Ok, I’m updating my review to a STRONGPRO-PIZZAFRESCASTANCE. I should have tried them more than once. They’ve got some good stuff on that menu for late-night snackin’. The delivery is always fast and the food is hot. Their pizza bread is good. Their pepperoni rolls are DANK. They are SO good. I mean, they’re full of butter, but they’re that goooooood ish. Chicken tenders are ok, nothing exceptional but they’ll do. Jalapeño poppers have that cream cheese(DREAM cheese) filling and it hurts so good. Fried pickles are nice and crunchy. Also – have gotten their pasta delivered a few times. It’s durn good! Reliable service for munchie standards!

I may stand corrected. I decided to go back and try the pepperoni rolls and it was a completely different experience. I don’t know if the first time was a fluke with a new guy, or this time they did something different but this time around was probably the best of pepperoni rolls I’ve ever had. Consistency is very important for me with restaurants so i’m holding off on a five star just to see if the next experience replicates this experience. But man, those were some great pep rolls!

Great concept build while maintaining old quality I was a fan of this place many owners ago back when it was Gumby’s. The pizza was pretty good and dirt cheap, and the pokey stix were on point.(I ate it far too often during undergrad.) When it reopened as the Pizza Joint is was roughly similar, with a slight name change from«pokey stix» to «pogo sticks,» but the new Pizza Fresca has moved the focus from pizza to Italian. My first order was a veggie calzone and«Cheesy Pizza Bread»(pokey stix). The calzone wasn’t too great, mainly filled with green peppers and olives, but the cheesy bread is pretty much exactly what it used to be. The next time we ordered I made my own calzone and really enjoyed it. They use mozzarella and ricotta cheese(yum!) and offer marinara and garlic sauce. Miles above most campus pizza offerings. The menu is enormous, including pizza, wings, salads, subs, stromboli, calzones, gyros, pasta and Italian entrees. Hopefully this iteration will stay a while!

Very satisfied customer! The pizza rolls and canzones are winners for sure & I was really impressed with their mac & cheese bites — try them with their zesty cheese sauce — SOOO good!

Having been a somewhat regular customer of the Pizza Joint that used to be here, I was disappointed when it shut down but was excited that something else would come in for my late night pizza option. I was hoping it would be good, and well it wasn’t at all. To begin, on the front page of their website they have a section called«exclusive specials» and the 1st one is the buckeye special which is a large 1 topping pizza for $ 6.99 and it’s a max of 2 per order. I called in and asked for the $ 6.991 topping deal and got 2 pepperonis. I came down here with my dad and gave him $ 14. He came back to the car and needed $ 2 more because they guy said it was $ 15.98 and I just gave it to him because I thought maybe I read the deal wrong. I checked it, and it was correct. I went back into the store for my $ 2. I know it’s not a lot but it’s the principle behind it. I showed either the owner or the manager the online special and he tried to avoid giving me the $ 2 back. He said I needed to ask for it, even though that I did. Then he tried to give me back $ 1 and I had to explain to him that it was a $ 2 difference. I get that simple mistakes are made, but this guy did 3 things to try to get the extra $ 2 and it looked intentional to me. Not worth it to come back. Now the quality of the pizza was on the low end. The dough was really good. The thickness was about half way between your typical hand tossed and NY style pizza. I could not taste the sauce it was so bland. The cheese and pepperoni had a decent flavor to them, but there was so little. Having worked at multiple other pizza shops I know how much cheese most put on their pizzas, ranging from 7 – 12 ounces for a large pizza depending on the quality of the place. My best guess here was that it was around 5 – 6 ounces of cheese. There were also around 20 pepperonis on each pizza. I did not got a piece in every bite. If I didn’t have the experience with the guy trying to rip me off for $ 2, I would rate the pizza around a 2 – 3 star quality but probably would have gone with 3 since it was only $ 6.99. It’s a shame because since the old gumby’s(which was my favorite shop in Columbus) got sold a few years ago, this location is on either its 4th or 5th owners. I give it 6 months before this place goes out of business.

I ordered the Fresca Calzone; one of the best I have ever had. The ingredients tasted fresh and the dough is fantastic. Their marinara sauce is delicious; acidity from the tomatoes with the basil and garlic makes a wonderful pairing with the Fresca Calzone. Pizza Fresca is a great replacement of The Pizza Joint.

I’ve tried their pizzas, chicken lasagna and wings all were grosstastic! BBQ brisket Pizza was a one way ticket to diarrhea town. Crust is a bit fluffy on the outside and crispy on the inside. They offer a bland garlic parmesan wing sauce that’s one of the worst I’ve ever had. This place use to be Gumby’s/Pizza Joint but is under new ownership and changed everything for the worse. By the way no they do not still offer the pepperoni rolls! Never going to be ordering from here again
