk(would have added half and half if I had it) and more sugar. Annnd, we each got a piece of baklava, also delicious! So all around this place was great, and just like everyone says, the guy is extremely nice. Will most definitely be returning!

I wobbled over four and five stars but I couldn’t see a single reason to take a star away because the food is good, fresh, hot, fast, reasonably priced, and takes cards. I love that slightly crispy gyro meat piled high on a soft flatbread with creamy tzattziki… mmmmmm. Seriously, I’ve been wanting to try this place for a while and I’m so glad I did, I will definitely be back.

This food truck man has saved my ass for many reasons. I live close by and often it has been a convenient stop over on a long day when dinner making seems a far fetched idea, or the night when I made dinner and it turned out to be inedible.(I promise you I don’t have cooking experiences like that often.) I really like the man from Greece because he reminds me of Steve Carell which always makes me smile. I wish I remembered his name… but he definitely has a consistency to his product which is important. Another great thing about the experience is that I can go to his window and order, and then go get buzzed on beer samples at Savor Growl and grab a 614. Parking bike or car is not a problem, and the food is delish! I think it would be awesome if he had a few tables during summer time to sit and eat there. Taste of Greece is definitely on my emergency contact list: D

Really good gyros. They are simple, clean(not greasy), and extremely flavorful. The tzatziki is GREAT and made with yogurt, not ranch like some places(ew.)

Me and my Wife literally said a hundred times in passing Taste of Greece, «We should try that place sometime». So finally one day we did so and have been doing so ever since. One of the first things I asked him was, how do you pronounce«Gyro»? His response«There is only one way» as he stated his pronunciation. I liked him from that moment on. Hardcore and sticking to his guns. I have had a lot of gyros in my life, and this is by far the best. The meat taste and texture is well beyond excellent. The portions and pricing are unbeatable. Plus, just his accent alone is worth the visit. :) I hope to see Taste of Greece there on the corner for the next 20 years God willing.

This is one of my favorite food trucks. Tucked away in South Clintonville, it really does serve the best gyro in Columbus. I recommend the large lamb gyro.

ITS A FOODTRUCKPEOPLE. I have eaten here several times and have recommended it to several people. Is it the«best gyro in town», as it claims? I don’t know, and I don’t care. I DO know it is very good! Every thing we have ordered has been very good. My favorite is the lamb gyro salad. It has LOTS of shaved lamb. The salad has FRESH, lettuce, FETA, cucumbers and tomatoes. Also, included are mild peppers and olives and small stuffed grape leaves. The vinaigrette is already on there; a little too much for my taste. I have to admit, I am not sure what is in the grape leaves. I do think there is rice and something else? Usually, it comes with pita bread, but it looks like he forgot to put it in my take a way this last time. Not a big deal, as the bread is just plain. If anything, I wish the pita was better. Guess you can’t have everything. Usually you can find the truck open at the Weber and Indianaola spot. The hours of operation may have changed closing earlier, around 8 o’clock. Double check to make sure. As others have mentioned, the guy working the truck is VERY nice. :) Oh yea, did I mention that the PRICEISRIGHT!!! $

Best gyro in town? I don’t think so Went with a friend on a food adventure and Taste of Greece was chosen. It was easy to find right in the parking lot at Weber and Indianola. Noticed there was a sign that said«best gyros in town» so I always want to see if such a bold claim is true. Ordered the large gyro, to my dismay there were no beverages. Did not take long to be served and the owner was a nice gentleman. Unfortunately the gyro was not the best in town. It was alright, had nice flavor. The lamb was a little greasy and I could have used more sauce. Other than that a good gyro. Just not the best in town

Nothing bland about this gyro. Best Gyro I’ve had in a loooong time. Trust me, I try a lot of gyro. I’ve been to this truck three days in a row now, and I’ve gotten the large lamb gyro(5 $) every time now. I get a side of feta too, its soo good. My boyfriend tried a phillysteak gyro, he loved it. Every ingredient is just so great and fresh, I love the roasting lamb on a spit! The owner is very nice and said something about maybe opening a restaurant(I would be sooo happy!) Definitely give this place a try, its cheap and delicious!
