This is a pretty good thrift store. The selection is huge and they quality of the items seems better than most — a lot of items still have the original price tags, and the prices can’t be beat! The only thing keeping this from being a 4 star review is the way they’re organized… All of the clothing is organized by type(pants, shirts, jackets… etc) and then by quality(good, better) and then by color. Nothing is organized by SIZE! They’ve got about 80 gazillion pairs of «women’s better black pants.» Honestly, I stopped looking after I got a few pairs in because it would have taken me all day to find anything. So that being said, don’t come here if you’re on a time-crunch. If you have a leisurely few hours to kill looking for something non-specific, this is the place for you.

Great store! Staff so pleasant! And prices were awesome! Sure don’t get that in CA! Thanks for making my day!

I come here at least once a week looking for treasures. You will find an occasional deal but for the most part their prices are ridiculous. Sometimes higher than brand new. And the staff is incredibly rude! Always rude.

I like exploring Thrift Stores. I feel like they tend to have a lot of personality! I had an hour to kill and headed over to Ohio Thrift. One of my favorite things to look at is the books. Ohio Thrift has a pretty large selection of books — several rows! Compared to the Goodwill on High St., this is spectacular! However, I looked at the books, and the quality just wasn’t there. I am an avid reader, and I walked away with no books at all(which is pretty rare for me). If you’re into Twilight, however, you will have your pick! I saw books ranging from $ 1.99 to $ 2.99. I also like looking at DVDs and CDs and, one again, came up empty handed. They have a TON of VHS movies, but hardly any DVDs. For the things I’m interested in, this location is just okay. It was a good way to spend my lunch break, but not somewhere I’ll think of as a destination when I’m looking for books or movies! I’ll continue my search for a great thrift store in the area.

As far as men’s clothing goes, Ohio Thrift isn’t the greatest; you can find a better selection and cheaper prices at other thrift stores. But they do have some pretty good furniture, cheep of course – we’re not talking about Restoration Hardware here – but they have new and used, good for a student, or a rumpus room. They are willing to help you select like a salesman at Ashley’s ect. The recliner I got a bargain on a couple years ago for my– sigh, lack of a better phrase–«man cave,» has held up from abuse of Buckeye games and bad movies.(I really need to get a punching bag, or a sense of perspective.) They have a great selection of CDs, DVDs, and VHS; their children movie section is huge, for those uncles like me who yield ‘volunteered’ babysitting duties to the television. They have some vintage electronics; manly boom boxes and multi-disk players – artifacts from the 1990s. Nothing though, that will get along with MP3. No record players– which is on my thrift store hunt list; no receivers at all generally – and when they do, they are not computable to my TV and games ect. I need to replace my Best Buy cheapo that can’t last as long as low end furniture.(can’t blame bad coaching or hack directing on that one.) Really clean store that seems like a general retailer and not a thrift place. It is a 7 n a scale if 10.

I should warn, I’m not the biggest fan of thrift stores. I find them overwhelming. But this one is not too bad to peruse through. There are a ton of items including furniture; nice looking furniture at that. We donated some items recently and the process was quite easy and the staff was really pleasant(I don’t think I’ve ever seen such nice employees at a thrift store). If you’re into thrift shopping, I think you would very much like this place.

I love thrifting. When a friend told me about this location and that they had lots of appliances, I checked it out on a Saturday morning. They do have lots of appliances, some up front and most in the back. I found a Food Network food processor still in the box for $ 40. I also found a little hot plate for a coffee mug for $ 2. Unfortunately, I didn’t find anything else. I thought the clothing was overpriced. When I got home I found there was only a mug in the box, no warmer. Ugh! I’ve used the food processor several times and always struggle with the lid. Now I know why someone donated it. I’ll still frequent other Ohio Thrift stores, but I’m not crazy about this one.

I dropped by here while on my way to Sunrise to pick up some groceries. I was really surprised at the amount of new items that were for sale. There is a large section of new but discounted furniture up front. As Teri D. noted, there are«better» sections on each of the clothing racks, and clothes are sorted by size, which is great for me! In housewares, there were a lot of new, boxed items, including dishes, laundry soap, paper goods, cleaning supplies, lotions, beauty supplies. It was really more like a Big Lots than a thrift store. There are two fitting rooms in the back near the restrooms. I didn’t have much time to browse, but I will definitely be coming back when I have some more time. There are three different sale colors, all the way up to 75% off. Update: They’ve moved stuff around a bit. There is a large section of books now near the front, but the prices range from $ 3 – 6(even for paperbacks). I can get books for cheaper and in better condition at HPB. Favourite finds so far: — Made-in-England wool military greatcoat, $ 8

Never even noticed this until I had come out of a nearby store and decided to go in on a whim. Am I ever glad I did too!!! Very nicely laid out store with a section in the very front of new furniture. Racks and displays are set up well with signs telling you what sizes and what they consider«better» items. Big signs on the walls explaining the color coding of the price tags, as in this color means an extra percent off the listed price. I have never seen so many leather coats and jackets in a thrift store in my life but when I went to the ladies blazers/jackets I found IT!!! For $ 7.00 I found an Escada wool jacket. I giggled all the way up to the register. Such a find!!! I am so going back here periodically to see what other hidden gems I may find. Oh wait! Scratch everything I said — you don’t want to go here!(mine! mine! all mine!!!)
