I have been here twice because it is the closest dry cleaner to my house. Both times have been bad. The first time I was dropping off clothes and the guy at the desk told me the total(over $ 50 for a few blouses and pants) so I took the pants back and said I didn’t need them dry cleaned. He then was very rude to me and belittling. At that point I was right out of college and just didn’t want to spend that much money and figured I could clean the pants myself. He still had my blouses so I wasn’t walking out of the store giving him no business, the blouses were still $ 35 to dry clean. When I got the silk blouses back two of them had stains on them. Of course I noticed it at home because they left a little tag on the hanger saying something along the lines of this is the best we can do… but they’re the ones who caused the detergent like stains. I couldn’t take them back to them because once you leave their store they don’t let you. I took the same two blouses to another dry cleaner and they dry cleaned them with no problem. I have avoided them for a few years now, but a few weeks ago I decided to give them another chance due to their proximity to me. Big mistake. This time I brought in six silk blouses. I didn’t learn my lesson about what happened the time before and didn’t check their condition in the store. Once I got home I checked the blouses and four of the six had stains on them with the tag that said«this is the best we can do.» The stains were new and not caused by me and looked to be detergent stains again. I just would have liked them to tell me before I left their store both times that something didn’t go right with my clothes. I then took the blouses to Rainbow Cleaners on 3rd Ave and they fixed what Spring had done, and for a cheaper cost too. If I’m going to spend $ 6 per blouse then I want to be told before I leave the store either 1) we made your blouse more dirty and thus will refund you, or 2) we need to dry clean your blouse again.

I dropped off various items to be dry cleaned yesterday. This morning my suit and pair of dress pants returned in excellent condition, but little did I know my ties were ruined. After taking the items home I noticed the ties looked beat up to say the least(The more I look at them the more I think my silk ties were laundered). Having done business here several times before I didn’t think to check before leaving. After noticing the poor condition my ties were in I saw a small tag pinned to the bottom of one indicating something along the lines of «This is the best we could do without further damage». Here’s where the first problem lies. I understand people make mistakes, I understand things don’t turn out as expected 100% of the time. Working in customer service however, I know that the right thing to do is take ownership for a mistake up front instead of leaving it to the customer to discover on their own. Simply telling me about the issue before I left the store would have saved my first trip back. When I returned, the lady at the front desk(very kind I must admit) tried to press them and after doing so explained that the new type of silk used in ties is too think and the construction of my(Calvin Klein — not abnormal ties) didn’t allow her to properly press them. I found this a little strange as I have had the same tie dry cleaned by this business and another before and it came out perfect!!! Once again, the lady at the front desk was very kind and I brushed off the mistake, thinking to myself this can’t be too big of a task for a steamer to clean up. Wrong. The ties are essentially ruined at this point. I’m not normally the type of customer to demand refunds at every turn, but in this instance I felt the service I paid for was not completed as expected. Upon returning, I didn’t act irrationally or demand to be reimbursed for my ties. I simply asked for a refund of the approximately $ 10 I had spent to get these ties dry cleaned. The man at the desk claimed that I had to speak with the woman I had spoken to earlier and that she would not be back until tomorrow. I calmly explained the situation once more and asked kindly if I could just get a refund now rather than being inconvenienced with a 4th visit. He replied again with«She would be the one to talk to.» This is my closest dry cleaner and I will now be taking my business elsewhere.

Reasons to go to Spring Cleaners: You get early morning friendly greetings and jokes.(I feel like I’ve known them for years) It’s family owned. They do same-day cleaning if you get your clothes in by 9am. The only pain point is it takes their tailor about a week to complete, if you need something hemmed/sewn. But it’s worth the wait. I will still be a fan for life, or at least as long as I’m in Columbus!

I have done business at Spring Cleaners about 4 – 5 times. Each time I pick up my clothes, there is an extra $ 10+ tacked onto the price. The most recent example was when I picked up my skirt which needed a new zipper. When I dropped it off, I was told it would cost about $ 13 to repair. When I picked it up, it was $ 27.(About the same price I paid for the skirt.) I can understand a slight increase – but more than double the estimate? By the way, I had a similar repair in NY that cost $ 9. The guy at the desk blamed the price increase on the seamstress, which he always does… Bottom Line: They are overpriced, the customer service is terrible, and you can’t take their word when they give you an estimate.

Enough though this place looks like it hasn’t changed since the day it opened, they do a great job. There was a stain on my dress that they were not able to get out so they discounted the cleaning. The employees were kind as well. I will us them again.

I bring my designer clothes in here every week & they have been completely professional, friendly & most importantly have cleaned my clothes without incident! I even had them spot clean my Diane Von Furstenberg luggage set — they were very reasonable in pricing & the set looks like new again! I haven’t used their alteration services because I have a tailor in German Village that I’m loyal to, but this is my one and only dry cleaner now.

Needed a dress drycleaned last minute… Glad I found this place. They got it done same day, and there is actually a discount if you don’t leave it there overnight. The people were friendly and my dress was spotless =)

fast, good. Robert memorizes your name quickly and is friendly. The rest of staff are not really friendly but get the job done.

My neighborhood dry cleaner. Shirts are a little under 2 bucks, pants are kind of expensive(maybe $ 7-ish). suits are $ 12 — $ 15 and a full tux under $ 20. The one thing I would change is the amount of time and money it takes to get things re-hemmed or altered at all. All that stuff gets shipped out to some lady that they sub-contract so it is going to take a week or two. I have also had the same pant hem redone there more than once. Either it wasn’t done that well the first time or I am awfully hard on my pants hems.
