Panda Express

Food was excellent and the service staff were beyond awesome. Fast, friendly, and inexpensive.

The food here is good, if they have food. The restaurant is frequently closed in the evening when its supposed to be open (sign on the door and online hours). The dining room closes early and they quit making food early. Going here past about 7:30pm is hit or miss. It’s too bad management can’t seem to get employees who keep the doors open and cook food.

They never have the entrees that I want and it makes me want to kill everyone. All I wanted was some damn honey walnut shrimp and sweet fire chicken but no. F this place

I got a bowl with fried rice and grilled teriyaki chicken at 12:30 on Saturday. It was the worst I have ever had at a panda. The Chicken and the rice were overcooked and tasted terrible. I could not eat it. I will never go back to that Panda Express.

My mother and I visited this Panda Express location a while back. The food was hard and greasy, and the woman who prepared our food and rang us up charged my mother for extra food for no reason. She also tried to charge me extra. She put about 8 or 9 pieces of Orange Chicken on my plate and I politely asked for a bit more. I always have Orange Chicken for both of my entrees and chow mein as a side. She stared at me for about 5 seconds and then told me that she could add a little more, but anything else would be extra. I’ve been to Panda Express many times, and I know what a decent portion size of food looks like.

I was on James Road around lunchtime so I decided to drive out Broad Street a way to see if I could find a Chinese restaurant. So I made a left turn and sure enough there sat Panda Express on the right side of the street. I may have seen them before but today was my first actual visit. And I was stunned! A beautiul new store staffed with really helpful employees.
After browsing around, I ordered a plate of Beijing Beef and fried rice. The beef was cooked perfectly and was delicious. The fried rice was the best I have ever had in any Chinese restaurant. It had peas, carrots, and onions and was delicious! And my meal cost me $ 5.69. That wasn’t as good as it sounds because many Chinese restaurants offer a luncheon deal at that price point but none that I know off do it all day long. And the food here was better than 90% of the Chinese restaurants that I’ve been to.
The downsides, and why I only gave them four stars: No soup. Chintzy forks. And egg rolls that were $.50 higher than they needed to be. But I wish we had one in my part of town.

Food is fresh and hot, even though it’s served cafeteria style. Nice for when you”re hungry and want something to eat quick.

Yep, it’s Panda Express.
Let’s be real: most Panda Express restaurants are kinda terrible. But not this one! The people here are always incredibly friendly, the food is always freshly-​cooked, and the restaurant is spotless.
If you’re going to do chain American-​Chinese food, this is about as good as it gets.
Whew, revealing my secret really takes a load off.

If you’re looking for Americanized Chinese food that’s fast, fresh, taste great, and is modestly priced, Panda Express is where you need to go!
This particular location is very good. The staff is nice, and you get your food very quick. Everything is very fresh and cooked to greatness. The orange chicken, Beijing beef, and honey walnut shrimp are my personal favorites on the menu.
I will definitely eat here again.

Really good food, it’s fresh. Had walnut shrimp & the shrimp was actually crispy, not like reheat that you get at so many other places, The staff was very friendly & it really clean.

The food was way to greasy and it was old. rude staff don’t waste your money here.

Panda Express is the crowning achievement of Americanized Chinese food.
For under $ 7 a person, you can get a two entrée, one side platter and drink which is more than filling. Between my wife and I we tried four different entrees and two sides, all was good, although the chow mein side tasted a little smoky (which I believe was attributed to the gratuitous use of sesame oil).
Service is fast, very fast. The food is fresh, and you can see right into the kitchen to see that it’s clean, well maintained and stocked. Minus the limited selection of the menu compared to other Chinese digs, this place is top rank in my book.
TIP — they carry sobe, peach green and raspberry iced teas in the fountain, great idea!
