This is by no means criticism of the food. The food is great but I would highly recommend NOT going for a brunch on a Sunday. There is only one host who is running around trying to seat people and they have an absolutely terrible system. While I am waiting for an hour, I see empty tables left unseated for over 15 min. They try to go down the list in order and write down your phone number, but realistically speaking, it is a terrible system. I have worked as a host at a restaurant and a better system is to hand out number cards to people and call out the number as you go down the list. If they are not here, you move on down the list. Not try to call them/text them/while others wait. Their food is wonderful though. I just think they could be smarter about the hosting system.

I go here every time I visit Columbus. So many great choices and such a fun atmosphere. The coffee is good. The service is great. And for how much food you are getting this place is cheap!

Super Chef’s was a successful food-adventure. We plotted it for a while, researched the menu, heard lots of reviews, and finally went for it. Everything was great! Beautiful plating, super hero themed dishes were all a hit with our party. I got the juggernaut, and was so pleased to find that it and the other meals we ordered looked just like the pics we’d seen. Staff was nice, food was speedy! We waited about 40 minutes, which was acceptable for such a tiny place at 11:30a on a Saturday. We will go again! details: candied bacon rocked! waffles could have been a bit crispier, fried chicken patty was spiced well and breading was crunchy. coffee was not good, but it’s ok– everything else was so nice I don’t even care. order a Coke instead of hot coffee. everything had a gourmet spin, something decadent. nice job folks!

So I’ve already tried the Gahanna location and new it was going to be amazing. Brought my best friend here last Sunday for her first time and she fell in love with this place and I fell in love all over again. This time I tried The Juggernaut and she had The Hulk — both were incredible, at least, she said hers was amazing… she wouldn’t let me try hers(therefore I didn’t let her try mine lol). But we were both happy with our selections. We had a Groupon, which I had purchased a while ago and tried to use at the Gahanna location not realizing it said it could only be used at the downtown location. The only time I would ever come to this location would be on a Sunday, when the parking meters are free downtown, otherwise, trying to find parking is a nightmare. Parking is the number one reason why I don’t often venture to downtown Columbus. Also, the wait time is ridiculous, it took us about 45 minutes to be seated and we were all huddled up by the door with others waiting to be seated. The noise level is incredibly loud, just like at Gahanna(which is loud, but not crazy loud like it is here). I’m a major fan of SuperChef’s but I really don’t think I’ll be back to this one unless I have family and friends visiting from out of town and we’re already in the area, otherwise I will gladly make my way up to Gahanna where there’s more [free] parking(on any day), less noise and a bigger establishment. Seriously, the one downtown is way too small… table to table!

My main problem with Super Chefs is that everything is so damn decadent. Sweet, savory, and delicious. My mouth is watering, just *thinking* about all the food I have tried(and have yet to try). I can’t recommend one thing over another, you just have to pick to one thing, commit to it, and if you think«that sounds sweet» — it will be. «That sounds savory» — it will be. The wait is the problem — this place is still so damned popular that weekends are crowded, you’ll wait to get a table, but service is fast(which means… it’s the patrons that are slowing this place down!) It’s really that good… if you’re into treating yourself. And you should be, because if you’re here, you’ve had a long week, and you have been starving yourself all week… so splurge, enjoy life, eat one of their many, many delicious… See? God, now I want to go back and get something I haven’t had yet. I won’t tell you what I have had — because they’re all worth trying.

I love this place. The menu is eclectic and the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. I love going there after church on sundays. The breakfast pizza is great, the aquaman and the juggernaut are my other must haves. The sweet and sour burger is good as well. This a definitely a jewel in the columbus area.

Really fun atmosphere. Delicious food. Decent service. They aren’t horrible, but service isn’t amazing either either. Just middle of the road. Definitely a «must try» in Columbus for breakfast!

My boyfriend and I went for the first time last weekend. He had the wings and waffles with eggs. I had the shrimp and grits with candied bacon. I loved how they let me try the grits before I ordered to make sure I liked them because they are made a little differently. They were heavenly. We left NOTHING on our plates. And the service was great. We got there around 12:30, was able to sit right down and was serviced the entire time. We’ll be back-more than once. Definitely check it out if you ever get a chance.

Four stars because they have made the first Grits I have ever liked in my life. EVER… I say this being a New Orleans native, people have grits coming out their ears back home… The Shrimp N Grits were absolutely phenomenal. And the shrimp were extremely flavorful with the right amount of spice. I had the candied bacon and although it’s really good, I don’t think it’s a life-changer as some believe it is. The waffles here for traditional American waffles are also excellent.

I adore everything about Superchefs, the ambiance, the food, the music, the workers decked out in TMNT tshirt a, and even the wait! I love coming here for an early non-boozy brunch! The Juggernaut and The Hulk are worth fighting over and they are big enough to share! He space isn’t very big, but each time ice come it has provided a wait time just long enough to walk down the street to pick up a Starbucks to drink while we wait. Both times I’ve been here, the service has been spot on! As a Cbus brunch-aholic, I will absolutely keep Superchefs in my rotation!

The superhero themed restaurant is great. The place is decorated in Marvel comics and local landmarks. The food is also inspired by superheroes such as the hulk. The food is good. They bump good music such as The Temptations and Stevie Wonder. The only think I wasn’t crazy about was their hush browns. They were too fried. But I’m a hush brown snob.

Great place to get breakfast after a long weekend of partying! We enjoyed the Juggernaut and Super Chef omelette. This place offers a small diner feel, but over the top menu. We’d definitely come back next time we’re in town.

It was a good 30 minute wait for a party of 3, and there is not much space to wait inside. It was 12 on a Saturday so all in all the wait was not bad. I really enjoyed the superheroes theme and how they incorporated into the artwork and the menu. My husband ordered the breakfast nachos and I got the Cajun omelette. Both were quite nice, but neither of us were blown away. Their hash-browns looked more like string fries, but they were beautifully crunchy and delicious. We would definitely consider this spot again, however we might try to aim for a less busy time.

Decided to come and check SuperChef Downtown again. And I am glad I did, they have some new menu items. I tried the Homer Pancakes. They were described as donut shaped pancakes with strawberry frosting and sprinkles. I didn’t put 2 and 2 together to know that these are Homer SIMPSON inspired pancakes. Remember Homer’s favorite donut on the Simpsons? It looks exactly like that. It came in at 12 bucks, but it doesnt come with any candied bacon or any side for that matter. So I had to order my own. Homer Pancakes 1−5=4.

First time visiting Super Chefs. They just finished a remodel, and are debuting a new menu starting today. Went in for a quick lunch with a buddy, we both got one of their waffle sandwiches — the Hulk and the Juggernaut. The Hulk is — candied bacon, eggs, cheese, and maple syrup sandwich between green waffles. I couldn’t eat the whole thing it was massive! The juggernaut is fried chicken, cheese, eggs and bacon sandwiched between red waffles, also equally as massive as the Hulk! My friend had originally ordered one of the new menu items, but they didn’t have all the ingredients on hand to make, which was a bummer. Our waitress, Brianna, was awesome — attentive and very pleasant. Also, we had no problem using our entertainment book discount. The waffles were a little thick, I don’t think this is an every day meal, but would definitely go back and try other menu items — they all pretty much looked delicious. Most importantly — if you get the Hulk, be prepared to have a green mouth LOL.

My sister was apartment shopping since she would be starting Pharm School soon, and I came with her that weekend to help and of course explore the great eats that Columbus has to offer. I used the Unilocal app to find a good breakfast/brunch place, and we decided on this place. We got the OG pancake platter(it looked like a caloric attack), veggie omelet, and the chicken and waffles. I didn’t try the OG platter, but my dining companions devoured most it and liked it very much. As for the fried chicken and waffles, the waffles were delicious, and the fried chicken had good flavor, but was a bit dry. I mostly ate the veggie omelet which came with roasted potatoes and a side salad. It was pretty standard, but I needed something light since I was helping my sister eat her chicken and waffles which was a massive portion size. I like the casual atmosphere and super heroes theme. This place is definitely a must try, just make sure to wear your stretchy pants and come hungry!

I went on Saturday for the first time. It was amazing. It took us forever to order because we couldn’t decide because everything on the menu looked amazing and we just kept watching what came out of the kitchen to everyone’s tables in amazement. We finally ordered and we’re thrilled with our choices. My omelet was fantastic and the candied bacon was amazing. The cinnamon crunch waffles were one of the best things I’ve ever had! We shared a bunch of things and there wasn’t a bite I could complain about! I can’t wait to go back! I can’t recommend it enough and their prices are really great in comparison to other places!

One of the best and most inventive breakfast spots in Columbus! The Juggernaut and Hulk are must-tries. There are so many different kinds of pancakes… It warrants multiple trips to try them all. I, personally, am a chicken and waffles connoisseur. And theirs do not disappoint. The chicken is wing-form and the seasoning is on point: peppery and spicy to blend perfectly with the sweet maple and waffles. Come early since the wait on weekends can be long. We target around 930 on Sunday and have never had to wait. What are you waiting for? Go get Super!

I saw the reviews on Unilocal and thought it looked good based on that fact. Love my Unilocal family and all there help finding good places to eat. Unfortunately this has been one of my worst experiences ever! There is no parking and after running to the meter 3 times I was totally done. The meters only let you go ½ hour at a time and I spent 15 minutes meter running. Had 3 people sat before us and they ate and left before we even got our food. I was a so disgusted I boxed the food because I had lost my appetite. The manager and waitress came over and offered excuses of how they care about the process of making food. After asking to box our food which they said was ready it took another ½ hour. Seriously you got to be kidding me.
