Expect a wait if you get there on the weekend after 8am, but it’s worth it. Not much room on the inside to wait, so most people crowd the outside waiting. The wait’s not too bad, though. Delicious menu!

We must have ordered wrong. All the rave reviews are about breakfast or the specials of the day. We ordered vegetable plates and were very disappointed — except for the mashed potatoes my husband had, which were great. The steamed cabbage had no flavor at all. The turnip greens and lima beans clearly came from cans. The warning on the menu that the vegetables might contain«pork fat or pork meat» clearly was just a come-on. They contained no seasoning at all. The wait staff was great and the place was super clean. We will give it another chance. But we won’t order vegetable plates!

First time visit. I like the atmosphere, friendly staff and good breakfast selection. The corned beef and tater omelet was very good and the hashbrowns tasted fresh not frozen. Definitely will come back again. Good size portions and reasonable prices.

Was in Georgia for my sons graduation from basic training. He suggested eating here after his turning blue ceremony… i am so happy he did. Our waitress was the best… didnt get her name… blonde shoulder length hair with bangs. I ordered the special… homemade chicken and dumplings with cabbage and black eyed peas… man was this food delicious. Everything was seasoned to perfection. We loved it here so much we came back the next day! I had country fried steak mash potatoes and gravy… amazing. My husband had salmon croquettes he is still talking about how good they were. What a treasure to have such an amazing little jewel !

Ruth Ann’s was easily the best meal I had during my Thankscation in Columbus. I’m a sucker for breakfast food from a diner, and Ruth Ann’s did not disappoint. Between my friend and I, we ordered coffee, hot chocolate, Georgian Benedict(eggs benny with fried! green! tomato! When in the South…), a combo breakfast, and we split the Captain Crunch French Toast. Every bite was delicious. Every bite left me wanting more. My favorite was the Georgian Benedict, and the genius who decided to put fried greens tomatoes on eggs benny needs an award. My friend who’s been there before said lunch wasn’t as good, but that’s ok since Ruth Ann’s serves breakfast all day long! Those lucky Columbus people and Army folks. Who needs IHOP and Denny’s when they have Ruth Ann’s?

Super friendly. Excellent service. They were super busy, but took great care of us. Kids loved the captain crunch french toast. When we come back we’ll definitely stop back in. 5 of us ate a great breakfast for around $ 60, cant beat that.

Last time I was visiting I ate here and was happy. Would have to consider it a five star restaurant. The second visit has me dropping them down a star for poor service. Waitress was hard to get assistance from, entire food order was not placed, and the manager was non apologentic. I asked each time for my coffee to be refilled.

This is one of our Fav breakfast/brunch spots! The food is always good, and the serving staff are so friendly and helpful! It’s just a great, no frills, community-oriented eatery, that’s been around for years, and rightfully so. Today, we did our first«to go» order. I had the Captain Crunch French Toast for the first time, and OMGOSH, can I just say that this meal was AMAAAAAZING! My hubby had one of his favs, the sweet potato pancakes. He loved them. We added eggs, turkey sausage, and thick cut bacon. Delish!!! You will not go wrong with Ruth Ann’s! Unfortunately, I have no picture of our food because we devoured it.

Friendly service and amazing Captain Crunch French toast. She even gave me the recipe. If you’re ever in the Columbus area, give these a try.

Food is good, staff is polite, prices are reasonable. Hard to find a place that can do a good eggs Benedict! Took away one because every time I’ve been there it smells like a nursing home cafeteria. Get past that and this place is a must!

This place came highly recommended by guys in my platoon. Great food! Excellent service by a friendly staff! Wait time was only about 10 mins for a Sunday. I will definitely be returning. My only regret is waiting so long to come here.

This is a pretty good breakfast place and the service is always good. Nice mom and pop place. The prices are pretty steep, but not too ridiculous. The coffee was also pretty good. Definitely go here instead of the chain places!

We went on Saturday morning had a 15min wait to be seated, then about 5min to get drinks and place order. Took almost 30min to get food, then it was all cold when it arrived. We ate what we could, then asked for ticket. Was shocked to see it was $ 35 for two people, the coffee was $ 2.50. Overall was very disappointed with quality of the food and the service. I will not be going back

I love Ruth Anne’s! I don’t come here often enough. Today I discovered new omelets on their menu; Corned Beef & Tater and Yankee Cheese Steak. Compared to chain-restaurants(Denny’s, IHOP, Waffle House) this place is cleaner, the staff is nicer, location is perfect(close to downtown), all of which make the food taste just a bit better! Every time I come here I try a different menu item. It’s a basic menu, but everything has good flavor. Coffee is pretty good, though the busy staff spends half their time refilling mugs. Since their expansion a few years ago, Ruth Ann’s has blossomed. Unfortunately, so has their prices.

I love mom and pop diners, so I really wanted to like this place more than I realistically could. Service — very friendly(5 stars), Price — overpriced, but they do offer a military discount, which defrays the cost a bit(3 stars), Food — a little bland, looking/sounding a lot better on menu than on plate/tongue(3 stars). If I go again, not getting breakfast. The famous red velvet pancakes were not sweet(BabyStacks in Vegas makes em right!) — a bit of a disappointment. Best part of meal food-wise was very LARGE coke glass — no refill needed.

My breakfast experience at Ruth Ann’s was far from a disappointment, in fact, I would call it a success. I did not order the typical egg, bacon and toast breakfast – I stuck to the part of the menu everyone recommended to me – the french toast or pancakes. At first I was torn between the Cap’n Crunch French Toast and the Red Velvet Pancakes and then my eye caught the special… banana caramel pecan french toast. We shall return to those delicious beauties later. The service was great. When we got there, we were greeted promptly and shown to a seat within 2 minutes on a Saturday, which is impressive. Our waitress was very attentive and super sweet. She got us our coffee and juices super quickly and took our orders, cleaned as we went and checked on us throughout the meal, very good! Back to my french toast. When it got to me, I was blown away. The presentation was nice, not sloppy and overdone like some places. The amount of whipped cream was perfect, caramel was done right, and smelled delicious. When I took my first bite, it was heaven. Perfect balance of banana, caramel, bread, egg, whipped cream goodness. The mister enjoyed his Cap’n Crunch French Toast, however, he’s a Ruth Ann’s veteran and that’s his favorite so he was not surprised. The only reason for the 4 stars and not the full 5 is the price. It’s quite pricey for the type of food being served. Otherwise, totally a 5 star experience for me. Now, maybe next time I’ll try the more traditional breakfasts, but for now I’ll stick with french toast and pancakes…
