I stayed at this Econo Lodge on November 29, 2015 for one night in a King room. The room smelled fresh when I checked in, and the furniture was free of dust except where you typically find it(behind things). The bed was hard. If you’re used to a plush mattress, this one isn’t going to cut it for you. There was a neat little surge protector thing screwed to the night stand, which I thought was awesome because it had USB ports built in… but they didnt work. There was a wall outlet fairly convenient for my laptop, and I leeched my cell phone off of that. The regular chair was a little disturbing, stains and had a faint smell. The desk chair was great, so I sat there instead. On the plus side: The price was VERY reasonable, especially with a Veterans Discount. The pillows were great, just the right size and thickness The WiFi was fairly strong and constant. The TV was clear and decent size. Water pressure was amazing! I Think it blew some of my skin off! The shower head was plenty high, but needed some TLC. All in all, I’d recommend this hotel to pretty much anyone that needs an overnight in Columbus. *If you’re planning to stay here for a visit to the Infantry Museum, be aware it’s closed on Monday… I wasnt :(

Second review of this hotel and i have to say the issues before are no where to be found so hats off to the GM Cecil Woods for that. You put yourself out there and made good on your promise. Great staff rooms are so clean you could eat off the floor. Have to say the lovely lady that cleaned our room did an outstanding job! Bessi(Bessy) not sure which it is but thank you so much the room was wonderful. I can say with out a doubt that when ever i am in this area i will be staying at this hotel always. Anyone looking for a nice clean place to rest your head that is so close the base you can almost see it this is the place be.

As in other reviews, staff is very accommodating. Room is a bit worn, but very comfortable and clean. I’m giving 2 stars because our non-smoking room had a faint smell of cigarette smoke when we walked in, probably due to smoking rooms nearby. After being in the room a little over an hour, my eyes & nose were burning. At 10:00 pm, and a long day on the road, it was too late to make any changes. I’m sure the staff would have been willing to try to help. Lesson learned. Stay only in totally smoke free hotels. This hotel is the closest to the base. Convenient for those wanting that proximity, however there are no convenient places to dine. Chose the hotel due to a very reasonable price and it was on our way on our road trip. But wouldn’t stay here again.

I’ve stayed here twice and will be making my third visit next week. Staff is friendly. The rooms are clean! The pool could use a little TLC, but that’s expected when anyone can just jump in. The only issues I had are; — My TV’s cable stopped working after being there for five minutes. — There was a funky smell in my room. — The WIFI is slow. Two of the three issues were address and handled by staff! I was impressed as I’ve stayed in hotels were they don’t bother to come by.

Location is not great! Kinda ghetto. But the cheap rooms is great. However you only get one tv channel which is syfy which sucks. And the pool has no lock so anyone can walk in… I would stay here again because it’s so cheap and the rooms are clean

Southern hospitality(staff were great,) CLEAN bedding, no pests, breakfast, Wi-Fi, no loitering drug addicts, pan handlers or prostitutes earned this Inn 4 stars from myself a traveling hotel hopping yuppie. It’s not the Hyatt hotel so the exterior may look a lil hmmm upon pulling up, but hey I’ve been to ridiculously high hotels in places such as Waikiki, with meth heads, hoes, and pan handlers running all outside the property. I’d rather get a lil peace of mind knowing my rental car isn’t getting molested outside, or I’m not getting harassed for money while coming and going. The pube hairs on the shower stall nicked the 5th star. I was in town for a basic training graduation and last minute hotel reservation thru reasonable price for no notice. If your traveling to Fort Benning for a graduation too this Inn is 4 minutes from the training gate for the grads. A gas station is a hop skip jump away no need to even drive there for snacks or mediocre odd and ends. Waffle House is right down the road for a cheap meal.

Four stars for friendly staff. At our arrival we were greeted by Will. We were exhausted, but he was just so damn perky, we loved it. So here’s the pros and cons. Pros: Right by Fort Benning, in five minutes we were already at sand hill. Friendly staff, rooms were clean. Comfy beds, extra towels, and if you like your water pressure high while you shower, you’ll like the shower. The rooms are a little small, but you can fit in the roll away bed. Free breakfast! Cons: Their wifi is super slow!!! Other than that it was a pleasant stay. Though to all you LTE users, the area surrounding Colombus only runs on 4g.

Location is not the best, but the service makes up for it and the free breakfast was delicious
