I’d rather have Ryan Stettler serving them up cold to me than that mohawked homo that overcharged my credit card last night after I blacked out.

This place is pretty bad. It’s cavernous. There’s no real theme. Is it a sports bar? Is it a concert venue? I don’t know. The drafts are all two bucks, but they’re out of everything decent, and«decent» is charitable. Our server stopped working while we were there and no one told us until I went to the bar half an hour later. So the beer, the service, and the atmosphere suck. I hear the food is good though. Hopefully this is the«before» of a «before and after» review. I know Woodlands just bought the place, and I love Woodlands, so hopefully they’ll turn it around over the next few months and my followup review can be glowing.

This bar is in walking distance for me, so it serves it’s purpose. Happy hour used to go till 8, now it goes till seven. Loose goose ale used to be 1.25 now it is 1.75. They used to have really good pizzas and a one topping was only 5 bucks during happy hour. Recently the kitchen was bought by Romeo’s pizza. Right now there is no food specials.(maybe they eventually will again, who knows) I ordered boneless wings with an Asian sauce… sauce came on the side… I had to literally roll them in the sauce myself… and was charged .75 cents for ranch. Service here is absolutely awful… usually I sit at the bar and half the time I have to flag the bartender down to get me a drink. They are usually texting or flirting with each other in the corners. Service on the floor is not any better… usually have to ask for a server every single time. They will come by every blue moon. I think anyone who has ever been here can agree with this. Oh ya, bartenders are always taking shots with customers too! Sure those are being paid for(; Place serves it’s purpose for being across the street from me… but if I lived elsewhere I wold never make the journey to visit!

Very spacious with lots of volleyball courts. Courts do need a little more separation or netting put up, but I am sure that will come. Owner has some great ideas for this place. I have only come to play volleyball during the week. I have not tried the food yet.

Meh. Went on Saturday at 11:00 for a noon game, so we got there right as they were opening up. Our waitress brought us menus right away, but didn’t come to take our order for at least twenty minutes. I understand they were still doing the prep to open, but that should be done before you unlock the doors for business. We ordered a couple buckets of beer and wings and not once did the waitress come to see how we were doing. We had to flag her down each time. In her defense she was the only waitress working, but there were no more than four other tables. The wings were actually pretty good, but when you fry chicken and toss it in a sauce made from butter and hot sauce its pretty hard to screw up. Icing on the cake was that the whole space was freezing cold — I’m talking goosebumps cold with jeans and a long-sleeve shirt on. They were out of soap in the ladies room by 1:00 pm. Shouldn’t that have been checked in the pre-open prep?! It’s a shame because while the location is in the middle of nowhere, the space is pretty nice once you are inside. I guess in a pinch it would do the job. Just don’t go hungry or thirsty.

As my star rating suggests, I’m still on the fence about this place. I play in a sand volleyball league there and the courts are nice, well lit and the sand is good. The downsides are as follows: –Low to no music to enjoy while on the courts. There are speakers but its like they are an afterthought.(As a music fanatic, I like the energy it brings!!) –While I’m not bothered too much by this, some people might find it an inconvenience to grab a drink in between games, etc. given the proximity of the bar to the courts. –The organization of the leagues timing/scheduling is complete chaos. Constantly changing, conflicts, payment errors. It’s a bit of a headache. BUt I’m optimistic and hope this is just part of the trial and error process. –Bar service is ‘eh’. If you’re helped at all it’ll be a while whether the bar appears to be busy OR slow. I’ve been there maybe 10 times and I’ve had 2 good service experiences. On the upside, the place is spacious and has plenty of potential! Word is they’re putting in a pool… I’m starting to enjoy this place but my hope is that it doesn’t turn into a Bachelor-Pad-esque-type-reality-show-bar where moral compasses are(apparently) broken and I leave wondering ‘WHORAISEDTHESEPEOPLE???’(like that ‘other’ pool bar in Cbus). Don’t get me wrong readers, I like to have fun but geez where are the limits these days! Onto more important things… The food I have had is decent bar food and drink prices are very reasonable. The staff is also very nice despite the(sometimes) slow service. The patrons vary in age for sure but I have struck up many interesting conversations with some good people, leaving with new friends more often than not. I am happy to update the star rating after more consistently positive experiences. I am anxious to see this place work out all the kinks!

This place is all about location, and if you’re living at the Arbors Watermark it serves its purpose, especially with decent happy hour prices. Otherwise, look elsewhere. My main problems are 1) downtown pricing after happy hour($ 3.50-$ 4.00 beers) and 2) EXTREMELYLOUD music. I can’t even hear myself think in there, it’s louder than even the most generic of downtown bars such as Brothers, Gaswerks. WAYYYYYYY too loud, everyone I talked with agrees its the main issue. I think they believe that if you play loud enough music it will seem hip/cool.

I love the huge patio! plenty of outdoor space! I feel a little old in with the crowd that was there when I went but I don’t mind. Beer was good! wings(hot) would stand against Roosters any-day and waitress was perfect Sunday when we were there. I was there Saturday also and they were pretty busy so service was a little slower then but to be expected. Ill defiantly be going back and try some more menu Items.

It has all the ingredients to get you drunk but isn’t a place that you’re dying to return to. Big picnic style tables that accommodate a lot of people… but you’re inside so that’s a little weird. There’s a DJ(he looked pretty hot from my vantage point but then again I wasn’t wearing my contacts) w/an awkward not really dedicated dance floor — just the floor between tables. Music was fine, just too loud — had to yell into peoples’ ears. Clean bathrooms(for now as they’re new) without lines. Cheap drinks but wouldn’t order anything beyond the basics. All their drinks end in really awkward cents — like $ 3.27 for a Budlight, which is annoying as hell if you’re paying cash. I generally hate opening tabs(out of fear of forgetting my card, getting my number stolen), but this is a place where it’d be more convenient to do so. Crowd is meh. All chick bartenders w/wife beater tanks that were cool circa 2004 – 2005 era w/Loose Goose logo. Wearing jorts in the dead of winter. Pretty sure 80% of the people here live across the street at the Watermark. I came here for a friend of a friend’s 30th birthday party and as a vibrant 26 year old, I felt almost too old here so I can only imagine how the other attendants felt. It’s also located right behind a gas station which only adds to sketchiness. Lots of parking though and I suppose the location is alright — right off 670 along Dublin Rd. Downside is there are no other bars within walking distance for those like myself who can’t stay at the same bar for more than 2 hours without getting antsy.

Please get better Goose… A friend and I went here for drinks after work and were sorely dissapointed. The service was downright awful, first off I was told they had strongbow… after a fifteen minute wait I was told they didnt have it… we waited forever for our food and then waited almost 30 min for the check after that. The servers just seemed to stand around talking. The food was… boring and plain. Thats the nicest way I could put it. The nachos were awful, chips with some cheese dirzzled on and some meat underneath… just awful. The wings were good but swimming in sauce, and not in a good way. Greasy sauce. And the tacos were boring and plain, no homemade salsa or anyhting, just a boring soft taco. Tables are big, we had a string of decorations fall on us though… This place needs to step it up with food and service or they’ll be going out of business fast… it has potential, but whoever is in charge needs to make some serious changes I for one will not reccomend it to any of my coworkers now…

Bar is still in its opening phases, but it has a lot of promise. The happy hour is long and cheap, but surprisingly the food is great and the service is too. I see some people reviewed that it wasn’t so good, but for a place that just opened its probably gonna happen. Our server didn’t know the menu that well, but she was sweet and did what she could to help us while being very attentive to our needs. Go here for the OSU games, the late nights are fun, and lunch at the bar is great, the bartenders seem to really care and the two tall guys I met were very funny. I’ve been going since it opened, and I don’t see that changing.

Went to Loose Goose on Saturday night around 8:30-ish with a group of friends as a last ditch effort to go somewhere with cheap drinks where we could sit and talk. It seemed ok at first, not too crowded or loud, had big tables and was pretty clean. Then the waitress came, and maybe she was new, but she didn’t seem to know very much about alcohol or what drinks they had. We asked if there were any drink specials and she said at 9 they had $ 3 margaritas and $ 3 hurricanes, so we had to wait about 30 minutes for that. So I asked if they had any hard ciders like Strongbow or Woodchuck and was met with a blank stare. Then she said that the darkest beer that they carried was Amstel… I have no idea how that answered my question about hard ciders. So I settled for wine, and when I asked what kind of red wine they had, she said, «I think we have merlot.» so I just went with the merlot. My friend ordered a strawberry daiquiri and 10 minutes later the waitress came back and said they don’t have daiquiris, so my friend went with the merlot too. Then every 5 minutes she came back to check on us. Once 9 o’clock came around, suddenly the bar got REALLY loud. They started blasting the basketball game and every commercial. I know some people think sports are awesome, but was it necessary to have the volume up THAT high? Call me a crotchety old lady, but it was too loud. We started in on the $ 3 margaritas and I was surprised at how tiny and watered down they were. I know they were only $ 3, but I expected something a little better. Then it got really crowded, and around 9:15 our waitress was no where to be found. We waited for around 30 minutes and still she didn’t come around, so we set out to search for her to let her know we wanted out checks. There was a small issue with my drink being put on my friends bill, and she apologized for that, so no worries there. It did take a loooong time for us to get our cards and receipts back though, which was annoying. So basically, I wasn’t impressed with Loose Goose. I think I’ll stick to Brazen Head on 5th ave which has hard ciders, better service and doesn’t blast sports and commercials at you.

If you like Brothers in the arena distract, you’ll find it a gem. If you don’t, then Loose Goose will feel very out of place for the Grandview scene. Mostly people in the mid-twenties who wished they were at clubs, but settled for this joint. Speaking of joints, it seemed like this was a great place for patrons to jump to the patio, hop the rails & sneak off behind some tress to do their thing. Also, music was loud(which isn’t really a problem), but they were blaring some Katy Perry(again, not a problem) while a band was set up ALSO playing along with the song(problem). Sounded horrible. If I visit again, it will be against my will.

Gem in the rough with lots potential. The atmosphere is still under construction. Is due to open next week officially. They are even planning to have volleyball here during the summer. Can’t wait to visit again
