I really like tab pro because they make every minute count-literally. U pay for minutes and get to pick how many u want so you never have to worry about wasting money or time. I was really happy today BC last time I came my bed started a few minutes earlier than I would have liked and I lost a couple minutes but told the management And he gladly refunded. Also they’re doing this new thing called free tab weekends where it’s free as Long as u have some minutes on your account. Also note that they have sales with every holiday so only buy locations and minutes then.

First I’ll start out by stating that I don’t really tan. If you’ve looked at my picture you will see that I’m a redhead, and I have the fair skin that goes along with it. Lucky me. Actually, I rather like my hair and my skin, because my skin does have the potential to tan. Not very much, but I can get pretty dark for someone so naturally pale. I usually don’t burn very easily either, with the exception of that first day out in the sun of the summertime. That first day is too much for my skin after a winter of skin hibernation in darkness under layers of clothes. Which brings me to my first trip to a tanning salon ever. I was going on a trip to the south, and it wasn’t quite warm enough here in Ohio to catch some rays naturally, so I decided to prep my skin for what it was about to endure with a trip to a tanning booth. My friend, who tanned from time to time, told me about a special going on at Tan Pro. It sounded really hard to beat. It was just an introductory offer, so I know it got more expensive after you finished your trips included in the offer, but I have no idea how much. Anyway, it was $ 6, and you got like 30 minutes or something like that. You could choose which tanning bed you wanted to spend time in. I didn’t realize that there were different beds for different strengths of UV rays! And you could also decide how many minutes you wanted to spend for each visit and for whatever bed you choose. This Tan Pro was pretty close to home — I lived north of campus at the time of my first visit, and it was just north of Dodridge on High St. It didn’t look like the nicest place from the outside, but on the inside it was fine. The outside of the building says«Tan Pro» in big yellow letters. It’s hard to miss. They had a parking lot on the north end of the building. That first day, I went with my friend. We walked in and I guess it wasn’t quite what I expected, seeing a tanning salon for the first time. There was a front desk and then hallways that led towards the back of the building with doors all the way down. These turned out to be the individual tanning rooms. We had to wait in a little line, but it moved quickly and soon I was up at the counter. OK, here was what was so weird to me about this place. All the people working here were really tan guys! And every single customer that I saw was female. For some reason I thought that women would be working here, at least a few. But it looked like guys ran the place which made me feel a little apprehensive. But they were all quite tan, so they obviously took advantage of the work benefits. I won’t get into the fact that I think it’s weird when guys go tanning a lot(it doesn’t seem masculine to me!) but it’s like these guys were trying to be beautiful people. I wondered if they had these jobs to pick up fine tan women. Anyway, when I got up to the counter I had to register with them. I also didn’t realize that I had to be put in their system and they had to check my ID to make sure that I was over 18. This is the kind of stuff that makes me nervous about tanning. I know that it’s really not good for your skin, since if you do it a lot you’re at a higher risk for skin cancer(which redheads are already higher risk anyway) and your skin will age prematurely from the exposure to UV rays. Tanning just isn’t my thing. I love being out being in the sun in the summer, but I also love sitting out and putting sunscreen on all day. I learned that you couldn’t use sunscreen in the tanning beds. I guess you can buy these tanning lotions, which turned out to be quite expensive and didn’t have any SPF like sunscreen. Maybe I was missing some info, but the employees didn’t exactly explain it to me very well. The guy checking me in acted like I was worthless for not knowing anything about tanning. So I was going to have to brave it unprotected. I chose the least powerful tanning bed for only about 7 minutes or so. He had me sign in on a sheet and then he gave me a number to the tanning booth. I also saw those stickers at the counter — the ones you stick somewhere on yourself while you tan to compare your skin before and after. I took one, not realizing that they were like a dollar apiece! I found this out later after my tanning experience, but the guy at the counter hadn’t even noticed that I grabbed one. They’re cheap stickers, I assumed they were complimentary. Anyway, I walked down the hallway until I found my numbered room. I went in and closed the door that kind of unfolded to shut. It was a nice cozy little room — just enough room for the tanning bed and a chair for you to throw your clothes on. I undressed, put the goggles on and pressed start on the bed, it started. The timer was preset and there was a radio by my head that played annoying Top 40 hits. It turned out to be quite relaxing and warm. When I was done, I got dressed and left. That was it! It was pretty easy, and I did return a few times. But tanning just isn’t my thing. I prefer the natural sunshine!

I really have nothing to compare to, here, but they were good to me. I went tanning for a skin problem(before switching to professional-strength UV at my doctor’s office), and the people here were always pleasant and quick. The size of this location means you almost never have to wait for a bed. In addition, they have the cheapest basic tanning package I found — $ 13 a month and you can tan every day if you like(on their basic machine). I don’t know how their other rates compare, but they’re cheap and nice and clean, so good for them.
