Lazeeza Mediterranean Restaurant & Cafe

This place is the worst Mediterranean restaurant that I’ve been to. To start off, the windows were FILTHY! Repeat that several times. We ordered a platter and then were told they were out of lamb. How the hell does a middle eastern restaurant run out of lamb? So we took a substitute of shrimp which were tough as hell. The bottom line is that the first two problems should have clued us in and we should have left and wen’t to Nazereth which is right around the corner.

Excellent hummus! and the chicken shwarmas sandwiches are terrific. They are so large we usually buy one and split it.
The décor is nice and the service is prompt and friendly. A very nice place for a good meal at a reasonable cost.

Seriously, I’ve never seen so much food. «Feeds 2−4» more like 4 – 6. Take a look at my pictures to see the kinds of stuff you can expect — three types of hummus, baba ghanoush, falafel, fattoush, another Arabic salad, lentil soup, a naan type bread, and then there’s the main entrée which, in my case, was a kofte style kebab plus rice. Food-​wise, I wish I could give this place 3.5 stars. It wasn’t mediocre but I’ve had better. The service, however, was really excellent. The server was extremely friendly, and explained what each dish was. She was very attentive, and clearly wanted us to enjoy ourselves. The restaurant itself is also super clean and very nicely decorated (I liked the granite table tops). I’d go again if I was in the area.
