Summary: Happy to help, fast maintenance, no unexpected fees or abuse of security deposit, appropriations (for situations out of their control) when reasonable but not required by them.
I lived at both the View on Fifth and the View on High (both managed by Hometeam Properties) and I had a great experience at both when it comes to Hometeam. When I signed my lease, I had read a number of bad reviews and expected the worst when it comes to the management company trying to use their weight to soak up every last penny they could at the expense of the customer. The lease kind of looked that way, so I added in some defensive amendments to slightly help my case if needed.
To my happy surprise, the defensive amendments weren’t needed at all. The leasing agents (there are typically one or two at each property) were extremely reasonable and went out of their way to make appropriations when reasonable but not required by them. For example, I was set to move from the View on Fifth to the View on High early in 2015. The construction (outside of the control of Hometeam — the management company) took months longer than expected. As I would have otherwise been able to park at the View on High which is right next to campus, they paid for a monthly parking pass during the delay so that I wouldn’t be burdened by the delay. Small things like that weren’t required by them, but helped them gain my trust and my appreciation. In regard to maintenance issues, they typically had their on-​site handyman out on the same day and were quick for most issues.
I highly recommend both the View on Fifth and View on High which are managed by Hometeam Properties and hope that their great service extends from these properties to the individual houses and apartments they manage as well.

The worst, most vile, company I’ve ever had to deal with. Unethical, unprofessional liars. They not only illegally enter your property, but they lie and mislead their tenants. Do not rent from this company.
