The décor feels like a regular Pizza Hut chain restaurant but the food makes up for it. Unlike Pizza Hut, the food isn’t overly greasy and it doesn’t make you feel terrible after eating it. I got the Pepperoni Zinger. The toppings were very generous with the fresh mozzarella and tons of pepperoni which covered the entire pie«edge to edge». The pie could have been cooked a bit longer because it kept falling apart when picked up. My favorite part of the meal was the added pepper which give the pizza a kick to it(hence the«zinger»).

I love what they’ve done with the space. Not only can you enjoy their famous pizza, but you can pair it with beer or wine. The staff is friendly and the modern space makes it fit in well with other businesses in the Short North. If you’re looking for a reasonably priced pizza, a can of Flat Tire, and a chill space, this is your place.

Absolutely NOT. I swear to goodness do not go here. They recently«remodeled» which may made the seating area smaller. So let me begin. I have ordered here every single week sometimes several times a week for my buisness and personal. We used to LOVE donatos. But we also have a love for their pepperonis. And in their promises online it states an edge to edge promise. So. I asked for triple pepperoni. On my pizza. I wanted a crap load of them to pick off and eat. I ordered a large. The pizza cost almost 20 $. I’ll never do that again by the way. I took one look at this 20 $ pizza and you can see so much of the cheese. Here I am thinking I’d be getting extra. So much for their edge to edge promise. I was so dissapointed. I called back and asked to speak with a manager obviously a woman. And she yelled to the employee that she’s BUSY. By the way. It was only noon. I ordered my pizza early to have it before our manager meeting. Any ways, so I said screw it. I then attempted to get in contact with the general manager, Jason. Whom by the way is almost ALWAYS unavailable. And so nothing was done about my order. It was obviously a regular pizza. A large pepp. Only costs 13 $. So it was a terrible experience. So i came back 2 days Later and to prove a point I ordered 2 pizzas for my kids and myself one regular one with 3x the pepp. They were both the same exact pizza. to which they said that’s how they are made. I said i wanted a refund for the extra toppings that I was charged for and did not recieve, they said they do NOT do refunds nor would they credit my phone number. They need to hire someone like myself as a general manager because I would give every single one of my customers an amazing dining experience, lower food costs and I would screen the people I hired to ensure great service even when I wouldn’t be there.

Nice little pizza spot on south campus at OSU. Recently remodeled and inviting; they have live acoustic music Thurs-Sat. Although nice, it was a little loud for the small space. It was hard to talk to people at the table. The restaurant specializes in pizza and wings. Anything from their classic thick, thicker and hand tossed pizzas to create your own. What goes better with pizza than shareable cheese bread and wings?! The bread was sinfully delicious with three cheeses and a perfect blend of Italian spices. I loved the crunchiness matched with the soft center. We had The Works pizza with hand tossed crust which was excellent! Italian sausage, pepperoni and veggies. So good! Our friends had the thin crust veggie and loved it as well. None of us was thrilled with the oven baked wings. Although flavorful, too wet and not crispy. I’m not a wing person but the«experts» in our group were not impressed. Suggest asking for well done in the future. Overall friendly staff and great environment. They are expanding the space by spring and added nt a bar, which will be really nice.

This is a herpes on the whole of the franchise. Wish I could give negative criticism all day and name call and muddling, but I order here about once a week and they have managed to mess up almost every week. Not only are they then are rude, and critical of you and blame you for their mistakes. Never an apology. I have waited btt

Very slow as it took our order 25 minutes to finish and I had to pick the pizza although I asked the cashier if I have to pick the pizza and it was communicated that the pizza will be served to our table. They got out order wrong and I had to argue with the cashier even though we were charged for what we ordered.

Review based TOTALLY on the service here. I love Donatos and since I no longer live in Ohio, I go back every time I am in Columbus. Went into the store on Monday and there was only 1 customner eating in. Took over 5 minutes for the countyer person to even come out from back and take my order. Placed my order — Large Peperoni pizza. After 30 minutes of sitting at my table I went up and asked how much longer. I was told it would be brought out in 15 mionutes. I was informed it would be brought out when it was ready. 15 minutes later I went back to the counter and asked for the manager. 45 minutes — no customers in the place and I finally get my pizza. Manager apologized but said they were getting hammered with delivery orders. That’s all well and good — but take care of the customers — customer in the restaurant. Wouldn’t go back

Going to campus on gameday to try and watch the game at a restaurant is near to impossible. Especially if you are traveling with little people that wouldn’t be able to hang out in a bar, you are going to be hard to find anywhere to watch the game. As a student we never had this problem as you were either at the game, at your apartment or showed up early to the bar. Any place on campus is going to be a three page wait or you have to show up for breakfast and hold a table for the whole day. Not a complaint, just a matter of fact. Now on to the Donatos review. Because of the above cirmustances, we decided to get a pizza and kick it in the hotel. We were closer to the location on campus at the time of order but it made more sense to call into this one as it is located off of campus and would be less busy. Our«large» pizza was ready in 15 and we also got a salad for pick up. Service was prompt and friendly as they provided me with extra plates and utensils for the fam. I guess we should have ordered more than just one pizza as a large was not enough for 5 hungry people. The salad helped but we just used this as a snack until we were able to go to dinner later. If you are visiting Columbus and want to have the area pizza than Donatos is the place. Thin style pizza cut into very small slices.

Donato’s? More like DO NOTo’s. My friends Maurice, Kohl, and I ordered pizza one night after drinking because all girls were being mean. We called and asked for a large pizza and cheesy bread and then sat quietly in chairs. The pizza guy showed up 20 minutes later. Like most pizza men, I could sense his fear. We paid him and accepted the food without examining it first– our mistake. Then the nightmare began. We opened the cheesy bread, which turned out to be a «cinnamon pizza» or as I call it «juvenile diabetes». It tasted like it was made from sugar concentrate and I estimate that it was about 400 thousand calories. Maurice got on the phone with the manager immediately and threatened him in Arabic. He used the words«kharouf» and«zibbe» several times, which mean«goat» and«dick», respectively. Twenty minutes later the pizza guy showed up again looking like he was about to cry. He handed us a new pizza and cheesy bread FORFREE. We won. Donatos: Buy 1 Get 1 Free if you yell in a foreign language.

The pizza is good and the people that work there are friendly. The Donato’s website is garbage. You can’t customize your order. It’s set on «Up-Sell»

I’d like to preface this by suggesting that I’ve had Donatos pizza perhaps 350 times… I know it sounds a bit exaggerated, but this is one of two places that I can actually make that claim. I can remember back to when I was just a wee lad and my family would frequent the weekly ‘pizza buffet’ which included everything from simple pepperoni to the more extravagant founder’s favorite, serious meat or dessert pizzas. I especially like the creativity of this«chain» pizzeria. My personal favorite is «pepperoni and almond» while I happen to know that others call on: «tomato and bacon» as their go-to. It’s certainly not the cheapest pie in town, but for the quality I’d easily place in the running for«biggest bang for your buck». So upon moving to downtown Columbus, you can imagine that one of my first moves was to find the nearest Donatos to gather my bearings. I happened upon two that were about the same distance, but I noticed that this particular location had less than stellar reviews. So, as a service to all you Unilocalers out there, I(a questionably self-proclaimed Donatos super-fan) had to go make sure everything checked out. So I just got back from the Donatos on high street experience, and to save you the suspense the pizza was awesome per usual. But to keep you reading, I will grant that the service was highly questionable. Upon arrival there was a couple finishing their order and another guy picking up his. We’ll call him Bob. Leaving me third in line. They couldn’t seem to locate Bob’s order, so good ol Robert was good enough to suggest that I could go ahead with my pick-up order. Payment was prompt, but delivery was not. I was told«just a minute». No problem, I’ll check into Unilocal during my wait. In the interim we find out that they sent Bob’s order out for delivery. Start making him a new pizza there. A few minutes go by and they tell me that they made my pizza incorrectly, no problem I’ll wait. Five minutes go by and a guy walks in with a completely different pizza that was incorrectly delivered to his house. The manager replies«yeah, I caught that too late but I made you another pizza to be sent out». Turns out the new one he made was also incorrect. Let’s recap: my 2nd pizza in the oven, Bob’s 2nd pizza in the oven, guy that walked in 3rd pizza in the oven and who knows where the couples pizza was. About this time the only other patrons in the place come up to the counter, see the group of «pizza waiters», and decide to turn back around to their seats pizza-less. Perhaps 30 minutes from my original order and they hand me 2 large pizzas instead of one, saying«sorry for the wait». No problem, pizza for the week! Can’t say that my enthusiasm was upheld by the couple, «Bob», the walk in customer or the patrons. But I was certainly satisfied!

Love Donatos pizza! This location is fantastic for people watching in the Short North… I just wish they’d update their music. Ha! It’s actually a nice place to dine in(besides the music) surprisingly peaceful!

People keep telling me «I gotta get Donatos» so I was feeling pretty amped up to try this(local?) chain. Ordered a sausage, tomato, and onion pizza and was ready to get my grease on. Overall, the pizza was pretty good, but it did not make me tap dance and I had no problem stopping eating before I got to the point of rolling around the floor in agony(which lets be real, I totally do on good food). The pizza was also sliced in a way that seemed to scream«I’m different!» — a round pizza was cut up into a bunch of tiny squares. That style makes too many pieces hard to pick up and too much of a mess. I don’t have time to use a napkin between every bite, makes my beer bottle all greasy!

Since we just moved here, I figured we’d try a few of the local chains. People were hyping up the thin crust Donato’s pizza with pepperoni. A nice crisp and flaky crust complimented by a well-spiced pepperoni. The sauce had a good tang too. I’d probably get it again… but not at this store. We dined in, and the girl taking our order was in a complete daze. When she finally brought out our pizza, she brought no plates, silverware, red pepper, cheese… nothing. We had to go up and get it all ourselves. There were some less-than-appealing diners inside as well. A customer with no shoes on, a gentleman who looked and smelled homeless, etc.

it’s… shockingly decent. I never eat at chain restaurants. why would I? there are plenty of more delicious pizza options. Donatos and its other brethren chain pizzerias are like Taco Bell to me. I could just go across the street to Junior’s Tacos for some genuine article delicious tacos, but sometimes I just want some faux-Mexican food. and bingo, Taco Bell to the rescue. I regret it later, but it serves its purpose. so my boyfriend was sick with the flu and his sickly request was«crappy pizza.» Don’t ask me what was going through his fever-induced brain. neither of us had ever ordered Donatos, so we gave it a shot. the pizza we received was definitely standardized, precision-engineered pizza product, but you know, it was actually pretty good. Better than Dominos, and definitely better than Pizza Hut. and it was almost immediate in terms of delivery speed. lazy mediocrity accomplished!!!
