I did not realize that this space was a park; I thought it was just a plaza owned by Crown Plaza Hotel. It is named after Jack Sensenbrenner, a mayor in the 1950s and 1960s. I’ve enjoyed this space for years. It is a very striking space on the southeast corner of Nationwide Blvd and High, across from One Nationwide. It’s full of civic beauty, with red brick walkways that spiral and ramp around leading to a lower octagon of calming aesthetics. The walk ways are bordered by gardens and trees. At the lower level are black benches and a fountain – a long waterfall in front of a golden wall carved with abstract art. Add the urban background of diverse architecture and here you have a great space to breath in public art and settle your thought. There is also a CoGo bike station here. It is a relaxing place to enjoy sunshine and take a breather for downtown office goers, passerby’s, or tourists.
