Grandad’s Pizza

There was a small complication but the employees were nice and helpful. I’ve had the food before and know it is delicious.

delivery time is always reasonable. pizza is always good. I’ve never been unsatisfied with anything that I have ordered. I recommend the chicken bacon ranch pizza. So good!

Great food, love the wings, so much better than the weird tiny wings those places around campus sell. Ordered the taco pizza once and the veggie pizza once. TOTALLY AWESOME.

Thin crust. Almost no oil. Generous toppings. Delicious sauce! Have been a fan of this place since I discovered it a few months ago. Although I have only ever tried the pizzas and garlic bread, I’ve never had a reason to complain. My go to pizza place!

Grandmas is better, faster and cheaper. First time. I ordered online and they were 45 min late on a Wed at 7pm. Not much flavor. Won’t order again. Pizza Hut is better as well.

This place is a joke. Horrible pizza. Horrible service. Discrimination galore. Never eat here.

I was in town for work and ordered a pizza for delivery from them and it arrived exactly when promised. Being near the OSU campus, of the 4 – 5 times I’ve ordered pizza from different restaurants, this is the only one who’s delivered on time.
Also, I had the Buffalo Chicken Pizza. It was very hot and tasty. None of that sweet buffalo sauce from these folks, this pie was spicy! My mouth and lips were numb after a few pieces!
Excellent food and service, I’d gladly order from them again.

Everyone has a few go-​to pizza spots, and Grandads is definitely one of ours. We first discovered it a few years ago as part of the 5xNW pizza crawl (back when that was a thing worth doing). And even though we’d hit pizza overload, it stood out as being a step above your usual pie.
It’s the typical thin crust tavern cut pizza you find around Columbus. But the crust is just a bit better, so it really distinguishes itself from the other places serving a similar style.
If you’re looking for something really exceptional, get the buffalo chicken version. Of all the spicy buffalo style pizzas I’ve had, theirs is hands down the best. It’s usually quite spicy, sufficiently so that my brow is starting to sweat just thinking about it! It’s served with a side of ranch or blue cheese though, so that helps cut the heat. (Although they forgot mine last time we ordered. *sad face*)

Pretty damn good. Can’t go wrong with the service at Byrne’s Pub, the food is consistently delicious. I had an incident where they goofed up my delivery order but they refunded my purchase and still delivered my missing food on another occasion. They serve up a cracker crust, use medium quality ingredients, and the sauce is nothing too crazy but, if you’re looking for consistently awesome service and consistent pizza, this is the place. Great drunk food.

Good quality cheese and toppings, and the crust isn’t too thick which I like. Sauce is slightly sweet. They’re also very friendly there. Once, they messed something up with my order, but they fixed it quickly and gave me the whole order free. I couldn’t believe it. They have a couple basic brands of beer for takeout to complete your pizzabeer experience.

Best pizza around. And dont forget to all those who live in the Hilliard/​Dublin area there is now a Grandads in our area! Its a must try

I’ve had a day off work today and felt like just laying around the house but hunger has officially taken over so now I’m on my quest for some food. I’m feeling pizza right now and have been looking up a couple places on here and based on the prices and location I’m going with Grandad’s Pizza. The reviews are in it’s favor so I don’t feel like I’m taking a huge risk here, I’m ordering a large pepperoni pizza, and after the delivery fee the total is 14.75, which already isn’t a bad price. Paid for by card from their website at 15:51, and it says that the delivery should be here at 16:31, so there’s a 40 minute window form them to prep and get it here. Also, that’s a pretty decent time frame considering the cost so I’m already feeling good about this.
Their online website isn’t exactly the most clearly navigated interface ever, but the fact that this place even has a website is already something that puts it above competitors in my opinion. There aren’t pictures of every single thing, the content is pretty plain but I really like that myself. It works, I don’t have to call and I also don’t have to go out in public in my pajama pants and see people. So, yes, I’m not complaining.
The pizza just showed up and it’s 16:26, so it came a few minutes before the expected delivery time. By 16:34 I have literally eaten half of this pizza by myself and it is absolutely delicious. Thin crust, the right about of chees, crunchy pepperonis, some sort of otherworldly sauce. I think I’ve finally learned what love is, and I think I’m going to keep this place one a list of regular hit spots.

This is my favorite pizza in Columbus. Something about their sauce is just perfect.
Plus, they deliver beer til 1 AM. Can’t beat that!
Only negative is they are a tad pricey and have a $ 2.50 delivery fee.

This is for their Italian Subs: the bread was light and crispy, almost like a pizza crust. Generous amounts of meat and veggies. My only negative was I wish they would make their own Italian dressing.
Their pizza is excellent as well.

I’m not sure why I haven’t written a review on Grandad’s before, because it’s my favorite place to order pizza. Many of you may know this as the pizza place next to Byrne’s Pub in Grandview, but it deserves to be recognized as so much more than that. My roommate will debate this with me all day, since he likes Sicilian crust pizza, but I’m sticking with Grandad’s. It’s been three years, since I drunkenly tried the pepperoni and onion pizza for the first time, and I’ve loved them ever since.
I really love the fact that I can order online from this location, especially so I can review my order to make sure I didn’t screw anything up (which I still somehow did the last time, but that’s my own fault). They are really quick when it comes to delivery, like half hour or less usually even on the weekends. The crust is super crispy and the sauce is delicious.
My favorite pizza from them is the Buffalo chicken, but be careful because the hot sauce they use instead of the marinara can be really damn hot. I liked to add jalapenos to it, and combining those with the hot sauce and eating way too many pieces can light your mouth ablaze, but it’s just so addicting! You can get a side of ranch or blue cheese to cool it down though.
Considering the price and quality of the pizza, this has to be one of the best deals in town. The style is that of Donato’s, but I just think it’s so much better. They have a couple locations, and I can’t speak for those, but I would definitely give them a try if you’ve never had the pizza.

I’m new to the area & my gf & I were looking to try a new pizza place instead of the big chains. I was very skeptical as most pizza places don’t impress me. I was also uneasy about it being thin crust as I love a nice doughy pie crust.
Anyway, the pizza was super good! I got pepperoni, onion, mushroom & black olive on my side, plain cheese on gf’s side. The toppings were very plentiful, the sauce was tasty & not dull or flavorless. The toppings were very fresh & nicely cut. The crust was crisp, yet not dry or too hard.
We also got a large garden salad. It was pretty big which I liked. It contained pepperonis, green pepper, onion & banana peppers. The dressings are standard sized marzetti packets. Not a gourmet salad whatsoever, but it was fine for a quick delivery salad.
We ordered through the Unilocal app, called the place to make a last minute addition to our order, but one employee couldn’t find our order. I call back myself & a diff person answered; he had no idea either at first, then finally figured out how we ordered it & found our order.
Final thoughts: Delicious pizza, fast delivery time, friendly staff & delivery service. My cons would be the staff having next to know clue the technology they have for ppl to order their food, & them being out of Cesar dressing. Oh & there’s an unmentioned $ 2.00 delivery fee you don’t see until you check out.

Okay, there are a lot of pizza places in the 5xNW area but I’ve yet to find a place that nails quality, taste, and price that Grandad’s pizza delivers. Their sauce is not too sweet, they provide you with a ton of toppings and their staff is super friendly. This has been my go-​to pizza place for years.

Okay Donatos lovers. This is the REAL deal not the highly processed FROZEN pizzas of Donatos. Did you know that? They put FROZEN pizzas in the pizza oven for your enjoyment.
Now on to Granddads. Coming from Chicago I can be a pizza bitch. I was certain I would move here and talk down about the «pizza» Columbus was churning out. I was mind blowingly WRONG! Columbus has this great thin crust, crisp, pepperonis curled up, a little burn on the edges doubling as a little grease bowl pizza that is AWESOME and Granddads is my favorite example of that. Very closely followed by Anges Pizza. Everyone that this Chicago boy has turned onto this pizza LOVES it.

BEST PIZZA IN COLUMBUS!!!
I will forever compare all pizza to Grandads… and all will fail to compare.
Did I mention the deliver beer?
