Studio 33 Salon & Spa

I absolutely love this salon. I’ve been coming to Studio 33 for the past 5 years to get Brazilian blowouts from Lindsay. Not only are the prices fantastic, but Lindsay does an amazing job. I’ve sent many friends to her, and they all say the same thing: wow!
In addition to coming to the salon for Brazilian blowouts, I’ve received AMAZING facials from Barbara. She’s gentle and specifies her service to your skin type. I always leave my facial feeling relaxed and rejuvenated and my skin has improved so much since seeing Barbara! Also, the salon is almost always running a fun special: I once tried a champagne and roses facial as part of one of their promotions and I loved it!
And because I love the place so much, I also decided to try a full body massage here when they were running a holiday special. It. Was. Amazing. Granted, I’ve never had a full body massage (obviously i didn’t know what I was missing in life). LaShauna was amazing. I bought my mom a gift card for a massage from LaShauna as well and she also had a wonderful experience.
In addition to amazing and well-​priced services, the entire staff is so friendly. (Jennifer, the manager, is especially awesome and has made a point of getting to know me, which shows true care for customers). I genuinely look forward to coming here because they make me feel so welcome and I never hesitate to send any of my friends to this salon. I no longer live in Columbus and it is STILL my go-​to place. Thank you Tammy!

I came to this salon as a brand new customer for the first time yesterday. I booked a manicure appointment since I had an interview and a date. My nail appointment was for 3 pm and after I arrived at 3, I was kept waiting for 25 minutes. (I was the only one in the waiting room.) After my manicure started, this appointment turned to a disaster. The nail tech did not clean underneath of my nails and my massage lasted maybe 2 minutes. In addition, the second coat of polish wasn’t applied properly and was missed on the sides of all my nails. The ends weren’t covered so you can see the layering on every side. After less than 24 hours the polish chipped on 3 of my nails. My nails look like a kindergartener did them, so I’m not exactly surprised the polish chipped off after less than a day. Bad service and horrible technique. Waste of 20 bucks– I am never coming back!

I donate my hair to Locks of Love every couple of years and I usually go to my regular salon and send in the hair myself. I thought I’d try this salon this time since they advertise that they are in partnership with Locks of Love and offer a «free haircut» when you donate your hair.
You get what you pay for. They will technically «cut» your hair for free. But you could do that yourself with any old pair of scissors. If you want your hair actually DONE you have to pay regular price. I told the stylist I just wanted the free cut… never imagining they would literally just chop off my hair and be done with it.
I never thought a professional hair stylist would let a person walk out of their salon with hair looking like my hair did that day. Even for a free haircut, I expected SOME level of professionalism! I would’ve thought she’d have at least been thinking of the tip!
I left the salon in tears and went straight back to my regular hair stylist who was able to fix my hair quickly. BTW, I spent an hour and a half at Studio 33. I sat in the chair for an hour. I have NO IDEA what the stylist was doing for all that time. She did shampoo me, so I guess that’s something?
I did enjoy the cup of tea I drank while I waited for the stylist.

I’ve been coming to this salon for about a year now. It’s the first salon that I’ve been a regular at. Before this, it was just… great clips.
Adena does a fantastic job with eyebrows and I’ve had a few haircuts here from a few different people (Natalie?) and it was a positive experience each time. I plan on trying out a manicure here as well and will update my review accordingly after I do that.
The location is downtown, with a small, right parking lot. But I feel it is very safe, and you can see your car from the salon which is cool. Lots of products to purchase, and they always have coffee, tea and snacks for free. Super comfortable lounge chairs and a couch if you are waiting.
Price is about medium for a salon. Worth it, certainly.

I love this salon! I’ve been coming here for years and I would highly recommend their services. I’ve been coming to Adena for my waxing and Natalie for my hair. The salon is clean and everyone is very friendly. They recently renovated and now have room for more manicure and pedicure stations. I’ve recommended many friends and family to this salon and they have all had wonderful experiences. This is a great salon for basic upkeep or for a large event (wedding, prom, special occasion).
