The best glazed donut in town! If that was the only item they served, it would be enough for 5 stars. Nicely decorated, moist cakes with yummy icing. Buttery and beautiful flake top dinner rolls! Speedy staff make long lines move quickly.

Pleasant, professional, flexible. All of my guests enjoyed the flavor and aesthetic of the last cake I ordered from them. Beautiful, old fashioned and creative. So, I’m back for another fabulous cake.

The«Resch short-you-sucka bakers dozen»: Went in here today around 2:30PM. Really busy. Anyways, got a number and waited my turn. Ordered — A DOZENDONUTS — not 10, not 8 not 6, not 13 — a dozen. Black lady with a bunch of tats was nice, I thought, who got my order together and she had to go to some of the other counters and get the donuts I ordered — 8(yes, eight is not 6), 2 glazed, 2 apple fritters(they were out of these though so I got a couple cinnamon things instead). When she came back to the counter, the box was closed. I figured, shouldn’t need to CHECKTHEORDER! — IFYOUDOGO, CHECKYOURORDER! Otherwise, you will end up like me with the Resch short-you sucka bakers dozen(ya know, you could almost have somekind of polka song with the same title and dance the polka song to someone playing the accordion«la la la, 10 not 12, thats — the Resch short-you sucka bakers dozen — la la la — go accordion guy, lol» which consists of 10 donuts(I only got 6 chocolate sticks not the 8 I asked for. WON’T BEBACK. Getting jipped by any place leaves a bad taste in my mouth and I don’t care if its the best donut in the world — no thanks, don’t like paying for invisible donuts. Anyways, if I want good donuts, I’ll just make the drive out to Plain City and get them at Der Dutchman. They’re better anyways. Bye Bye Resch — first and last visit I will make to your rip off business.

I was introduced to this place by my assistant. I’ve had some wonderful donuts in my life and this place is pretty good, I must admit. It didn’t knock my socks off as I had expected but they were very good and very affordable. I got a red velvet cake donut and a bowtie and while the red cake wasn’t that impressive, the bowtie was extraordinary. If it had been warm, it would’ve really been heavenly. I can add it to my list of places to stop by every now and then by I can’t swear by it just yet. It’s still not Krispy Kreme. LOL!

Last REAL bakery. Good people working hard to make a great product. Owner was a Air Force vet and my fathers best friend.

Old school bakery. You take a number and wait. Nothing fancy here but good classic baked goods. And super cheap. The chocolate chip cookies are good and the soft pretzels are great. The bread and pies are ok. The place has been there over 100 years and it’s an east side classic. The area has gone downhill but it’s worth the trip.

There is nowhere else in Columbus to get cakes and doughnuts as r as I’m concerned. I’ve been coming here since I was 6 years old. Nothing in Columbus compares!

Our desire for sweets is natural, but over doing anything must be controlled. So when we want to have our weekly our monthly splurge we want the best. We moved into Pickerington a little over two years ago and love the area. So in our attempt to find the best we have been stung occasionally. However, finally we have found a bakery that is worth everything. Resch’s Bakery has everything we want. With our first order we got just a few of our favorites for the weekend. Believe me, we’ll be back next month… or sooner.

I tried the apple fritter, sugar yeast, maple john long, and glazed cake. My favorites were the glazed cake and apple fritter. The sugar yeast I ended up throwing out. Resch’s is a calssic bakery. The donuts are nothing too fancy and they offer cakes, cupcakes, cookies, and other baked goods. The donuts are very cheap which adds to the rating. The donuts are not the best ive ever had, but theyre better than buckeye donuts. The glazed topping is done well, and the cake donuts are moist. I would return(the donuts are under $ 1).

I ordered a wedding cake from Resch’s bakery, it was a 2 tier beach themed cake that was to serve about 40 people. They did an aweful job. First, I was on a time crunch and they did not have it done at the scheduled time, I was supposed to pick it up at 11:00 and they gave it to me at 11:30. I realize this is only half an hour, but I put the order in over a month ahead of time. The cake was not how I ordered it. I asked for a chocolate top tier and vanilla bottom tier with raspberry filling. They said they were out of chocolate cake in that size, so they substituted a separate sheet cake of chocolate. I have no idea why they couldn’t make more chocolate cake in the right size, they are a bakery after all. The cake I got was dry and there was barely any raspberry filling. The decoration looked like they rushed it last minute. Honestly I could have done a better job decorating myself. I spent $ 115 on this cake. When I called to complain, they told me it was because my order got mixed up and it was in the pile for a different day. They offered to give a $ 20 refund. I feel like a month is an adequate amount of time to provide a quality cake with all of the correct ingredients but Resch’s failed to deliver. I would never get a cake from them again.

Seriously? You’ll only sell me cinnamon rolls if I buy six? We wanted 2 cinnamon rolls, they weren’t pre-bagged like we’ve seen before, they were right on the bottom shelf and honestly they were the only thing that looked like they weren’t selling. I’m not going to buy four extras just because of some weird rule. This may have been how its always been done but why have them out for sale on a sheet like the rest of your donuts when you have a minimum on them? I’d say that’s about it for us. Sigh.

We get a lot of our cakes here. They have he best white cake with white frosting ever. I hosted a bridal shower 8 hours away and ordered the cake from here and took it with us. Their pastries and doughnuts are super fresh and they have so many different homemade breads too. Their cream horns and sticky buns are killer.

I’m so glad I randomly stumbled across this bakery. As I’ve mentioned in other reviews, my job requires me to drive all over Franklin county. I was driving down E. Livingston Ave and knew I had to stop when I saw the Resch’s sign. This is definitely a drive from my apartment in Clintonville, but I always stop when I’m on this side of town! The good: –ALLTHEDONUTS. Seriously, I have liked almost everything I’ve eaten. My favorites are the strawberry danish and the jelly filled donuts. The jelly filled donuts are not too sweet, which can be a problem at other bakeries/donut shops. –The employees are always friendly and willing to help. –They accept credit cards now! The not-so-good: –Parking can be a pain at any time of day. I can usually find a spot though. I’ve just had to wait for other people to get in their cars and pull out. –The wait. I can’t really fault them for this, but the wait kind of sucks. During a busy weekend morning, I’ve waited 15 – 20 minutes before even ordering. Make sure you grab a number as soon as you walk in. Don’t be one of the people complaining because they forgot to take a number. Resch’s is worth the drive across town for me. They have baked goods in addition to the donuts so there will be something for everyone.

I came here to pick up a cake. Its a little bit out of the way for me, but people seemed to love it. Parking lot SEEMED full, but there are lots more spots around the back that no one seemed to be taking advantage of. It doesn’t seem like this would be nice bakery before you go in, but it was. I took a number as soon as I got in(68) and they were on 50.(Saturday morning). Wait was maybe 10 – 15 minutes. Everything looked good, smelled good, and everyone seemed happy to be there getting their treats. The cake was FANTASTIC. Everyone loved it. Ate it 5 days later… still great. If you need a custom cake for a special event, splurge and get it here. I haven’t had better cake in Columbus. Only suggestions, I wish since I was pre-paid and picking up a fairly expensive cake for an event that I wouldn’t have had to wait 15 minutes(maybe make a separate line or section for pre-paid pickups?). Also its far for me(but distance doesn’t affect star rating; just a reason I wouldn’t go back unless for a special reason).

We moved to Canal in Oct and had been getting our donuts at either Kroger or Walmart and I finally got bored with those, posted a request on the Nextdoor social ap p asking for a place with good donuts and baked good. All 10 or so responses directed me to Resch’s and I am glad they did. Every trip I have made(three so far) I have had nothing but the best donuts, cookies and cinnamon rolls. The prices are a bit higher than I would expect for a non-chain place but the product is good and so I have no problem paying it.

I didn’t need anything fancy for a wedding cake. I really wanted something quite simple. Here is my thinking, it is being eaten what matters is that it tastes good. Many people my husband works with recommended this place so we went with it. I wanted a small cake for us to cut, and for pictures but I thought having sheet cake for my guests would be a more economical. Resch’s can make this happen. Since our cake would be cut and served behind the scenes no one would know! Choices are minimal, white, or chocolate cake with lemon, strawberry or raspberry filling with their wedding butter cream frosting. When planning a wedding you will learn to appreciate small amount of option especially if you have a hard time making decision like me. We went with alternating, chocolate, and white cake with raspberry filling. The associate made sure with the small three cake and sheet cake we got the servings we needed. What really can’t be beat is the price. After wedding price shock, this cake option is a welcome surprise.

I finally was in the neighborhood, thus had to stop! Pretty good flow of customers. I had to take a number — 10 — and only had to wait a few minutes before I was helped. I should first day there are only two tables on the left side of the store. Both of those tables were taken. Since seating is very limited, and I was running errands that day, I decided to take my Blondies to go. The craziness that ensues over the holidays got the best of me. I managed to keep forgetting about these scrumptious looking cakes. After a 2 ½ week hold, I finally managed to eat my morsel on a Monday evening. Wow! Great taste! I prefer desserts that can be prepared warm. I popped my bar in the microwave for 15 seconds, and it only enhanced the rich flavor. After downing my half, the only thing that would have made it even better? A nice cold glass of milk :) I plan on frequenting this joint more in the future. I’m salivating just thinking about all those donut offerings, haha!

This place has been around for over 100 years. My mother bought me the most beautiful castle cake from Resch’s when I was 6. They still make cakes and other baked goods, but the star of the show is the donuts. We stopped by on Christmas Eve to buy donuts for Christmas morning. Even though they are a little more expensive than the chain brands you get what you pay for, which are the best donuts in town.
