PHILLY-osophy

Hate to give a bad review in a small town like Columbus, but this was definitely not the best philly… a good cheesesteak should have warm gooey cheese, tender meat, fresh vegetables and toasted bread. This sandwich was way too heavy on the bread– I ended up not eating the whole bottom piece of bread because it was too much. The meat was just okay– nothing to write home about. Cheesesteaks shouldn’t be that hard to make… I think Philly-​osophy could make a few small changes in their ingredients and make a killer sandwich.

Check this place out!!! So yummy! Both my husband and friend ordered chicken phillies but were brought steak instead. However, they both said the steak was delicious. Our waitress felt bad, so (without our knowledge) she took 20% off our bills AND gave us the chicken versions to-​go on the house. How awesome! We tried to explain that it wasn’t necessary because they liked their meals, but she had already taken care of everything. We’ll be going back for sure!

Being a Jersey boy needing a taste of Philly.
Came to Columbus for a project with my son. Had to stop by and check out the scene downtown. Service was fast and server was very nice.

Good sandwiches, chips ok. I had shroom steak sandwich tasty but not a lot of meat. My husband had the Jamaican chicken jerk. He loved his. My son had the meatball and he gave it a thumbs up. I would come back.

It’s worth to try! Service was good and the good was delicious! I ordered shroom steak with home fries. That wasn’t disappointed me: P very yummy ! I will come back again but next time I will try their home made chips.

Had the southwestern and it was the best Philly I’ve had… some special sauce gave it an awesome flavor. The home fries need to be cooked less… don’t know if that is the usual way they are cooked but they were a little too crunchy for my taste. Service was fast and the prices are not bad. The space is a bit small but cozy… they also have a few tables outside.

Solid Philly cheesesteak in the South. I love the mushroom version and the triple pepper versions of the cheesesteak with the home fries. The service is nice and there isn’t a long wait for lunch. I really enjoy it.

Not too bad for a Philly cheesesteak, being from philly nothing will ever be as good as Genos. But I have had worse when people try to claim Philly cheesesteaks. The only think I didn’t like was cold tator tots. They were cold once I got them. So I know they were old. Their home made chips are pretty good. I should have just gotten them.

Wow… This place was surprisingly underwhelming. A cheesesteak is special — warm bun, melty oozy cheese, and juicy + tender steak. Philly-​osophy did not deliver. I expected more from a place that specializes in cheesesteaks and has 4 stars on Unilocal.
You can probably go to any corner sandwich shop and get a comparable (or better) cheesesteak. I usually go into details on what we ate but the overall experience was just meh. Food took longer than expected and service wasn’t memorable.
Set your expectations accordingly.

I was down from Atlanta for a meeting and decided that I needed a bite to eat on the ride back.
I opened Unilocal and saw Philly-​osophy with a very good rating.
I decided that I wanted one. I ran over from my appointment and ordered the triple pepper (banana, Italian and jalapeño) minus the jalapeño chicken philly.
It came with homemade potato chips that were AWESOME!!!
I order the 10″ because I thought that I would eat half and give the kids the other half when I got home.
I started to eat and drive from the parking lot.
I was sweating from the thermal and flavoring in the sub.
BEST Sub I have eaten in a long time.
Looking forward and coming again!

So for this being a solely Philly cheesesteak restaurant I’m very very unsatisfied. There steak I’d definitely frozen, actually is frozen. Nothing is fresh. They didn’t offer a kids menu. When you come into an establishment that is called «Philly-​osophy» and order a Philly cheesesteak you should take a bite of it and think «where have you been all my life» but no. i thought. «damn, I should of gone to subway»

OMG!!! I am speechless… this place is amazing — trust me when I tell you stop what you’re doing and get here now — if they are closed wait until they open… you will not be disappointed! I’m not sure what they put in their phillys but I am a believer and it will be tough for me to eat at another restaurant when I’m in Columbus — i had the shroomsteak and will try something different next time I’m in — the guy I went with had the Italian stallion and said his was good as well — we got here right as they opened and there was already 2 other tables sat and waiting for their food — by the time we left the place was packed with customers ranging from firefighters, families and business execs — I can’t wait until my work brings me back up here so I can try something else and continue to be blown away!

Best phillys in the country in my opinion.

Very good, ordered just a large cheesesteak with home made chips, it was so good. The atmosphere was also very nice right on the uptown strip, we ate at a outside table on a warm evening and had areal nice time. The staff was also very polite and dealt with my very undecided wife in a patient way. We will be returning for more.

Had the southwestern Philly cheesesteak per the waitresses recommendation. It was delicious! The house chips were alright… I don’t think mine were seasoned. The only thing that could have made the steak better is a bit more meat… the ends of bun didn’t have any meat in them.
The wait wasn’t bad considering I went during the lunch rush hour. Service was friendly and on point.
All in all I was very pleased with Philly co. Its about as good of a steak as you can get outside of Philadelphia. Will definitely go back when im in town and craving a cheesesteak.

I love this place! I always get the average joe and have never had any complaints. Pure yummyness! The waitstaff is always friendly and on top of it! I never have to wait for drink refills even when it’s busy. I definitely recommend this place!

Came at a very busy time, lunch. They were super nice and trying very hard to please. I think they were short handed and could have used help.
Ok the food was ok not great not bad was expecting more., they should stick with more of a Philly theme and fix the flow.

, I cannot state it tastes like one from there. But, I can say this is the best, fresh to order cheesesteak I have had to date. Skylar created mine, along with a side of their fresh, house made chips. They were not greasy, nice and
server, sadly I forgot her name, she was über friendly and great. Treated me like I was the most important person there. Even though it was so hot outside, their A/​C was wonderful. That nice, fresh hot philly was great. Well worth the trip. Highly

Im just going to go ahead and say it. Best Philly I have ever had. I was really upset when philly connection started going out of business because I really like cheese steaks and its hard to find a place with a good one. This place rocks. All good ingredients. The cheese was melted into the sandwich and not clumped in one place like others. We met the owner and I made sure to tell him never to change anything. Service and décor were all great and our food was brought out very fast. Great job!
