Breakfast way over priced. Stack of 5 pancakes are gone replace with stack of 3 for almost the same price. If you want 1 pancake it us $ 2.39. Ridiculous. So 4 pancakes, bacon, English muffin, and hot tea came to $ 16.29 and I didn’t get kissed. Waitress never advised about price of one pancake. They are also smaller than they used to be.

We went to Perkin’s Restaurant it is just off I70 and Hilliard Rome Rd. About two months ago, service was very slow, we actually felt we were being ignored at first, slow service continued an it was not busy, the servers had plenty of time to stand and chat with each other. The food was adequate but was like warm at best, hot foods were barely warm, cold foods were only slightly cool. It as our first and probably our last experience at Perkins for years, but not nearly as good as when we used to go to Perkins several years ago before we relocated back to COLUMBUS. My only positive comments on Perkins is they are 24⁄7 so maybe we were there on a really bad day. Try it for yourselves but«you pays your money, you take your chances» best of luck! Dan

mmm Scrambler Came in on a sleepy friday for some breakfast. The scrambler looked to my liking so ordered it up with pancakes. It was amazing, the eggs were cooked well and the potatoes were seasoned and the right texture. The pancakes were tasty as well. I was surprised at how well this chain executed these common dishes.

They’re open 24 hours which is a big plus. I’m not sure where the mediocre reviews are coming from because the service is excellent and the food is great. I eat here fairly regularly.

Pancakes are the best… ever. Service for me has always been great. The night and early morning staff are always friendly and on the money with my orders.

Been their a few times, and nothing really notable. Nothing standing out, but nothing was bad either. Average to good service, and average value. The décor could be tidied up a bit, but its not bad. Id go back, but its not on my «must return» list.

Nothing too spectacular going on here, but nothing negative either. Friendly staff who know the menu and happy to accommodate requests. I suspect this place is better for breakfast than dinner, but the desserts cabinet was seriously enticing.

Service here is pretty hit & miss. Though its never once been above and beyond. Most of the time the wait staff is bored or tired. They are rarely interested in being friendly or helpful. The food is alright, though if you want to deviate from the menu at all you’re really going to roll the dice. Eggs never come out cooked properly, and«traditionally» cooked items like their eggs Benedict aren’t cooked traditionally at all. It took three times to get my wife’s order correct this weekend. They weren’t busy, but our server, who later claimed to be a manager was amazingly bored for the whole thing, even when we had to send the order back repeatedly. That, and not a single thing was done for our trouble beyond a very lazy apology. We’ll probably be back, but it’ll be awhile.

I got suckered in with the usual 20% coupon and enjoyed ok food other than the old fruit with sub par service. Please see the pics attached.

The sink in the men’s bathroom is completely broken… I hope the male employees have another place to wash hands. Don’t eat here. Gross.

I hadn’t been here in quite a while, mainly because it’s such a long drive from the north end of town. But I really was craving their blueberry pancakes. So I drove out and had a small order of those plus a side of link sausage. The grand total was still under $ 10 and they haven’t lost their touch. The pancakes were just as good as always.

This place barely gets by. The food tastes pretty good but the patrons and the staff are gross. Just a sketchy scene. A bunch of rootin tootin racist country folk and the entire staff seems unwashed, missing teeth, grungy folk. So, good food and crappy environment.

I had a great breakfast here. I ordered bananas foster pancakes off a limited time menu. They were so so good… The bananas foster«sauce» was amazingly awesome and the pancakes were cooked to perfection. They came with two eggs and two slices of bacon and hash browns… Tons of food… All good especiAlly the hash browns. The bacon was a little smallish but cooked crispy just the way I like it. My only complaint would be that my eggs were cooked medium instead of easy as I asked for… not a big deal as far as I’m concerned. The service was fast and friendly. The food came out quickly and hot. I liked that they give you an entire pot of coffee when you order some… No waiting for a warm up! Although the décor is not my style… the place was clean.

Pros: great breakfast, friendly staff, reasonable pricing. This is one of my favorite breakfast spots. I’ve only ever been here for breakfast but everything I’ve had is great. Eggs are always nicely prepared, the bacon is always scrumptious and the pancakes are awesome. The coffee is ok but they give you an entire pot at your table. Cons: the décor and restaurant are kind of dated. It’s been open for time. The weekends get very busy. The entry way gets very crowded. Whatever you do don’t try the apricot syrup… disgusting. I recommend this place as a great breakfast spot for a reasonable price. Great service!

Picture dirt roads in the backwoods of somewhere like Alabama and a doublewide trailer. The interior of the trailer adorned with country-cute wallpaper, a flowery border, hunter green carpet, and curio shelves topped with tacky objéts de décor and lots of fake brass hardware and you have the ambience set for a night out at Perkins. It was just a little too homey for me. I felt like I was sitting in someone’s living room… someone I don’t know, and I’m in their living room without their permission. I was waiting for an old lady in a nightgown and bunny slippers to appear, curlers in hair, and take my order. It’s also uncomfortably quiet in here – to the point where I didn’t feel like talking to my buddy because everyone could here what anyone said. We were also the only people under 85… and I felt underdressed. Yes, underdressed at Perkins, if there is such a state of being. So, I’d never been to a Perkins before, but last night we were sitting here at 8:30 and hadn’t had dinner and I was playing on my IPad on the couch and saw an article that Perkins’ chicken fingers were rated the best in the U.S. I’d never heard of this place and googled it and found one in Hilliard. Off we went… So we arrived at Perkins and were seated by a SUPERNICE waitress – actually I’d say this might be the best service I’ve ever had. Very friendly, very informative. We started with an order of «Dixie Dippers” – which are what they call chicken fingers here. They were nice and crisp and the batter was slightly sweet. They were served piping hot with honey mustard sauce. We also got some ranch. Verdict: not the best, but really good. Nice and moist in the middle, plump and juicy. I wasn’t keen on the honey mustard or the side of ranch we got. For the main event I got a «country club» sandwich. It was turkey, bacon, cheese and thousand island dressing on super buttery texas toast. This was a little too heavy and greasy for my liking, however, I think this sandwich would be amazing if you were drunk or extremely hungover. My friend raved about his chicken noodle soup – and it did look good. I probably won’t be back, it just wasn’t worth the trip into the depths of Hilliard, and the atmosphere inside made me uncomfortable. Not to mention it’s kind of expensive for what it is – $ 16 something to split an order of Dixie Dippers and a sandwich with fries. Service can’t be beat though, but this place just isn’t for me.

Not bad for what they are, but being a little pricer than Bob Evans and being slightly not as good, i think they are a bit overpriced. The store is clean, food is decent, service is good, staff is friendly. The one money rating Perkins got should be a two!

This is open 24⁄7 and located right off the highway. The inside is nice and the food was delicious. I also ordered extra food for carry out later and it still tasted good. You can’t drive directly from the main road into their lot. You have to take a side street by the Wendy’s and Red Roof Inn.

While the pancakes for breakfast are fantastic(and the muffins aren’t bad either), my deep, dark, dirty secret is that sometimes around 2−3am, if I’ve been up late working or I just can’t sleep, I’ll drive over there and bust my diet with a plate of potato pancakes, a bit of smoked sausage, and maybe a slice of pie if I’m REALLY having a bad day. The staff’s friendly, even at all hours of the Oh-My-God-What-Are-We-Doing-Up-This-Latening, and though service can be a little slow in the really wee hours, what exactly did you expect when you go somewhere at 3am? The menu and atmosphere are exactly what you’d expect from any Perkins around the country. It’s good, and it can be comforting, but this isn’t unique haut cuisine. Just relax and enjoy it for what it is.

I had breakfast with my family at Perkins over the weekend. I know it’s a chain, but there is only one restaurant directly in Columbus, so it is a unique dining experience. Whenever I eat at Perkins it takes me back to my childhood when you went out to breakfast with Mom and Dad, and breakfast in a restaurant meant a special occasion like a day at the Fair or an amusement park, or vacation. I guess that’s what nostalgia does to you. This restaurant gets very busy on the weekends, depending on the occupancy of the hotels at Rome Hilliard and I-70. Sunday wasn’t too bad. When you walk in — there’s a little basket of mini muffins for you to sample while you wait or proceed to your table. Our server was there immediately, and grabbed our drink orders. Perkins offers you a coffee pot, so your liquid caffeine is always next to you. I had the Bacon Classic Egg Favorite — two scrambled eggs, shredded hash browns, 4 slices of bacon, and 3 pancakes. Every thing was great — hot and tasty — the eggs were«omelette» like, firm but not over cooked(tell me of a breakfast place that makes scambled eggs like you do at home…). The real prize here is the pancakes — they are the lightest and fluffiest pancakes from any restaurant. They’re from a mix(like 95% of the restaurants out there), but boy they are the best — not too filling. My family’s meals included a crispy, fluffy belgian waffle and some eggs benedict served with basted eggs, fruit cup, and a fresh bakery blueberry muffin. All of their muffins have real fruit and are«cake like» — blueberry, apple cinnamon, carrot cake, banana nut, chocolate — the varieties vary. I’ve never tried the lunch and dinner menu at Perkins — mainly because I can’t eat there without having a muffin or pancakes. I give them 5 stars for the griddle and the bakery.
