Sleep Well Columbus

They were quite possibly the best people I have ever dealt with in the purchase of a mattress. I have moved to several places around the country and they have been the most accommodating, far and away. Thank you, sleep well Columbus!

It was the high reviews that got me to go to Sleep Well Columbus to purchase my mattress!
I had just moved from California, and I was searching for a mattress to just get me through my graduate program, something that isn’t too fancy but will allow me to get some good rest at night.
Just so you all know, you no longer need to call ahead! The showroom is open during the normal operating hours listed. We didn’t know at the time, but they seemed nice so we went in to check it out.
Though I bought a pretty good quality twin for $ 175 here, I don’t think this is the best price I could have gotten. I have gotten the same good quality mattress for cheaper, but the people there didn’t seem like they were open to any price negotiation, saying they can’t bring down the price since they’re going to deliver it to my place for free. I thought free shipping was just a given from the reviews that I read on here, guess not.
Overall, the service was good. They were very friendly people, chatting it up with me as they got the mattress ready for delivery.

I moved to Columbus from out of state, arriving at noon on Sunday. At 1 I visited Sleep Well and met with Kevin. And at 4 PM he arrived at my apartment with my sweet new Queen Size mattress set. He even set up the bedframe for me. Delivery was free. The prices were WAY more than fair. About 300 for a nice set, and I think 45 for the bedframe. Everything was new in its original wrapping.

Just moved to Columbus from California. Read the Unilocal reviews on the way over and decided to check out Sleep Well Columbus. I talked to Matt on the phone who was really helpful. The «show room» had about 7 mattresses that ranged in both price and quality, but overall, all were pretty reasonably priced. They let me run around and try out all the beds.
I went with a queen pillowtop. They delivered same day for no extra charge. Unfortunately, when I tried to get it upstairs, I realized that the queen box spring wouldn’t fit :(I called Matt, and he dropped off a split box for an extra $ 40. Everything fit and I’ve been sleeping like a baby ever since. Thanks, Matt!

I bought a king mattress set from SWC and it’s pretty awesome. The owner, Kevin, was very helpful and knowledgable about his products. It is a call for appointment place, but I was told by Kevin that they have a storefront opening on April 14^th, so it may be easier to see their mattresses.

I bought a bed from Sleep Well Columbus a couple of weeks ago and it was a great experience. As noted in previous reviews, the arrangement is unique in that you make an appointment by calling Sleep Well and then stop by a small storage warehouse to view their mattresses.
Kevin, who is the owner or co-​owner I believe, met me at the storage warehouse and showed me their inventory. There were no high sales pressure tactics here. Kevin pulled out the mattresses I wanted to see, made a few suggestions, but basically left me to choose what I wanted. This was such a wonderful contrast to the high pressure sales tactics typical of other mattress stores like Sleepy’s.
The mattress I wanted wasn’t in stock, but the company will order it for you, which is what Kevin did. I received a discount and paid what I thought was a very good price for the mattress and box spring (certainly less than what I saw at other stores). The purchase also included free delivery. Kevin provided me an estimated delivery based on the next time mattresses were being delivered to the area and he was also very prompt in calling me when there was a change to the estimated delivery (it came early!). The bed itself is very comfortable and I have had no issues with it.
This will be the fifth time that I have bought a mattress and this was definitely my best mattress buying experience. I definitely recommend Sleep Well Columbus. You’ll get friendly service, no high pressure sales tactics, a great price, and you will be supporting a local small business! I will certainly be back for any future bed purchases.

After my first night in Columbus, I decided that sleeping atop an air mattress on a hardwood floor would be a poor long-​term option. So I took to the internet to find a place to find a cheap new mattress.
Sleep Well Columbus is not your typical mattress store. They sell overstock mattresses at a discount. It’s based in a facility that looks more like a storage locker than a showroom. No showroom = no regular business hours, so one must call ahead to make an appointment. I got one scheduled same-​day with no problem.
At the agreed-​upon hour, one of the owners arrived and opened the garage door, revealing a variety of mattresses and box springs. I was on the market for a queen, and there were six or seven different models set up, with box springs and frames, for me to try. All the «how the hell do you buy a mattress?» websites claim that one must lie on a mattress for several minutes prior to making the decision to purchase one, and I think this is awkward whether you’re in a showroom or a storage locker. The owner made it clear that I was welcome to try the mattresses out as long as I wanted.
Prices ranged from about $ 100 for a basic queen set up to about $ 500 for the high-​end memory foam models, if I remember correctly. I settled on a mid-​range pillowtop in the $ 300 range. They delivered for free immediately (the owner threw the mattress in his pickup truck and followed me home!), and the bed frame was free with my Unilocal check-​in. The mattresses are new and in plastic, and come with a 5-​year warranty.
I’m the first to admit I’m not a mattress aficionado, I sleep well on just about everything, and it wasn’t important to me to have a huge selection. I’m also the first to admit that it felt a bit sketchy purchasing a mattress out of a storage locker. Once I got past that, however, I got exactly what I wanted from SWC. The owner I met seemed very solid, they’ve been in business now for several years, and I saved about 50% compared to some of the local competitors. I’ve been sleeping like a baby for two weeks now, and I’m very happy with my purchase.
