I really like this gym. My husband and I became members in May after a free one week trial, and got a great rate with the summer special they were running at the time. The location is nice, right down the street, so we usually walk, unless we’re already out and decide stop by with the car, in which case there is plenty of parking in the lot. The owner and his manager are both very nice and friendly people, there to chat or answer questions during office hours, and get back to me quickly when they’re not in and I’ve left a voice message. I love the convenience of this gym being open 24/7, and since I try to go during off peak hours, I will often times have the whole place to myself or share with just a couple of people. The variety of equipment is great for this size gym, and they have plenty of cardio, weight machines, and free weights. It could be a problem for some that there’s not a locker room with showers if you wanted to visit during work. There are cubby holes to throw your stuff in while working out, and there’s a standard restroom shared with Local Cantina.

We love this gym, it’s super close to the house. The staff is friendly and it is exactly what this area needs. It’s a small gym, just some treadmills, ellipticals, a bike, and a lot of weights. All you need in one compact space. Being open 24⁄7 is a definite perk too, so no matter what shift you are working you can still get a safe workout in because you can only get in with your keycard. There is even emergency buttons you can wear if you feel uncomfortable being alone during non office hours. The bathrooms outside of the secure area is a little inconvenient, but not a big deal. It’s a quick easy way to get in, get your workout done, and get on with your day. No messy locker rooms or showers to have to contend with other people is actually a perk!

This gym is newly opened. It is pretty nice(for a Snap Fitness) but has room for a few significant improvements. If you’re a regular at another Snap Fitness in Columbus I’d summarize it as better than Grandview, worse than Upper Arlington. The gym has 4 normal treadmills, 1 Woodway treadmill, 4 Cybex ellipticals, and 1 Matrix elliptical. They also have most of the necessary weight machines and a very small free weights area. The machines aren’t as new as the rest of the gym — some of them are showing a little bit of rust. The gym uses a keycard access system for 24 hour access, just like any other Snap Fitness. Unlike any of the other Snap Fitness facilities I’ve visited, the bathrooms are outside of the«secure» area. This means that if I want to go grab a drink of water, I have to fish my keycard out of my gym bag or get locked out. What’s worse is that this gym shares its bathroom with the restaurant next door — Imagine my surprise when I was changing out of a sweaty gym shirt and two tipsy guys stumbled in from happy hour! I also noticed that there was no scale anywhere in the gym. Although this is now the closest Snap Fitness gym to me, I’ll continue using the UA location.
