Really enjoyed their dessert! I’ve almost always ordered in the evening and they still taste good. The icing may not be as smooth as when it was freshly put on, but I mash it down anyways and it taste just great!

I went to Gigi’s for the first time today after living in Columbus for almost four months, and I was pleasantly surprised. The variety of cupcake flavors available was extensive. The decorations are professional and gorgeous, and the taste of the cupcakes are delicious. Apparently, they are baked in shop same day. Staff was very friendly and attentive! The only negative comment I have is that the icing on the cupcakes had crusted a bit in the outside due to being exposed to the air. But then again, I purchased my cupcakes in mid afternoon so I know they weren’t as fresh as if I had purchased them earlier in the day. If you are looking to satisfy your sweet tooth, stop by!

I was in Columbus for the weekend and needed a place that had gluten free cupcakes for my wife’s birthday. Found Gigi’s cupcakes online, called them to ensure that they had the gluten free cupcakes I wanted. Placed the order online and picked them when I arrived in Columbus. The cupcakes were fantastic. The presentation was great, the selection was good and the taste of the cupcakes was outstanding. Chocolate chip cookie dough cupcake was awesome as was the banana cream cupcake. They were a little pricey but to me was worth it.

Not very tasty. They should seriously consider baking the cake on site. The cake is dry and the icing is trying to over compensate.

I can’t give Gigi’s one or two stars like the other reviewers because the variety pack we got had very high quality and delicious cupcakes. They were mini cupcakes, 12 of them in a pack– strawberry, wedding cake, and chocolate and they were very good. The icing was on point, not too sweet and not grainy at all. The cupcake cake itself was moist, but I do think that the cake may not be made on site. They are very pricey and for the population, I would definitely consider lowering the prices for the quality that is offered.

I wanted something sweet and since I was in the neighborhood I stopped at Gigi’s. I didn’t see the Red Velvet or the Banana Cream cupcake so I settled for the Rocky Road because I was told it had cream cheese icing. The icing was a two cupcakes higher than the the actual cake and the icing was waaaaaaay too sweet. For the life of me I never did get the cream cheese flavor from the icing. I was expecting to smell cupcake aroma when entering the store, but that wasn’t the case. That leads me to believe that the product is pre-made elsewhere and why it had such a artificial flavor.

Although I have enjoyed the cupcakes from Gigi’s for the most part, there is a LOT of room for improvement. I think they taste great but often do not taste freshly baked. My big complaint is that they often lack the full selection of menu items. I have been in more than once when all of one type of cupcake was gone by mid-afternoon. In July, they have been having $ 2 Tuesday and promoting it heavily via email. We went in close to closing time and there were only THREE cupcakes available, period. Not three types, three actual cupcakes all of one type. On a day when there is a big promotion, which I would assume is meant to attract customers, they should increase production to account for the added demand. Having some overage or waste is to be expected in any business and is surely built into the price of these expensive treats! UPDATE: At the time of this review, I also sent an email to Gigi’s via their website detailing my experience. Much to their credit, I was contacted by two different management employees via phone and email within 15 minutes of sending my email. Both of them were very apologetic and agreed that it was a problem and indicated that they were going to work with the store to make sure that a good selection of cupcakes is available, even at the end of the day. They offered several free cupcakes to make up for the trouble I’d experienced. I do feel confident that the company management will address the issue and I’m willing to give them another try.

Disappointing. I was very excited for this place to open but it has turned out to be very mediocre. First of all, gourmet cupcake shops usually sell larger cupcakes, especially at that price. I’ve also been told by friends who have been to other Gigi’s locations that they do sell the larger sized cupcakes and people that have been to other Gigi’s were surprised by what this one carried. I’m not sure if it’s the franchise owner’s independent decision to make them smaller but I believe it’s the same way with the other franchises they own in Auburn. Even more importantly, the cupcakes aren’t any good! The cake is dry and bland and with two of the cupcakes I’ve tried so far, the cakes were overcooked. One was burnt around the edges making the cake so hard that it was edible. They looked pretty but don’t let the appearance deceive you. The shop itself was kind of boring and lacking in ambience. This is sad — we were looking forward to a fun, trendy, delicious cupcakery. They could take a few cues from Crumbs Bake Shop – now those are amazingly delicious cupcakes!
