I’ve been wanting to try Gigi’s since it opened a couple of months ago. It was my boyfriend’s birthday so I decided to stop and get two cupcakes. I regret that decision. That aren’t too expensive, but they also aren’t too good. They put a significant amount of icing on them that hides any potential cake flavor. Plus the icing tastes just like Duncan Hines. Not the best place to go for a sweet treat.

Had a gigi cupcake waiting for me on my desk this morning. Had been wanting to try these for awhile, but couldn’t really bring myself to spending $ 3.25. In any case, I was able to taste the wedding cake cupcake. too much icing for a smaller cupcake, so I had to scrape most of it off. The cupcake itself was all right. not too dry, but it wasn’t as moist as I prefer and there was really nothing that make it pop. It really just tasted like vanilla to me, rather than having a distinctive ‘wedding cake’ flavor. I may give gigi’s another try and try another flavor. still not impressed with the frosting to cupcake ratio. I’d rather have MORE cake and less frosting for the price.

I had never been to a Gigi’s before so I was excited to try this location today when I met my friend at Easton. I decided on 4 mini-cupcakes; wedding cake, birthday cake, and 2 chocolate ones(unsure of names because they were for my boyfriend, not me! One was chocolate with chocolate icing and one was chocolate with white icing). It was $ 5.50. The cupcakes were moist, the amount of icing was perfect, and every bite was overall delicious. My boyfriend totally loved them too. The cashier was very friendly and nice. She was more than willing to help us and talk to us. Maybe my 5 stars is a result of not having gone to other locations but, for my first time at a Gigi’s, I loved it! I will definitely be back. i

Horrid! The cake and frosting ratio is just plain off! The cake part tastes like a processed box mix with grainy frosting on top. Canned frosting is far better. I question anyone’s taste level who gives this place anything higher than a 1! The young gal behind the counter looked as bored as could be and could have cared less if I was there! I don’t even think she said a word to me other than my total for my purchase. No «thank you» or «Please stop by again»…nothing! Go support a local bakery rather than a franchise!

I’m confused by the negative reviews. I’ve had Gigi’s before in indianapolis, in one where they bake them fresh. They still tasted good to me. We stopped by on a Saturday afternoon, and there weren’t that many flavors to choose from, expectedly(maybe 6 – 7). We know the deal. My only complaint is that the person behind the counter wasn’t super friendly. I asked about the slices of cake(already in plastic); I wanted to know if it was cake or what. It could have been cheesecake. I just asked if they were cake, and she just said yes. If you are trying to sell stuff, offer me up some info. Or put some signs out, ala the cupcakes.

Like any cupcakes in groceries and maybe less. I don’t find it fresh and I don’t recommend it to anyone. It all sugar.

I’m a Gigi’s devotee… loved the place. I couldn’t wait for it to come to Columbus so I wouldn’t have to go to Dayton. Tonight we went to give the Easton location a try and were appalled to see all of the cupcakes looked half the size(not even filling the cupcake liner!) with half the frosting and $ 3.50 per cupcake. Uhhh… no. My husband refused to get anything and I agreed and they even had a few of our favorites, Midnight Magic and Buckeye. I don’t know what is going on with the locations here but something is lacking big time given the other location is currently sporting a 2.5 rating. This is seriously disappointing. I would love nothing more than to see these locations thrive but it’s not looking so hot. Fingers crossed for ya Gigi’s.
