Mostly fine and veggies were fresh but when I ask repeatedly for a «small amount of, just a little bit, a single squirt of» sauce, and the guy keeps squirting back and forth even after I go «Oh no please that is way too much!!»… I am not happy. This happens at almost every Subway I go to so maybe I can’t blame it too much on this location. So now my sandwich is soggy and sticky and dripping sauce everywhere and adding calories, etc that I don’t want. And I can’t bring myself to ask for a new sandwich although once home and eating it, I really wish I had. Seriously Subway? Do you train your people not to listen when it comes to sauce requests or is the«normal» amount just so much that 4 passes on a 6in sub seems like a «small» serving?

Just your standard Subway. Not a lot of thought went into the layout of the restaurant. When it gets busy, you are left queuing in the tables and booths interrupting the customers who are trying to dine in. Generally the place is staffed by college students who look like they don’t want to be there at all. The worst part of this restaurant has to be the manager/owner. I have never seen him be polite or even crack a smile during the many times I have been here. He is always short and sometimes rude to both the customers and his employees.

I used to come here all the time. It was pretty good. It’s laid back and what not but almost two laid back now. Guy just dropped his glove in the vegetables and left it there picking around it once. Nope. Not for me. I noticed that the way the food was handled made me question the cleanliness. Some egg disk circle thing. .. You know the egg they put on breakfast sandwiches kind stuck to another, and it didn’t quick fall back in the bin and got slammed in the little fridge door or what ever. Just very little care was taken with the food. And now the sandwiches regularly look like some one nuked it because olives aren’t even in it, sauce is oozing out and it just looks completely unappetizing. Bummer.

I have to admit, I have friends who used to work here, and there were things going on that you just don’t expect your sandwich artists to be doing at work. Mostly just making the day go by faster, lol. The owner is or was a cool guy who, although not necessarily supportive or aware of the goings on, was also laid back about it so long as you were getting the job done and keeping the customers coming and going. They were able to wear whatever they wanted aside from the Subway shirt, and play whatever music they wanted, which was often Screeching Weasel, Sublime, or drum’n’bass. Gotta love that. I ate here as a regular customer fairly often. I would go for lunch just to kick it with friends, and cuz I knew they’d make my sub with care. Even though my friends moved on to more«serious» jobs, I still return once in a while. The staff still seems to be somewhat alternative, maybe a little more hippie leaning nowadays. It’s also right by my work so I should really start going there a bit more. Subway is cheap, fairly healthy and delicious, and you basically get two meals for five bucks. Another great thing about this location: it’s open til 3am to satisfy the midnight cravings of Nyoh’s, Momo, and other surrounding bar patrons.
