Havenwood Townhomes

I also wish I could leave no stars for this complex. Want to live in one of the worst complexes in Columbus? Havenwood Townhomes will not let you down!
This apartment complex was recently under the name of Metro West Apartments and has been purchased by Havenwood Townhomes. I currently live here and am trying to get out as soon as possible; it’s terrible. My move out date cannot come fast enough.
The management and staff at the office is absolutely terrible. They’re unprofessional, rude, and unresponsive to tenant’s needs. If you submit a maintenance request, you can expect it to take 2 – 3 weeks to be fixed. Also, when maintenance does finally show up, you better be waiting at the door. Once, my spouse was upstairs when they arrived and heard the knock, shouted he would be right there. He arrived at the door 30 – 60 seconds later, and maintenance had already left. I have had this same problem, being in the shower when they arrive and them leaving. We had to then wait another 3 weeks for them to come back to fix our problem. Another complaint about maintenance is that when they come, they leave your apartment filthy because of their shoes. They also use your personal items like bathroom scale, toilet, etc.
Also, the office will post notices on your door about unit inspections, preventative pest control, furnace replacement and parking lot maintenance and to prepare yourself, and they never come and/​or post the notices very late at night. Once there was a notice posted to have all vehicles out of the lot by 7am or violators would be towed, we got this notice at 11:54pm. Many people got towed.
The complex was remodeled very VERY cheaply, the parking lot and speed bumps are in poor condition, and there is an excessive amount of children. They re-​tar without postings, once I got tar all over my front right tire and had to have it in for service to be removed it was so bad. It made my car undrive-​able. The shower in my unit is a joke. It has a tub but the three walls surrounding it just have shower boards, which is pealing off the walls. Water leaks outside onto my patio every time anyone takes a shower. In regards to the parking lot, there are pot holes everywhere, broken glass, buildings are not marked with numbers, street signs are missing, speed bumps are too high and/​or uneven. Its extremely difficult for people to come visit your apartment, they never know where to go.
Lastly, the worst, there are always children invading your personal space. Many kids play together outside, meaning RIGHT outside your window until late at night. They are not monitored by their parents whatsoever so they will be outside playing, screaming, crying until 10pm-​11pm; sometimes later. Also, these children know no boundaries. I’ve found toys and items in my back patio area, which is supposed to be private. Also, if I leave my front first floor window open, they come right up to the screen and look in. It is absolutely outrageous and so invasive.
On top of all this, it is in a bad area. We purchased ADT and have already had a break in. You cannot really go outside and go for a walk, as it is right across from the Hollywood Casino and Georgesville Rd has a lot of traffic and is loud. Every night you can hear traffic from 270 from your bedroom.
Fitness center is not air conditioned so it’s essentially unusable, and the pool is closed until further notice.
Also, I hope you want to hear your neighbors constantly, because I’ve never experiences walls this thin. I can hear my neighbors word for word having conversations at normal volume.
Overall, I cannot wait to move. For over $ 700/​month, it is NOT worth it! Please look elsewhere!
