Very good sushi and wide selection. I ordered the Carla’s roll, the crazy Sarah and the Father. They were all tasty.
The server was pretty nice too.
The service was a lot faster than when it used to be Satuma. the overall experience was great.

Gross and overpriced. A colleague and I went for lunch to give it a try since they were under new ownership. I had a lunch combo with beef teriyaki. The beef teriyaki, this is where the gross comes in, was sitting in a pool of liquid that when serves was already separated into an oily and watery slop. The taste was as bad as it looked, the taste was what i imagine a sweaty gym sock would taste like. I could go on for another ten mins on the other issues with my colleague’s meals, but I will save you the time: it was bad. $ 12 and some change for my lunch and I left hungry because I couldn’t eat most of the combo. The only item on the combo that was good was the pot sticker with a little goyza sauce. The service as adequate.

I love this place! They recently reopened with new ownership. The sushi is FRESH and they have tons of variety! The ambiance is great and feel authentic. Wonderful to get out and see a different setting in Columbus. The local Asian community is always eating here too. Don’t sleep on the secret sushi and Thai spot here in Columbus.

My sister in law raved; my wife and I were not so moved. Sake was cold. Never got my requested water and her Diet Coke came out a regular Coke. Tempura dishes were soggy. The chicken in my bento box tasted like it was from a cold cut counter. Rice was good and the sauces were flavorable; just too bad the meat and veggies were not so good too.
EDIT: ordered a side item and the guy brought it out 20 minutes later. I sent it back; we were all already done. Still waiting on my bill; decided to demerit him a star for that.

Hisui is the new Satuma. In fact, you can order off of the old Satuma menu if you want. I’m not sure what the story is there…
I got the Crazy Sarah Roll after a friend recommended it. Good choice. Delicious. One of the best rolls I’ve had. My friends all seemed to enjoy their meals too.
Great service, great menu, great vibes but I still prefer the atmosphere and bar at Taku. This is my second choice for sushi in town.
