Station 88 is located inside of the Ohio Union, where it shares space with UniPrint. It’s near the bank and is easily accessible from the next door parking garage. The shop, not surprisingly, contains a huge quantity of Ohio State gear. There is a small section of snacks and drinks, but otherwise, it’s a whole lot of OSU apparel: sweatshirts, t-shirts, hats, pants, athletic shorts, socks, baby onesies, etc. You’ll also find pet items, doormats, shot glasses, coffee mugs, pennants, blankets, jewelry, stickers, and pretty much anything else they can fit a logo on on the loose. There is a Christmas section with a variety of OSU ornaments and stockings, and the Longaberger Company exclusively retails its scarlet and gray Sisters collection of bags here. Sorority members can find notebooks and other trinkets with their group’s names on it. The major pro is that if you are looking for something kind of obscure that is OSU themed, you’ll probably find it here. The one con is that, as you might guess, it’s pretty pricey here on a regular basis. On the flip side, they do have sales and clearance, so if you’re willing to just pop in and look around for the good deals, you can find some. I visited during the recent summer sale, and was quite happy to score some clearance items at an additional 50% off the already reduced prices. Hours vary based on the school year, so check the website to make sure they are open when you are planning to go.
