Sharks Fish & Chicken

Great for its cheap price. I love the chicken and fish meal! The fish is seasoned just right, the chicken is a little dry but i couldn’t really be mad with the amount of food i got for such a cheap price! My food was made fast and Customer service was excellent!

DISGUSTING! Went in and ordered. Took awhile because everything is cooked to order so figured it would be good. Had the lunch 3 piece chicken fingers, slaw, fries and bread. Chicken tasted like it was cooked in OLD grease that was used for the fish. Felt sick for a few hours after eating. There are a lot better chicken places around. Definitely, will not be back!

I was hesitant on trying this place but I heard good things about it. Our 1^st trip was about 2 weeks ago, we got the catfish bites & chicken tenders meal & the hot wings. Everything was delicious! The portions are huge & the flavor yummy! We went again tonight and I got the special of 6 fried wings/​legs with fries and coleslaw for $ 4.99! Can’t beat the price, portion sizes or the good food!

Um. I really don’t know what to say about this place. The only major pro is that the portion sizes are huge. This place operates like a fast food restaurant even though they have a sign that says this is not so. It’s something about how they make the food right as you order (?). Who knows.
The food itself was okay. It wasn’t terrible for deep fried food. I had the catfish nuggets. It was pretty good. It comes with fries, 2 slices of toast (which it was hardly toasted), and coleslaw (which I never received). The whole chicken special my friends had was crazily large for 20 pieces. The chicken itself was okay. The breading around the chicken wasn’t too heavy – it was a light coating. I usually like the skin to be crispy and flavorful, but this chicken wasn’t cutting it in the flavor department.
I guess this place is an alternative to the typical Church’s, KFC, or Popeye’s. Oh. And if you’re trying to use the restroom, it’s located outside behind the building. You don’t really need a key to access the restrooms either so I guess non-​customers can use it. Lol.

I’m always skeptical of restaurants who claim to be «Chicago-​Style». Being a native to the city and also a traveler, I wish I could bring a law suit against well over half the restaurants that claim this, because it is certainly not the case with most. That being said, the food was pretty good @ Sharks if you enjoy fried foods. It definitely reminded me of my high school days back in Chicago just looking for a hole in the wall for a cheap lunch.
And just like the old days, the young girl at the register could use a little customer service training and less attitude. Prices are reasonable but service is not quick. This is a made to order sort of place, so be prepared to wait if you have several people in your party (again, just like in high school). We had the fried shrimp, wings (regular & BBQ), catfish, chicken nuggets and french fries.
In my world of ratings, a 3 means I would likely come back IF I’m in the area and a 4 indicates I would make a special trip to eat there again. I would more accurately rate them a 3.5 if Unilocal allowed for ½ stars. I wouldn’t make a special trip from Atlanta, but it would be one of my first options if I was anywhere near Columbus, Ga.

Good fish and wings. All fried. Guilty pleasure. A little more expensive than the competition but food seems to be fried when you buy it. Has a drive-​thru but not drive thru fast. make sure you have a minute if you go there.
