Sharing Machine is the merchandise site for Drew & Natalie Dee. You know, toothpaste for dinner, NatalieDee, married to the sea? I had a not-so-lovely experience with Drew in 2007. And yeah, I’m obviously still butthurted about it – 3 years later. Especially since I still have the stupid t-shirts and I noticed them rotting in a drawer today. I purchased 3 t-shirts from them. At that time, they noted on their website that shipping took 2 – 3 weeks. After 3 weeks had passed, I decided to send them an email inquiring about my order that I had not yet received but had already paid for. The response I got from Drew was very short and he told me that he would«look up the order» and that he «hadn’t seen anything come back — let me know in a week or so if you don’t get it and i’ll send replacements :) «. They didn’t use tracking numbers. Not sure if they do now. So there was no way of tracking my package. Annoying. Since I had paid for my order already and wasn’t getting anywhere with this guy my response was: «so… if i don’t get them within the next week does this mean i’ll receive the replacements in another«2 – 3 weeks» from then?» He never answered any of my questions. At that time(2007) this was on their website: **“If you have a problem with your order, send an email to _____and do your best to BEPOLITE. If your order goes missing, we’ll help you find it. If we send you the wrong thing, we will fix it ASAP. We’re reasonable people. Conduct yourself in a reasonable manner when you email us, and you’ll find the experience reassuring and pleasant. Even if you’re a dick, we’ll let you know what’s going on with your order or re-ship your lost merchandise, but you know, it just makes everyone’s day better if you can be specific and polite when conducting your e-mail correspondence.”** One week later, still no t-shirts. One month after I placed the order and I live 2 hours away. Yet another email sent to Drew. His reply: «Can you provide me with an alternate address(home/school/work is fine — the resident’s name must be on the address if you live there.) I will send replacements to the new address — unfortunately, since the first package didn’t make it, we will be unable to ship to your first address.» My response: «i provided my home address the first time. why wouldn’t it be able to be shipped to my home? that’s where i live. i have never, ever had a problem with anything i’ve ordered being shipped to my home address via usps, fedex, ups. i order things regularly and they are shipped to my home address without a problem. isn’t there a way to check where you had it shipped? i am afraid if i provide my work address that it won’t get to me there either.» And this is when I became officially pissed off: «Hi Stefanie, Please don’t be difficult, okay? We’re replacing your merchandise for free. Just give me an alternate address and I’ll ship your replacements. We are not going to ship another package to your first address and you are not getting a refund, period. I hate to be this way, but you are wasting my time. Just read what I wrote and follow the directions so we can send you your FREEREPLACEMENTS. Free. At our cost. Thanks. drew» That exchange made me want to stomp on his greasy head and force him to take a shower. I did finally receive the t-shirts(oh, I mean my FREEREPLACEMENTS) on October 29, 2007. The order was placed on September 14, 2007. I told several friends about my experience and more than one of them told me that Drew wasn’t very«customer service oriented» to them either. I certainly hope that Drew has changed the way he treats his fans and customers since 2007. I haven’t looked back at their comics or merch since. I did notice today that he still has that stupid mustache.
