So, that place on Georgesville with the green awnings that looks like some rough and tough biker bar, is actually a place that houses some decent pizza on the west-side. I have yet to eat inside this location, but we always get pickup from here. Delivery is… iffy. Some days they have drivers… some days they don’t. The pizza is the Ohio standard cracker type crust, square cut and greasy. Oh boy, my arteries! They have those nice little pepperoni’s that like to curl up, and the rest of the ingredients aren’t too terrible, either. The sauce is slightly towards the sweeter side, as opposed to a full robust. There’s this pepperoni salad that everyone freaks the eff out about, but I can’t seem to understand why. It’s just a chopped Italian salad with cooked pepperoni. Try at your own whim, but it wasn’t a life changer for me. Emelio’s is one of the few pizza joints in the west corridor that hasn’t cheapened out to feed masses, and has stayed fairly consistent, so with that, I can gladly say, I’m a fan. Worth a try.

The pizza from this little bar was very delicious. I can’t believe I’ve been passing it by for so long, but it is very easy to miss. The man who took our order(I forgot his name) is very friendly and will hold a good conversation with you while you’re pizza is getting prepared. This is a place to give a try over the places that use conveyor belts and give you uncooked pizza.

Was able to prove to my boyfriend that he isn’t the o my one with surprises up his sleeves. This is his favorite pizza and after dating for 8 months, he still hasn’t let me try this gem. Well I got him in the car and drove myself(and him) for dinner. The salad was a great size and the pizza was good(what little I had since he ate most of it.). Can’t wait to go back. Loved the place as it is like a dive bar with awesome pizza. How could u go wrong with that?

Ordered a lg. pep. and chez. Delivery time was good. Wasn’t really impressed by the pizza. It was decent but nothing special. My chief complaint was that the crust was very chewy. There was also a chilli powder taste to the pizza.

I’ve been coming to Emelio’s for more than 15 years now. I figured it was time to write a review. Hands down this is the best pizza and salad in Columbus, maybe even all of Ohio. The pepperoni«cups» perfectly on the pizza. Even the salad has cooked pepperoni. The pizza crust is thin and crispy as you would expect cooked in a traditional stone pizza oven. It’s not a fancy place, really a bar where everyone knows everyone. If you’re in or near Columbus, it’s well worth a visit if you want outstanding pizza.

Perfect pizza is all I can say. I have found my new favorite pizza place, after 28 years on the west side of Columbus.

Amazing. The special salad was delightful and so was the pizza. Cheap beer and comfortable atmosphere. Will definitely stop by on my next time through Columbus.

On our crusade to check out as many pizza places as possible in the Hilltop area, we hit up Emelio’s. It’s tucked under a green awning on Georgesville, right next to the intersection with Sullivant. Definitely an unassuming restaurant, with the dark divey feel of a bar that hasn’t been updated since the early 80’s. We went on a Friday night, and the place was almost packed– only table seating for about 30 people, and all but one booth was full. The bar seats were full as well. Prices here were affordable. No craft draughts, but no surprises there. The menu is simple– pizza, subs, salads, and garlic bread for the sides. We had a pepperoni and pineapple pizza, which was pretty tasty. The pepperoni made it a bit greasy, but that’s par for the course I think. Their crust here is SOTHIN. Like, almost crackery in consistency. I tend to like a thinner crust, but was surprised at how wafer-like this pizza was. The sauce had a nice balance. Our server was really friendly and accommodating, but the restaurant itself was a bit loud. There are a lot of tvs crammed into a small space, so the combined volume was more bar level than restaurant level. The pizza is different and delicious though, so it’s worth a stop!

Wonderful place to grab some pizza and beer! The employees are a great bunch of people. Thin crust pizza is delicious and the pepperonis are incredible. Cooked just right, the way they curl up and crisp nicely. My waitress kept the beers coming without me asking twice! Great food, great service, stop in and try it out!

simply the best pizza in Columbus. I’ve been going here since birth, my dad would take me. Their crust is a thin, crunchy crust, the real pepperoni that curl in the oven and a blend of cheese. Don’t you DARE go there and get a pizza without ordering one of their special salads with the house dressing on it.

My favorite pizza in Columbus, Ohio. Is it the crust? Is it the old style pepperoni? Is it that yummy sauce? I can’t put my finger on what makes it so good but I really enjoy their pizza. The men who work here are a great group of guys. They make the atmosphere what it is; a fun place to visit weekly.

One of favorite pizzas of all time! Spicy pepperoni, mushrooms, onions it the way I get my pie. Super thin crispy crust. They have a «Special Salad» that is out of this world! Chopped lettuce, chunks of lettuce tomato, cheese and burnt pepperoni. NomNomNom

I stopped in Emelios with my wife for pizza and a beer for the first time. I ordered a Coorslite only to learn they only carry Bud products and havent had Miller products since 1987, say what? so I guess there must have been a disagreement or? in 1987. wow give your customers some choices. this is a business and there to provide good food good service and choices ob beverages and or food. they failed there. needless to say we left.
