Someplace to remember but more for the people than the food. Their soup is great. The recipes border on whimsical. Orange chicken has a whole cooked and sliced orange on the place. The food is brashly served but more fried than braised or woked. Better than chain food and the pricing is good. Caution — two Chinese spots in the same plot. FORMOSA is the Chinese restaurant in the back, not the bad buffet in the front.

Pleasantly surprised! We stopped in for lunch on our way back from Galveston and were glad we did. The lunch specials were super affordable, tasted good and they had great sweet tea.

While I don’t have issue with the food, it was actually quite delicious, I was not pleased with the service we received here. The girl who seated us took our drink order and then disappeared for a good while(perhaps she was taking a phone order?) another lady eventually came to take our order. It was surprising it took them so long since we were one of only two tables. My BF ordered the combo fried rice and I ordered the dinner combo– beef and broccoli, wonton soup and egg roll. BFs entrée and my cup of soup came out at the same time. This would lead one to think that my beef and broccoli was hot on their heels. Sadly however, not so. Good thing the BF likes sharing because we had eaten all his fried rice plate before my food even arrived. The saving grace– my food was hot, fresh and delicious. Because of the time it took to order and get our food we probably won’t return next time we’re driving through.

I drove 40 miles for my craving got home and only had have the order I paid for. I’m assuming if the girl at the register would pay attention to the customers and not to the guy she was flirting with I might have gotten my whole order. Food is so so definitely not worth the drive and the rude cashier

First off, I love Chinese food. I live in Greater Houston area, with plenty of very good Chinese restaurants. I was working in the Columbus area and finally found this restaurant. I have eaten here 4 days in a row. A different dish each night. I highly recommend this restaurant. Most people go through the trouble of posting a negative comment when things go badly(in their mind), but I logged in to post a positive comment. Food is great, prices reasonable, employees polite. If you are in the area, you have to eat here. I wish they were near my house. I placed their number in my phone book for whenever I am driving by. What does that tell you?
